Image of the Land- (Ps. THERE IS NO TOWER, xD this is what I picture the land minus the tower lol) Description- Waterfall to the north, secret cave entrance/exit behind it. Apple trees to the east, valley to the west, creek that washes down from the waterfall right though the middle, and a small hill in the middle of the lands that slade likes to stand atop to watch his herd (where the tower is in this pic= the small hill) Besides the secret entrance behind the waterfall the only other way to enter is the vine covered cave on the south side. Not many equines actually stumble upon it.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. (I don't know what to say it was just a twist of fate when it all broke down)
The colorless brute stood atop of his favorite hill among the land that he now called 'his' This was perfect, this life, the life of a lead stallion, it was something he completely and unexpectedly 'fell' into. Though he thoroughly enjoyed it, he was very much a natural leader and always wanted to have control over every situation, thus it was perfect. This land was the place he loved and now he was able to share it with others that he would grow to love and care about as well. The season was fall, the winds were starting to pick up and the leaves were already in many various colors, amber, orange, yellows and reds. It however, was also the season for mating, but Slade was not even interested. After two failed relationships he wasn't quite sure how another would work. One thing was for sure, the equine would have to equal him out, not throw gas on his firey temper. He was a true believer in good karma, and that everything happened for a reason, so deep down in his heart he knew there would eventually be someone out there to fill his empty void.
Right now though, he was focused on his herd, though only containing one member, and a stag at that, named Rinne... Well, the benefit of it was better firepower in a fight, or you would usually think that, though Rinne seemed like a pretty careless, hopeless case of a stag. Slade wasn't too optimistic in his true fighting abilities...
Though he pressed on through his thoughts and lifted his head into the slight wind to take a deep breath of the crisp air. It was starting to get a little colder, another obvious change in the seasons of course. His mane lapped at his black and white neck as his ears perked to catch the sounds of a nearby squirrel running down a tree. It was so peaceful and he was almost at a loss of what to do next. If only something interesting would happen that would fufill his boredom.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Hello. -------------------
"So many people are shut up tight within themselves like boxes, yet they would open up, unfolding quite wonderfully, if only one was interested in them."
Hiding behind the trees, the young dove stared carelessly at the two others in front of her. White coat beaming in the sunlight, she was foolish if she thought that she could hide and never be found. A velvety quiet laugh escaped her vocal chords as she looked down to her hooves, almost pure white, contrasting against the dark earth. Hael never appreciated being alone, and was surprised to find two others, well, two stallions in fact. They intimidated her. Ever since one came and her mom fell behind him so blindly, she closed up to the opposite sex world. In a sense, she just doesn't trust them, all because of her mom., but she can't stay alone anymore. That is the largest fear that she must escape, even if it means trusting these two strangers.
Being her shy self, she warily steps out of the brushes and starts to walk toward them, feeling her vision blur around her in panic as she keeps her eyes and head low in submission. Thoughts ran carelessly through her mind of danger, telling her,
"Don't do it Hael, you'll get yourself killed!" "You think you can trust these two? Look at them, all alone, no other mares in sight."
She tossed her head, getting angry at herself for being so naïve. Her breath quickened as she got closer and closer; she was never well at meeting others, or talking matter of fact.
"Hello. My name is Hael."

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade took notice of something after the squirrel caught his attention, there was a slight sweet scent among the air, and not one that belonged to Rinne. Though as feminine as he did seem to Slade. The large brute paused and directed his attention south, toward the front of his lands he could just barely make out a very light colored figure and putting two and two together, knew it was a mare he had just picked up the scent on. His listening devices atop his poll swiveled as he lifted his right front leg and pawed his charcoal hoof down into the earth below him. It was ment as a warning for Rinne, just incase the fea was of envious demeanor he didn't want to have to save Rinne from certain death already. He let the mare approach him as he studied her movement, she seemed rather shy, walking with her head low and movement very slow and cautious. Obviously this type of situation with two stallions in the same place would be a scary one for some equine but usually if there are two stallions in an area; 'getting along' you probably have a pretty good chance at also surviving.
