-mayhem madness- fire, dark and burning bright. bright as day, yet, gives no light. in the shadows of the night. take away immortal sight. Mayhem laughed at Ari's words, pleased with her dark presence. He found her odd ways unique, and her missing eye was intriguing. He liked that she had scars, and her missing eye was something that he would want to find out what happened eventually. Mayhem smirked at her slight smile.
"Oh, how I would hate to see you all by your lonesome self. That is why I am asking you to join my herd. I promise there will be much blood shed to come in the future."
He stated, his tail flicking listlessly back and forth as he waited impatiently for her response. He hoped she would join him. Of course, he had no herd members yet, but the thought of his 'army' growing and conquering the land of others pleased him.

she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. "That is why I am asking you to join my herd."
Ari's teeth clacked together as she bit down a grin, her lips pulling back to reveal her incisors. She couldn't help but recall that at one point this had been all she had wanted, to be accepted into the herd. She was ecstatic in the way she'd never been before, only her exterior was much less open to the emotion, likely from unfamiliarity of it altogether. Instead she allowed her head to bob in acknowledgement, rather than apparent insanity.
"You ought only to make promises you can keep. But I'll take my chances."
Ariado absently knocked the crown of her skull into Mayhem's neck, in a sort of affirming gesture. She wasn't worried about crossing a line, mostly because it wasn't consciously done. Afterwards though, she contemplated his possible responses and outweighed them to the conclusion that she wouldn't care if he lashed out either.
"I suppose I'll be your first," the mare grinned coyly.

Fear smiled just a bit at the stallion’s offer, but had to make sure that stag did not see it. It was not a friendly smile by any means, it was a mocking smile because of how big a fool this stallion before him was. He was allowing Fear to stay here for the night? Did he have any brains? Fear held back a dark chuckle, he was foolish.
“I think I would enjoy a nice rest here…especially in such a nice place…” He answered, adding the later part in a slightly lower tone. He chuckled darkly before walking off, heading off to one of the many caves that could be found on his land. He had to admit, he did like that. However he had no intentions on taking this place, he just needed the stallion to be a little worried. It amused him.
The large black stallion walked over to the nearest cave, walking inside before turning around and laying himself down in the front. He did not go to bed though, simply watched the two in front of him converse and stared at the huge moon. Winter was setting in, causing the air to get nice and cold. Times like these made him want someone by his side, and then he remembered that he was too terrible to ever have someone by him. No one wanted a monster like him.

-mayhem madness- fire, dark and burning bright. bright as day, yet, gives no light. in the shadows of the night. take away immortal sight. Mayhem grinned to himself at his accomplishment. The start of his army. It was really happening. Though this was the first time leading his own herd, he felt the confidence of and elder, and envisioned as him and his army took the other lands over, leaving corpses on the dead ground, and the trees and forest covered with red; the blood of the weak. He was knocked out of his thoughts at Ari's skull crashing into his neck. His lips pulled back into a mischievous as he turned and bit down, hard into her shoulder, leaving a mark of his teeth into her flesh, thus, causing a scar to be formed eventually. It was his way of, sort of, branding his army. So that others would look at the scar placed on their flank and instantly be frightened.
"Ready yourself for the next couple days, Ari, my dear. There will be much bloodshed. And my promise to you, shall be kept."
He spoke in a deep voice, his eyes staring straight ahead as if envisioning his plan in front of him. He snapped out of it, realizing Fear still being here. He turned and headed for the cave he was in, stopping right in front of the opening. The moon's bright shadows darted from his body, leaving Mayhem's figure ghost-like in the night. He stepped forward with grace, his sharp daggers making almost no noise as he closed in on the stag. He stood behind him, baring his teeth with a smile, and dropped his head quickly, biting into the stag's flesh and leaving blood in it's trace. He stood quickly, stepping back in case Fear wanted to lash back. A dark smirk pulled at Mayhem's lips, and his dark black eyes stared straight at Fear's.
"Now then, Fear. You will join my army and help me take over the lands of the weak and struggling. It is only our duties as Darks to do so. I will need your wits on this journey, so be ready in a couple days."
As he finished, Mayhem waited patiently for Fear's reaction, and wondered what he would do at Mayhem's brand upon him. The moon was slowly started to fall, evading the sun as it rose from it's slumber and filled the dark land with it's light.

