I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. /Owwwwch/ The stags mind blurted as Hael's leg came down on his shoulder. Not that it really 'hurt' him, but the shock of it all took him off guard. Tons of feelings were rushing through his body and mind, Why would she do that? Did she not like talking to him that much? What had he done wrong? Was she really envious inside?. His brain stopped there, as he stood frozen in his tracks while Hael seemed to look horrified before she took off running away from him. Quickly, his mind started answering its own questions. /She probably did that because you touched her, you idiot. She does seem like one of very few words too, so she probably doesn't want to talk to you 'oh so handsome I have everything' stallion... No, deffinately not envious inside, did you see her face, you moron, her reaction and feelings? She was completely confused herself, you could tell she didn't mean it. She probably only ran because she thought she was going to be killed, YOUR HUGE remember!?/ Slade quickly pushed all of his thoughts aside, except one. /Shes getting away you moron! Go after her!/ Quickly, his stones pressed deep into the earthern floor. This was a stupid decision, leaving his herd terra unguarded to chase after some mare that didn't even seem to like him. She confused him oh so much, messed with his head and emotions because he never could tell what she was thinking, wanting or feeling. However, in a way that intrigued him. Her mysterious ways made him want to know more about her. Before he got too far away he quickly gave a whinny out to Rinne, hoping he could stand guard of the terra while it was gone. It was a huge longshot, but the only option he had.
His tassles streamed behind him in the wind as his hooves slammed into the ground, he wasn't a very graceful runner because he hated it, dreaded it, oh so much. Though, he was fast. Slades nares were wide open, sucking in the wind not only to fuel his lungs as he made headway, but to keep the scent of Hael within them, so he knew he was still headed the right way. However, it wasn't hard as it looked like she took a direct path right though the woods no matter what was in her way, it almost looked like a bulldozer had trudged though and cleared an open path behind it. The brute didn't know much of what to think, do or say, but decided he would figure it out when he found her again. Suddenly, a thought struck his mind. /Slade, she probably thinks your coming to kill her./ With that thought, his running slowed down. Maybe it wasn't a matter of catching her, but a matter of slowly approaching her. Until now he hadn't really put two and two together, but now the thought had arose in his mind. He knew it was probably an accident, the result of his touch to a mare who had probably never felt such a touch before. Though, to Hael, she probably thought he would be super mad, and thats why she fled. However, he wasn't mad. Slade just wanted to see her again, talk to her, explain that everything was ok, and try to finally convince her to stay with him and Rinne in the herd.
Slade's pace was now at a brisk trot as something new reached his nose, a new scent that was. He hadn't ever before smelled it, but could still smell a hint of Hael in the air, so she was here somewhere, or had at least passed though. It was starting to get dark outside and he could see little moons all over the place. Why so many moons? It was something he never experienced, so he drew closer coming out from the trees and into a small clearing. Suddenly, he froze, his jaw dropped. He had heard stories about places like these in his travels, many horses referred to it as a jail, and that you should never get caught by the two leggeds they called humans. This, was one of those jails. However, Haels scent was growing stronger and Slade feared the worse.
/They got her./ he thought to himself before he realised he was standing in an open clearing right next to the jail, and decided to back up into the woods again to hide while he came up with a plan. There were supposedly jail cells in the things with the covers over them, and the fences were what the two leggeds used to keep horses in. Slade wanted no part in a captive life, so he would have to be super cautious of how he proceeded. Another thought jumped into his head as he tried to plan a mastermind way to get Hael out. /Is she really worth it, Slade. Is she really worth saving from this place? Shes been nothing but a weird bottle of emotions since you met her, what do you see in her? Why bother?/ His thoughts were all very good points, what was she to him and why had he even come so far to get her back? It was a question he almost couldn't answer himself, but for some reason, his feelings tugged at his heart-strings, and he knew he just had to help her be free again.
So there, in the woods right outside the jail, he waited. One by one the moons started to go out, and suddenly another moon turned on near a shelter, three two leggeds came out and walked to the shelter that he thought Hael was in, where her scent seemed to be coming from anyway. He watched them quietly, not making a move at least the trees still had some leaves on them for cover in this type of situation, and at least his pelt consisted of black. Though the white across his hide probably wouldn't help, he was hopeful that if he just held still until they left, that he would be fine.