Slade had a very straight look among his face, like he did 90% of his life anyway. This mare so far didn't really bother him, nor show signs of most envious mares. She was closer now to him and he stepped up to greet her just as she spoke words from her velvet lips. He listened carefully as she spoke of her name and he politely dipped his head towards the ground before rising it back up to announce his name as well.
"Welcome, Hael. My name is Slade." His voice deep yet almost welcoming. There was a short pause as his eye scanned over her bodice. She was a good sized mare, pretty, and from her body language, very shy and to her self. Stags could never complain about that in a mare, it always ment less drama and trouble. His brain rattled with many thoughts but he pushed them a side for a moment to continue his words.
"You have stumbled upon my herd, please don't worry, Rinne over there can't even hurt a harsh biting fly." he spoke, while making a gesture with his nose towards Rinne. " As for myself, I am in a good mood right now and in the presence of a very pretty mare, so no need to worry about me either." As a small half smile peeked through his velveteen muzzle. "Can I be of any assistance to you? Lost? Alone? or just need someone to talk to?" And there he left it, gazing into the mares eyes with a gentle and caring way about him.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat. -------------------
A prisoner. The perfect word for what she was. She was a prisoner, not only in the world around her, but in her own mind. She was captured and locked away where no one would give her a second glance. She wasn't worth anything and would amount to nothing. That is what she believed.
She believed that she was cursed. Being thrown into the deepest pits of Hell may have been better because there, at least, she would've earned it. There, she would be welcome. Here, in this forsaken place, she was nothing. She had no one. She could do nothing. She couldn't even take care of herself. She hadn't made herself that way; that was what she believed.
Hael stopped in front of the brute, eyes still warily to the ground. Her small ears picked up his voice; so deep, but caring in a way. She looked up at him with icy eyes, searching his face and watching his body for any signs that he would hurt her. This was a big step for her; actually approaching others. Foolish, in a way, because who knows what or who lies within this unknown area? She watched him scan her body, and she slowly turned her head away in embarrassment. Hael never thought she was pretty, but ugly in fact. She looks at herself as dull, and boring. Maybe that's why she doesn't trust well; because she's too busy thinking of what other people think of her. Hael's eyes scaled to the brute named "Rinne" and watched him closely. For a second, she felt stupidity take over her mind.
"Curiosity really did kill the cat, Hael."
She scowled at the thought and snorted at herself. Regaining herself, she decides to come back to reality and look at Slade. Listening to him compliment her, she lowers her head once more and scowls once more. A brisk, surprising giggle escaped her vocal chords as she looked back up at him quickly.
"Thank you, but I am no where near pretty. And as for your good mood as of the moment, what shall happen if you are suddenly not in a good mood anymore? It frightens me to think of what a brute like you, could do to me. "
The words escaped her vocal chords in a hush, anxious way as she looked at Slade. Could she bring herself to trust him? She quickly brushed past her last question and started to speak, in an attempt to forget what she just said.
"Stupid Hael..." Tossing her head back down, she regained her small, shy voice and continued.
"Besides of that, I am alone. I have been wandering for awhile, trying to find others. You are the first."

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade just stood there, he noticed her reactions when he mentioned about her being pretty and he could tell that she absolutely wasn't one of those mares that thought they were everything. That the world revolved around them. Oddly enough, he really did like that about her. She was much different then any other fea he had come across but to him, in a good way. He liked the gentle yet unsure tone in her voice and how she didn't walk into his herdlands like she owned the place. This fea, Hael, he could get used to.
"Now now, the only one who doesn't believe they are pretty would be you." Slade paused and smiled. "I think you are very pretty, I watched your pelt shine in the suns rays while you walked over here. A sparkling hide always give's any horse a nice 'glow'." for lack of better words of course. He wasn't the smartest when it came to advanced vocabulary.