she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. Ari squealed objectively as she felt Mayhem's teeth pierce her shoulder, pointedly striking out with her front legs at nothing in particular. The pain at her side wasn't as soothing as she should have found it, and instead she felt a terrifying nostalgia. While she felt the natural rage of being scarred and wanted nothing more than to kill something, someone in retaliation, Ari recognized it as a sort of claiming mark and instead of lashing out on her new lead stallion, began to swing her head around violently before it fell into a harmless rhythm. She could not afford to be kicked out of yet another herd. "Charming," she managed, voice staggering with controlled rage, tone was oddly sane.
With each bob of her skull her forelock swung away from her empty eye socket and Ari watched the motion-blurred images of the two stallions as Mayhem bit into Fear as well. She stomped her hooves manically in protest while her lungs let out an unnerving shriek, unable to keep down her jealousy. She ceased her incessant head tossing and bent her neck unnaturally until her jaw touched her chest. She watched curiously as her own blood leaked down her side from the shoulder, trying to rub the blaze of her face into it and failing to stretch far enough. Ari snorted and pointedly snapped her tail at Mayhem's rear legs in pointless anger, demanding attention.

Fear was not one to be taken advantage of or snuck up on, But Mayhem was behind him and had bit him before he even had time to react. Rage swelled up inside Fear as soon as he realized what the stallion had done, and it took everything in him not to attack this foolish equine before him. He had no right to do so, Fear had no intentions of joining a herd unless he made his own. He did not take orders, if anything he gave orders. His ears were pinned back and flat on his head and he was face to face with the other stallion.
“Did you think I was yours for marking? Did I ever once agree to join this herd? I will do the invasion, but not for you, only for my own sick pleasure. You must remember, you need me not the other way around. I do not need you or this herd, and unless you talk to me like an equal being I will happily move on and be by myself once again. I am not some lowly being you can just give orders too, and I will not take them from you,” Fear spoke up, rage and anger surging from his voice. He would not stand this stallion, and it would not be hard for him to leave.
The black stallion waited for the reply of Mayhem, not that he really cared. He hoped he kicked him out, or refused his wishes. If he did, he would just leave. It would not bother him one little bit. He could cause his own death and destruction by himself, like he had been for the last six years. He did not rely on a group to do bad things, he actually thought that was rather weak of the two. Were they not strong enough to do their duties by themselves? Fear could hear the angry mare close to Mayhem, but paid her no attention. She was just annoying him in his angry state, and he really just wanted her silenced.

-mayhem madness- fire, dark and burning bright. bright as day, yet, gives no light. in the shadows of the night. take away immortal sight. Mayhem smirked as his black auds picked up the seemingly controlled rage within Ari's voice. He winked at her before he left to speak to Fear.
Surprised that Fear had not struck him back, he watched him, the same devious smirk on his face as Fear spoke, glancing the disarrayed flesh on the stag's body and watching the blood drip down with fascination. He snapped out of his thoughts as Fear finished, the smirk on his face leaving and being replaced with a frown, his face full of wrath and vexation, and his body and muscles twitching with itching anticipation. He walked over to Fear once again, face to face, his nose just barely touching the other stag's. He lifted his head and what escaped from his lips were savage, hushed words of controlled fury.
"Now listen to me, Fear. I have been very gentlemanly to you ever since you arrived. You're lucky I haven't slit your throat yet for so stupidly stumbling on my land and acting like you own the world. You will join us, and you will listen to me. Otherwise I will not be looking you as a fellow Dark, but I will have to kill you. You've already been branded into my army, so I guess it's not really your choice anymore. Take your petty confidence and ego and go back into your little hole, because you will not fight me, and if you do, you will not beat me. This is my land.
He kept his sooty eyes on Fear as he finished, not moving a single muscle in his ominous stance. He hated dealing with stallions, and he had no empathy for the bound of ego in front of him. He waited for a response, not even realizing Ari's attempt at attention, but completely focusing on the stag in front of him with a solidified, rigid body.

