Lay of the Land
Before coming a full, role playing member, please make sure that you read and understand all the rules. If you have read the rules and don't understand them, please get a hold of Rorulent., Kristen, Emily, to ask any of the questions you might have. We do not intend for the rules to be to hard or too strict, but we do uphold some guidelines. STAFF MEMBER :: KRisten updated :: 12/27/14 The Basics: One. Be polite and courteous to all staff and members. We're here to have fun and promote a friendly environment! Be creative, original, and fair! When you create a character try to make something unique! Make sure your character is not perfect. While role playing with others your character may not power play (control the other character) or god-model (be impossible to kill, harm, or injure). Two. Grammar, word count, and spelling are important! We'd appreciate it if you would be literate, spell check before you post, and attempt to post decent length sentences. (ie. She wandered through the misted groves, dreaming of her past. VS. She walked in the forest.) Three. You may have as many characters as you want, but they all must remain active. If one becomes inactive you will be notified. Four. Please try and be active by posting at least one to three post a week to show that you are active and still hanging around here. Though if you do not post or let us know that you are away in the away board then you will get an email from us and if that is not answered in three weeks. We will then send you one more giving you one last chance warning before your posts and characters are archived. Five. There is also a 200 word minium here, but there is no maximum that we have. So please be creative and post away after your character has been created. Six. There is no God-Modeling or Power- Playing unless whoever you are role-playing with is perfectly fine with you doing so. Though make sure that you ask and put up a post so that we see that you are being allowed to do so. Seven We like to keep the site over all PG13, but we do not limit you to that in character. We only ask that if the post is going to be more graphic, post a warning so those who do not wish to read something above PG13 do not have to.
In Character: One. You are not allowed to post in any of the lands until your character has been accepted by a staff member, this rules includes staff members wanting to make new characters. The post must be commented as accepted as well as moved onto an alliance sub-board in the accepted thread. If this rule is broken, your character will not be accepted. Two. We do allow some odd markings but not something that is super extreme. If you have any kind of questions on a certain marking that you want done. Please do not be scared to take the time to PM a staff member or place the question in the shout box where a staff member can answer your question. Three. No crazy colored horses like a purple horse with green markings and glowing eyes, stick to natural colors. This is not allowed since we are a realistic horse rpg. This also counts for eye color, please no purple or pink ect eye colors. Four. There is also no magical power or anything fantasy-like allowed here. Five. Please make sure that when you are posting height stats that if your horse is 15.4 hands that you move it up to 16 hands high. For horses can only go up to .3 in hands if anything higher than .3 we will ask you to move it up to the next height.
Herds: One. Herds can be claimed by a stallion or mare. Two. Please do not post any post within an unclaimed herd land. It will be deleted unless it is a claiming form Three. You must fill out the form in order to own a herd land and then it must be approved by a staff member. Four. Your horse must be over the age of three before claiming a land. Five. You will be given a notice if your herd has been labeled inactive. You must be active and posting if you have a herd, and after two weeks of no posting you will be sent an email saying your herd is now an "inactive" herd. If you do not return in two weeks or explain your absence, you will lose your herd. This rule does not count if you post in the Away section of the boards.
Breeding:
One. Mares are only allowed one foal per each "year"in the game. Two. Each year lasts a total of eight real life months. Each season last a total of two real life months. Three. Foals must be filled out like a regular character that you want to be accepted. Do not make your foal perfect please. Four. There is no graphic breeding allowed unless the board states its above a PG13 rating so those who don't want to read it can stay away.
Fighting:
One. When fighting, remember that your character is not perfect. God-modeling is not allowed, your horse does get injured. If there is a problem with this, please notify a member of staff so we can handle the situation. Also do not make your post too graphic, unless you state in the thread title it is above a PG13+ rating. Two: If fighting for land or something else dependent on a fight and who will win, the fight will be judged by two or more staff members. Each member will post a total of three post back and forth, and then staff will judge it and decide who wins.