He wanted so badly to nudge her and pick her head up from looking so low, give her some self confidence, but wasn't sure what her reaction would be if he tipped his velvet nose down to meet hers to raise her head. Thus, he kept his actions to his thoughts,, something for later. "As for my good mood, I'm generally always in a good mood, there are only few ways to break that. One would be to hurt my friends, family or herd members. Another would be to hurt me and lastly, would be to disrespect me. Though, the positive side, is that I NEVER will attack or even lay a bite on a fea unless she has done one of the above, to deserve it." The large colorless stag paused and smiled, his optics once again gazing over her figure. "So don't go all ninja on me, and you'll be just fine." He let out a small chuckle before a half smile appeared again across his maw. This was good, making friends, or future herd member, he hoped anyway, and curing his boredom all at the same time. Perfect. "Ah, Rinne and I are the only equine's you've come across eh? Well should we be so lucky! I'm glad you stumbled upon us, Hael. Tell me. Are you in possible search of permanent company? If so, I might know of a certain lead stallion who would love your company. He has a rather small herd right now that has room for glowing mares such as yourself." Slade spoke, before winking his right eye at her and gazing down into hers.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Depends. -------------------
Hael still couldn't believe how stupid she could be sometimes. So naïve, so innocent it seemed. She hated that about herself. She wish she had just one strong bone in her body to stick up for herself, to argue, or to even flirt. Maybe it would make her life more exciting.. Yet, she couldn't mentally or physically do it. And she hated herself for it. Nervously, she pulled a couple blades of grass from the earth below, only to embarrass herself more by dropping it sloppily out of her mouth and back down on the ground, now covered in her saliva. She snorted in disgust at herself.
"Goddamit Hael, relax."
All of her thoughts told her to relax, that she was being ridiculously stupid, but her body just couldn't help herself.
"Well as complimentary as you are Slade, knowing it and seeing or thinking it are two different things. That's one thing that others do, they think and see, but they don't know, or they don't want to know."
Her words were soft, barely noticeable in a gentle whisper kind of way. It surprised even herself, and she threw her head up to look at him again. Realizing that her sentence probably didn't make sense to him and that it might have held a different, deeper meaning to herself, she snorted and continued.
"I'm glad that you are in such a good mood."
She said those words subtly, almost angrily. Realizing this, she gave Slade a quick reassuring smirk, and went back to her usual emotionless face.
"I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to be a ninja, so don't worry about that aspect."
Looking at her creamy white legs and coat, she looks back up at Slade and giggles. She would not be one to blend in or sneak around.
His comment about a permanent home stiffened her body and paused her thoughts. Would she be able to just throw herself into this herd, with no experience, nothing?
"What would your mother think?
That brief thought flashed across her mind and was gone in an instant. No, she cannot live up to her mothers expectations anymore. She was the one who left her.. Her mother is the reason she's out alone like she is.
"Depends.."
One simple word in a harsh tone is all Hael replied back to Slade's statement. She felt herself closing up once again, closing off her thoughts and emotions like she always used to.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. The stag took in every movement that Hael made. There was something up with her, she seemed almost.. mad at herself? She was absolutely a totally different kind of fea then he had ever met. She didn't seem self confident and surely wasn't much of a talker. Instead she was quiet, shy and reserved. Although, as she spoke, she had confused the mind of the large brute. Therefore, proving her vocabulary was beyond his, she was for sure a smart mare even if she didn't know it. The way she cautiously approached, the way she spoke, moved and handled meeting a random stallion...
He smiled and ever so slightly nodded as she spoke for the second time, the words ringing through his ears, commenting on his mood and that she couldn't be a ninja. He shifted his weight and waited for her to be finished. Slade could tell that when he brought up the mention of joining the herd that it took her almost off guard and she tensed up a little bit. However with how shy and reserved she seemed he wasn't surprised at her actions.
Slade replied back as she finished. "Depends.. hmm I could live with that." he spoke with a smile and nodded off towards the apple trees to the east. "Care to join me for a snack?" with that he walked off towards the trees his stomach starting to rumble within his bodice. It would be her choice to follow him or not, though deep down he hoped she would. The stag hoped he would be able to get her to open up a bit more, feel comfortable around him and relax a bit. Life was good.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- So many questions, so little time. -------------------
Hael watched the brute carefully. He seemed so at ease, so comfortable with himself. She wished she was like that. This brute confused her in a way that she thought not possible. He wasn't pushy, not demanding for answers like most. He had the kind of easiness that could be transferred to every other around him. She was struck by his benevolent attitude, the way he carried himself. Deep down, she thinks she could possibly trust him, but then again, she barely knows anything about him.
Hael's jaw practically dropped at the brute who very skillfully pushed past the topic that once had her locked-up so tight.