Fear was not one to back down, and he was not doing so now. This stallion could not just expect him to join and be happy. He was a loner at heart, he had just been passing by. But he would not submit to this brute in front of him, he would die or leave before he did such a thing. His words did not affect him, or the threat. The black stallion barely paid any mind to it actually. A dark chuckle left the stallion’s lips before he shook his head.
“I was simply passing through, not looking to join your herd or your take over. I have no intentions to take orders from others, and this brand on my shoulder will not stop me from leaving. So you leave me in my hole and stop with the ordering, or you will fight me and once I am done I will leave. This being your land stops me from nothing, I don’t care where we are. You will not do this to me,” He talked, the anger and rage building up anymore, his body rigid and ready to fight.
With one quick move Fear could easily kill this fool, if not severely handicap him. He was a fool if he took on Fear now. If he did manage to kill him, which was highly unlikely, Mayhem would still come out extremely injured and with one less horse in his take over. How was he supposed to take over the loners while he was injured and he only had the one eyed mare? He wouldn’t be taking over anything, he would be sending them to slaughter.

she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. At being ignored, Ari was more than upset. How ungrateful Fear was. How infuriating, the center of all attention. But rather than provoke her new lead stallion into turning his rage on her, she took steps towards Mayhem and stood back from the two stallions. She was hardly stupid enough to fight one of them, even if she thought she could take them. Her loyalties had already been laid with Mayhem, even if she'd known him all but an evening.
However, when the two stags stepped within breathing distance of each other, her mood improved significantly. Ari clacked her teeth together in a grin, manic laughter escaping her lungs. She swatted her tail left and right, only hitting herself in her stomach but neither acknowledging it nor caring. It had been too long since she'd seen a good fight, and her only eye was peaked with sick interest.
Her sight traced the remains of old fights on Mayhem's torso, admiring each scar with excruciating detail. She thought they were rather beautiful. It was prejudice in the way she told herself that Fear's scars were meaningless and disfiguring, but she thought that way nevertheless.
While she waited for a first blow, she turned her attention back to the drying blood on her own shoulder, watching it crust over and darken with curiosity. Fear now had a matching mark, and it made her unbelievably jealous. He wasn't even grateful of it. Ariado took to Mayhem's side, just far enough from him to be clear of any stray kicks. Not once did her ears move from where they pinned against her skull.

-mayhem madness- fire, dark and burning bright. bright as day, yet, gives no light. in the shadows of the night. take away immortal sight. Mayhem watched as Fear spoke, his face covered in a dull expression, as if the stag's seemingly menacing words were a bore to him. After Fear was done with his speech. Mayhem lifted his head to speak again.
"I will do anything I shall please to do, Fear. Because, you see, this is my land, so if you do not want to follow my directions, then you can simply leave. Keep in mind that I have your blood in my teeth, and you? A brand on your shoulder. If you decide to run away like a scared little boy, I will find you, and I will slaughter you until there's nothing left but your petty bones. Your ego and willingness for suicide is adorable, and it amuses me. Fight me if you wish, Fear. It is your blood, not mine that will be spilled to the ground."
Mayhem smirked devilishly at the end of his speech, glaring at Fear with complete exasperation. He added one more sentence to complete his maddened words, and it was like icing on the cake to Mayhem.
"Oh and I bet your blood will taste marvelous. Don't you think, Ari dear?
He glanced back, realizing Ari had taken his side, and felt even more confidence in himself. He'd never had another horse take his side or fight with him, and the fact that he already had Ari pleased him. He gave a quick wink at her with a smirk, then turned back to Fear with the same glorified, raging expression.