"..I could live with that..?"
The mare was awestruck by this statement. She didn't know what to say back, or if she should say anything back. Just when she thought he couldn't befuddle her anymore, sure thing. By this point Hael couldn't keep track of the disarranged thoughts she had swirling around her head.
"How does he do that?"
The question keeps pushing to the front of all the other racing thoughts. She knew that by him asking her to join him for a snack, it was a test. A test of trust it seemed. So much she wanted to follow him; she heard her stomach growl for attention.
"Hael, you're overthinking again.."
A snort escaped as she tossed her head. Maybe she was just overthinking. In a swift movement, she forces a smile and starts to warily follow the brute. Every inch of her mind is telling her no, but her body is telling her yes.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade could see Hael's hesitation before she decided to push forward and join him for the apples. He could tell she didn't quite trust him but understood the fact as well, that they had just met. Although he had been nothing but kind so far, he knew how hard it was to trust a stag. In his lifetime he had witnessed a few relationships, and being in two himself, he didn't quite know how he could even begin to trust mares at this point! Though, in being a lead stallion he wanted to give most horses the benefit of the doubt, but still in the back of his head was very cautious of everyone. Trust was something to be earned and he did not give his trust out easily. With those thoughts in his head, he pushed them aside. It wasn't a matter of him trusting Hael, but her attitude showed every aspect of HER not trusting HIM.
He stood at the apple trees and waited to take a bite before she got closer. He smiled and nodded at her as she approached and then reached his long neck to the top of the tree to grab a delicious looking apple. Being 16.2h of course helped too. With a swift motion he dipped his head down and placed the apple at Hael's hooves. "For you." he insisted. "The best ones always seem to be the highest in the tree." he finished with a smile, his voice low and calm, almost relaxing. Slade then reached up towards the top of the tree to grab himself an apple. As he brought his head down he munched on it happily, enjoying the sweet savory taste. Though it still didn't satisfy the hunger in his stomach so he reached for another, not noticing weather Hael had began to eat hers or not yet. After the second apple he was a bit more content, but still wanted one last one. To make it easier he just nipped at one lower on the tree and quickly chewed and swallowed. Now, he was happy.
Finally he turned toward Hael and smiled. "So, I'll tell you a bit about myself if you tell me about you?" His listening devices flickered atop his head as a warm and welcoming look overcame his face. He was strictly just trying to make some conversation, as he didn't want to have to go back to talking to Rinne. "So, obviously, my names Slade. So lets move on from there. I just started this herd, as you probably could already tell. Rinne over there seems to keep to himself a lot. Hmm. I'm single, obviously." He paused and laughed quickly almost under his breath. "Sorry, that probably sounded really bad. Moving on, I'm 7 years old and I do not have any foals. I enjoy talking, for the most part, and would defend my herd even if it cost me my life. I love a good laugh and having fun. I also am pretty easy to get along with as long as you don't stab me in the back." He was finished, for now. There was a awkward pause before he smiled and looked deep into Haels eyes. They were pretty, his mind thought, as he spoke his last words. "Your turn."

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael sighed as she followed the almost stranger. She stopped abruptly beside him, glancing at him quickly then eyeing the delicious apple tree. She hadn't noticed how hungry she was. She watched him pick one from the high branches and set it by her. Her knees grew weak and almost gave out at his gentleman gesture. Her lips curled into a smile, and this time, she held nothing back. For once, she felt happiness. She felt the blood rush to her belly in a sort-of girly hormones "Oh my I want him" way. She quickly turned away, muttering a small thanks whilst trying to hid her embarrassment.
Oh how wonderful the apples tasted. Hael didn't even remember the last time she actually ate a full one, or nibbled on grass for more than a minute. It felt good, and it reminded her of her home where she grew up. Completely lost in her mind, her thoughts got interrupted by Slade's deep voice. She turned towards him in surprise. She didn't think he would be so straight-forwardly open right away. Laughing at herself, she remembered how anxious she had been and how she really didn't trust him. Smiling, she listened intently, knowing that he was making an effort to get her to relax. This was a first.
Hael laughed at the single reference Slade had made, but confusion swept over her face in response. How in the Hell could he be single? And what happened in his past? She realized that he was only telling her about the present.
"For another day."
She thought in her head and made an invisible date in the calendar in her head. Her thoughts were interrupted again by the ending of his speech and suggesting Hael to start hers. She glanced at him anxiously. She's never been very good at openly talking about herself.
"My name is Hael, obviously."
She starts off with a sarcastic remark upon the words he used and was pleasantly pleased with herself.
"I'm 3 years old. Single. I don't have any foals, but I would like one..."
She paused, trailing her sentence off and trying to think of interesting facts about herself, but she just didn't see herself as interesting. Sighing, she attempted to continue.
"I am a loner, and yes, I'm looking for a herd. I am opposite of Rinne over there I guess. I don't like being alone when there are others to enjoy the company with. I haven't been alone very long. I was with my mother, but I don't know where she went..."
She ended there, looking down with a slight pained expression on her face. She didn't want to say anymore. Actually, just the thought of it made her depressed.. Trying to push back the thoughts in herd, she looked back up at Slade and forced a smile. She started to talk again, trying to change her sense of mind.
"So what are your dreams for this herd, and for yourself?"

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade had a bright smile on his face as he heard Hael reply. She seemed a bit more open and relaxed now. After noticing her eat the apple he felt relieved that she took something from him that he had tried to politely give her. Her voice was almost soothing to his ears, it had been awhile since he had last heard a mare talk. When he broke up with his ex lover, it was more screaming and yelling then anything. So this friendly, simple conversation was something he cherished. As he listened to her he took small notes in his head. The first being /she is pretty young, almost makes me feel old/ the second being, /ahh she wants to have foals, that is something we do have in common/ and third /she had lost contact with her mother and enjoyed company/. /Perfect/ he thought to himself. There were a ton of talking points there, just what he wanted, a good old fashion conversation.
His weight shifted as he could tell something deep down seemed to bother her a little bit while she spoke. Maybe some feelings from the past, but he didn't mean to dig deeper into her life and make her uncomfortable, so he simply kept the conversation going. "Well, we do have some in common there Hael. I'm glad to know it. I too would like a foal, you know, in the future of course. I've always had a love for them, and would be very happy to have such a gift of my own. I also do love company of others. Being single is something I am still getting used to, but it has its little perks too." he responded. Though, deep down, he really hated being alone without a mate. He felt like a part of him was missing. He was loosing sleep because it was weird without a mare by his side and he was absolutely going crazy not having another equine to care so deeply about. Sure, in being single you could chat it up with any mare without consequences and you could do whatever you pleased, whenever you pleased without having to consult your 'other half', but it still wasn't the same without someone to love.. to fill the void in his chest. Though he pushed through the feelings everyday with hopes that he would find a mare to forever fill that spot in his heart. Now here he was, talking to a cute young mare who just seemed like her life got pushed off track, and she was confused to try and figure out how to get it back on track. Much like his life currently was in a way. Thus, in his mind he figured they could figure out fate together, not as mates or anything that extreme yet anyway, but talking was always a great way to get past anything. Too bad Slade hated really expressing any feeling except love and hate. Talking about how he was feeling deep inside, like how a human would do to a shrink; was absolutely nothing he was interested in. To get anything out of him, you had to ask, or beg.
Slade had drifted out into thought for a moment there as his brain went into overdrive and all emotions ran though his bodice. From feeling loved, to empty, to almost lost and confused, and back to content and happy talking to Hael. He shook his head and continued on with the conversation they were having. "My dreams for this herd, hmm. Well, in my head I see newly born foals playing, chasing butterflys. Mares watching them intently, and their stallion mates watching over them. Above it all, me watching over everyone. I'd like to be the lead of a strong herd, even if we aren't strong in numbers. A herd that will get along, and stick together with each other through anything. I am not mare hungry either, so stallions will be free to choose their own mates, as long as they consult me first." Slade paused, and looked over Hael while answering the final question. "And me, to tell you the truth, i don't know. I take everyday at a time, and I truely feel that whatever is ment to happen will happen over time. If I'm ment to have a family of my own, then I will, if not, then I have my herd." He finished and smiled, sweetly, almost seductively towards Hael.He was taking a small liking to her, but brushed it aside in his mind only because he was probably just feeling this way from not talking to another mare in awhile. Though, he enjoyed it. His lashes batted at his opticals, and his listening devices were attentive as he waited for Hael's reply.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael watched Slade intently now, noticing every little body movement and twitch and such. She had never met a horse like this, being she was born in captivity. His wanting of leadership and taking care of others intrigued her, and for once she was locked into his speech, lost in his eyes. She was surprised at his remark upon being single. For a second she felt a jealousy feeling sweep over her. Looking down, she was again deep in thought.