she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. Ari was grinning eagerly, bobbing her head enthusiastically with each of Mayhem's retaliating words. In the back of her mind she was craving bloodshed and violence, and it was quite apparent on her exterior as well. She hopped gracefully from one foot to the other in anticipation, head swinging and dark man draping over either side with the movement.
Everything stopped unceremoniously when she caught a flicker out of the corner of her remaining eye. She stood at full attention, nostrils flaring and breathing haggardly as her ears pulled forward. The instant that she recognized the object as a bird, she took off galloping, tearing up the dirt underneath.
Ari ran harder than she'd ever done before, forgetting entirely the two stallions bickering. Her legs creaked and shook violently as she kept running after the low-flying bird. The mare seemed to be putting the pain in the back of her mind, or perhaps she didn't feel it in the first place.
She came to a violent halt when the bird vanished instantly from the air. Her hooves caught the dirt as she skidded ungraciously to a stop, her legs immediately buckling under her own weight. Even with her legs giving out underneath her though, she tried desperately to stay on her hooves, head flinging around flippantly, trying to find the lost bird.
Eventually she couldn't bring herself up any further, her body unable to take the unnatural stress on it and her side impacted sharply to the ground with a heavy thud. She only held consciousness for a few moments after, her only eye pressed into the dirt, leaving her to see nothing but black earth as she went out.

Fear could feel the need to attack this stallion in front of him, to take down the opposing force, yet he decided to listen to what he had to say. The words that left his mouth fully reiterated to him how stupid and how egotistic this stallion was, not he like Mayhem believed. Fear did not ask for this mark, or to be in this herd, so he was very bold in believing he could keep any horse here and make other’s listen to his demands. He was setting his herd up for failure before he even got it really started.
And for him to amuse, or be extremely confident, that he would be able to kill Fear without even shedding blood was the most ego-filled part of it all. Did this stallion believe himself to be a God that couldn’t be hurt because he was on his land? Land would not save him, and nothing would save him once Fear unleashed his anger and fury on him. He was not a pawn in a game, or an equine to be owned and pushed around. And he would not leave this herd running away, no he would leave this herd because Mayhem had fallen and he was tired of this stallion’s views and actions.
Fear was about to take the first action in killing this horse in front of him, he was tired of meaningless words, but before he could do so the mare grabbed his attention. She took off, even though she had seemed pretty interested in their impending fight. He watched in confusion as she ran after something, though there was nothing in sight. He watched as the mare struggled to stay on her feet and then watched as her body collided with the ground.
The black stallion felt no need to go over to her as she didn’t get up, that was Mayhem’s job as the lead stallion. There was no worry in Fear’s mind about Ari, because he really didn’t care about her. Or Mayhem. He was leaving this place during the invasion, he was going to find a way to slip away, and then those two could try and make this herd work. Fear had to hold back a dark chuckle though. A lead stallion that thought he owned and controlled everything on this land, didn’t give other’s any choice, and was stupid about what he said and did, and a crazy one eyed mare who was attention seeking and rather annoying most of them time. Oh yes, they would go very far here.

Mayhem grinned, his hooves leaving the ground in a swift, forceful movement. A loud shriek escaped his vocal chords and rang through the air, echoing throughout the barren lands with eeriness.
"Let's go."
He said loudly, glancing at the other two beside him, realizing that he did not have much, in strength and numbers, but was hoping that he would be able to find some more members within their journey. He took one last glance at his land, realizing that he was leaving it unattended and might have to deal with another stallion trying to steal it while he's gone. He shook his head, snorting in annoyance at the thought, if it ever happened and lifted his sooty black legs, stepping carefully on the dead ground and towards the lands inhabited by the "loners".

As kronos wandered over a small hill he looked down and around him to notice a darker part of the valley where other horses seemed to be lounging together. Snearing to himself, Kronos took off at a swift, stretched out trot towards the river where it rounded into a pond. Stoppping just outside of it he snorted as his nose picked up the smell of fish, jerking his head down and bac towardshischest. The movement sent his bottom lip wiggling funny. Lowering his head again he sniffed the water before wading into it slowly as to not shock himself in the cold. As the water reeped up his legs in the middle he felt something swim past him, making him jerk his legs back before splashing noisily out of the river and back onto the awrm sandbar where he shoock himself. Kronos then looked around to find a fairly sandy spot under a small gathering of bent up trees and trotted ofer to that before rolling in the awrmer, sunny spot, grateful for the well worn ground as it soaked up the water and itched into his coat. The small shade from the bent trees made him close his eyes as he reached around onto his back in the dirt, swinging his legs under him upon finishing and dragging himself up before grazing on the smal bits of grass surounding his small little spot.