"Being single is something I am still getting used to...?"
So he's had many mates... Hael couldn't help but feel stupid for herself. What happened? Why isn't he with them now? What ever happened to their relationship? Hael stepped back a few from Slade, now realizing that if she fell for Slade, she could only possibly get hurt. Though what if it wasn't his fault? What if it was the mares' fault?
"But relationships and love are two-way streets.."
She thought to herself with a slight frown. Hael had never even been in a relationship before. She had never even been close to anyone to possibly consider them for a mate. It was so confusing and terribly scary to think of, and she didn't know if she could be with Slade with how many mare's he's been with. She was utterly confused, never experiencing these feelings before. And with that she stepped even further back. She almost about flinched when he stated that he wasn't "mare hungry" and that stallions have to "consult him" in order to choose their mate. She was confused by this statement. Why would they need to ask him? She then realized that she knew nothing about herd life and how to be a good herd member, nevertheless a good mate.
"You wouldn't want me as a herd member."
She blurted out unexpectedly, surprising herself in response. She lowered her head in remorse.
"Sorry.."
She mutters under her breath.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade's face suddenly was overcame with a slightly confused look. He thought they were getting somewhere, in talking to each other, and that maybe he could get Hael to perk up and look a little more happy, though she looked just the opposite. /was it something I said?/ he thought to himself while he noticed her back up from him a step at a time. The brute was lost in his own thoughts as well as hers, unknowingly. A deep feeling of regret filled his bodice as he thought back to what he had said, was it something that bothered her about the herd? Perhaps something he spoke of triggered buried emotions that she had? Something was the problem, and he was bound and determined to find out. He hated seeing any equine in a state of sadness. Not to mention, how she spoke out and exclaimed how he wouldn't want her in the herd. That was completely untrue, how could she believe that? He sighed and took in a deep breath, conjuring his response in his mind before speaking. "Hael." He stated in a very solemn tone. "I could tell something is bothering you, please tell me."Still, something was bothering him even more, probably the fact that she was so sullen looking. Her head was sunk low to the ground and she just seemed so sad and distant. Against everything he had spinning through his mind, how she might take his next move as a threat because she probably had never really experienced the touch of a stallion... well, he did it anyway. Slade took a small step forward, back towards Hael, and tipped out his nose and neck to touch under her jaw. With a swift yet caring movement he lifted her head with the bridge of his nose pressed under her jaw. He wasn't quite sure yet what the gesture would accomplish, but he wanted her to feel wanted, that he did care about her, that he wanted to hear her stories, what was bothering her, and why she was at such a loss of words. Some how, this young mare had an affect on Slade, and he just wanted to care for her. He slipped his head out from under her jaw and looked deep into her eye's. A warm look came over his face as he blinked and a smile started tugging at his velveteen lips. He began to speak once again, his voice comforting and soft. "Please Hael, I want you to feel welcome. I want you to feel like you could talk to me. No matter what you're feeling inside, you can always talk to me. And of course I want you in my herd, why would I not? Unless you're really an envious wanting to annihilate my herd, theres no reason why I wouldn't want you here. In just this short time I have discovered so much about you. I know you are caring, from just the tone in your voice when you spoke about your mother, but couldn't go on. I know you feel lost, and alone, but you're not now. I know you are a pretty young mare and you said yourself that you enjoy company. You Hael, just need a friend. Its up to you if you will let me be your friend." Slade paused for a minute as something else came into his head. Something he had said, bothered her. She hadn't stepped back and away from her until he was talking. What was it?
He then started speaking a final time. "Was there something I said that bothered you? Perhaps about mates or stallions in my herd?" he was truly confused at what did make her feel uncomfortable about him, but wanted to find out, so he could fix it.... maybe explain something futhur to her? With those final words he waited for her response, deep down hoping she would feel comfortable enough to talk to him, ask him whatever her heart desired. ooc;; feel free to have Hael like bite him or beat him up when he went to lift her head lol i kinda feel like I power played her a little bit there sorrys lol made by abby of i'm so curious tagged: Hael words: 624 notes: yay still feeling the rp!

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
ooc;; You didn't powerplay at all. In fact, you helped me out with my post and writer's block hahha. c: So thanks! Butttt, I'm gonna have Hael do a surprise anyways. Hope that's okay.
Hael was deep in sullen thought with her head hung low to the ground. She didn't even glance at Slade when he spoke, asking her to tell him what was bothering her. Without any hesitation or look up she muttered,
"I am certainly not one who spends their every waking moment soaking themselves in signs and signals of the sort, and it's partly, I suppose, because some of those signs and signals aren't worth bothering about. I have to be selective about these kind of things."
Just then she felt an unfamiliar feeling under her jaw. She immediately stiffened, with her once light blue eyes now almost concealed in white, she froze just for a moment. Her whole body started tingling, running through her veins, coursing through her muscles, from her head to her tail. Without any thought, her front right leg struck out in almost excitement, hitting the flesh of Slade's left shoulder and leaving blood in it's trace. Hael froze once again, body shaking, every muscle twitching from the adrenaline, the whites in her eyes showing and her ears straight forward and attentive. A horrified expression soon crept it's way on her beautiful face as she stared directly into Slade's eyes. Her mind; a whirling mess.
"What have you done, you stupid, stupid girl? You've ruined any chance to possibly join him, dipshit. Why can't you just be normal for once in your life? God, you're so pathetic."
Thoughts filled her head as she stood motionless, staring at Slade with wide eyes and body still shaking. Her eyes quickly glanced at trees where she once hid, then back at Slade, and she fled.
Running as hard as she could, Hael ran with tears down her face and slobber everywhere. She couldn't control herself anymore. She was a piping hot mess, even more than she already was. She thought about where she would run as low tree branches tore through her creamy white legs, now covered in blood, but she didn't care. She had messed up, bad. And she really couldn't go anywhere, seeing as she had no idea where her mother was. She ran until her body was even whiter, covered in sweat. With legs as red as the sun in the dusk, with tear stains running down her face and neck, until she saw a familiar place. She stopped in an instant, breathing heavily and shaking still.
"Don't. You know you don't like that place. You know you won't get out. You'll be miserable. You'll become your mother."
She pushed the that thought right out the window. She would never be her mother. No matter the circumstances. And yet, here she was, eyes full of wonder, body shaking, head full of racing thoughts. A brief memory of Slade flashed through her mind and a slight smirk appeared from his memory. But it was gone in an instant.
"He certainly wouldn't come after you now, seeing that you struck him for no reason."
And for once Hael thought that the little Devil in her mind was right. There was no way he would come after her, and there was no way he would forgive her. She sighed and walked forward, hearing the familiar voices and gasps of those she grew up with. The place she was born until she and her mother escaped.
The small breeding farm where she was held in captivity.
----------------
She was quickly put into a stall, still marked her mother's name and had 3 humans around her, gasping at her and frowning in astonishment. Soon, cold stinging liquids were poured on her legs, and for once, she didn't flinch at the pain. She was in too much pain to experience anymore. At this point, she just wanted to be what she thought she was "bred" to be. She wanted to spend every day doing the same thing, eating the same things, experiencing the same things, all the while popping out babies like none other.
"At least you'll have the foals that you said you wanted."
She thought to herself as she stood, her legs now covered in neon pink wraps with gauze and tape. She quietly ate the hay provided for her and once full, laid down, breathing a sigh of sullen relief as she accepted that this will be her life from now on.
"Come on Hael. You're just not meant for the wild. You can't even take care of your own goddamn self for Christ's sake. At least you won't have to do anything here. You'll be taken care of, 24/7."
The thoughts in her head were trying to reassure her, but they weren't helping at all. Knowing that she won't ever feel that feeling of being free again, eating from the apple trees, seeing and talking to Slade...
"No. This is where I'm meant to be."