Soon enough, the humans left the shelter that Hael was in and headed back for the one they came from, moments later the moon was turned off and Slade knew this would probably be his perfect shot. As quickly and quietly as he could the stag stepped out from the woods and made his way towards Hael, her scent growing strong he knew she was in that shelter. As he stepped inside, his hooves made an unusual sound on the floor, they were loud, almost like stepping on a large rock within the ground. His pace grew slower as he tried to keep quiet and as he walked down the middle of the barn, he whispered "Hael." "Hael, where are you?" his vocals sweet, probably a surprise to her, if she did hear him. Then, he found her. His head turned slightly as he peaked into a jail cell, he could see her laying on the floor with something all over her legs. Slade was rather confused, but knew he had to get her out. "Its ok." he muttered quietly. "I'll get you out Hael, I won't let them lock you up here forever." as he spoke he looked over the cell, something was keeping it closed and he noticed a metal pin in the door. Quickly he used his nose to wiggle the pin while he applied pressure on the door with his hurt shoulder so he could wiggle it free. With a 'ting' sound the pin came free from the door and Slade stepped back. He had so much to explain, to tell her, but knew they had little time, if any before the humans discovered them. "Hael, its your choice if you want to come with me. I don't care what you're going though, or how your feeling. I'm fine, I know you didn't mean to hurt me and I know you don't belong here in this jail. It is your choice now, but I truly hope you decide to come back with me. You've made my life interesting and fun these last couple of days, even if you haven't known it. Please, consider it. I'll be waiting in the woods if you choose to join me again." his voice was soft and almost nurturing and as he finished a welcoming smile came across his maw before he turned and cautiously walked out of the shelter. He then picked up a faster walk and moved a bit deeper into the woods, but where he could still see the outline of the place that held Hael. Now, it was up to her. Slade let out a small sigh and stood there, just waiting.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
As Hael laid on the sawdust covered floor, thoughts once again raced through her head. A small tear ran down her face as she snorted, trying to push everything away. At this point, she just wanted to forget everything, especially her past. Slowly, her pinkish eyelids closed and her breathing deepened, and soon, she was in a deep, quiet sleep.
---'She awoke from her slumber with Slade at her door, talking quietly to her. By this point she knew it was a dream, and she also knew that she definitely did not want to wake up. She could see Slade in her head, with his gentle words and attractive bodice and pelt. And she felt happy, yet sullen at the same time. The fact that Slade was here, even in her dreams, made her ecstatic, but created a depression within her mind that reminded her that it was just a dream. As he spoke, a smirk revealed from her pink lips, her eyes still closed and her mind lost in thought.
"I know you didn't mean to hurt me and I know you don't belong here in this jail..."
Hael was confused at this statement in her dream. She didn't really consider this place a jail, because she was born here. It was more of an escape for her, a place to run away when she couldn't handle things anymore. But why would all of this be in her dream? It seemed like such a long speech to be put inside her head, and as he finished and left, her eyelids jolted open.'---
"It wasn't a dream?"
She said aloud to herself, her face covered in a puzzled expression. She looked around warily, not seeing Slade and growing distant from the world again. She stumbled to her feet, flinching as she finally realized the pain that she put onto her legs. Looking down, she realized that her blood bled through the bandages, and that her legs were shaking with weakness. She grew dizzy from how long she was on her side, and felt her stomach gurgle from the pressure on her intestines. Groaning, she stretched and evaluated her stall, everything looking normal until she glanced at the door. Pausing and freezing in place, she stared at the slightly cracked door with wonder. She felt so confused and strange. She had thought that it was all just a dream, just another one of her crazy thoughts. Could this actually be real? Should she follow him? Would he actually be there, in the woods? It was more surprising and confusing that he actually followed her.
"Why would he do that? I am certainly nothing special."
Her icy eyes narrowed, wondering what to do in this situation. Should she stay in this place and live her life out as a broodmare, or go join Slade in the dangerous, yet free environment? She's never had to make a decision like this, or really make any decisions of her own anyways. Her mother always did it for her.
"If you only let him touch you.."
The little Devil in her head appeared once again, giving her thoughts another turn of the worst. She hated that little Devil, always turning up and talking at the worst times. She shook her head, as if she could shake the thoughts out.
With shaking, still bloody legs, Hael pushed the stall door open with her nose, looking warily side to side as she stepped out. The horses around her awakened, snorting at her and quietly nickering at her in alarm. But if Slade really was there in the woods, she had to find out. She stepped quietly, her small hooves clicking on the ground until she reached the open door and back onto the hard earth. It was still dark out as she left, and she knew that she had to leave quickly and quietly, considering her almost pure white pelt is so visible in the night. She stumbled over to the side of the farm, icy eyes staring straight ahead, searching the trees. She didn't have very good eyesight in the dark, and started getting frustrated as she walked up and down the trees, arguing with herself that maybe it was a dream and she was just seeing things. Freezing in her tracks, a sullen look came over her face as her weakened legs continued to shake.
"You were just seeing things.."
She said aloud as her legs gave out and she fell helplessly to the ground. Dawn was about to come, with the sun slowly arising and leaving orange and red spots on the ground and barns. She sighed, laying her head down on the cold earth and giving up once more. She knew that if she just stayed here, the humans would find her and take her back. But for now, she laid.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. For awhile, the stag stood there. It seemed like forever as Slade began to dose off and on in a very light slumber. His hind leg was cocked ever so slightly as he relaxed and got a few minutes of sleep now and then while waking him self every so often to check for Hael. He decided he would wait until dawn and if she still wasn't there, that he would leave and just forget about her. If she didn't come for him, then maybe she just didn't want to be in the wild, maybe she didn't want to be with him in his herd. Little did Slade know, that this jail was the place Hael grew up, to him it was just a prison for horses with walls and fences like such. A small sigh was released from his white lips as he waited, secretly hoping Hael would show up. Herd life was still so boring and new, and with one stallion so far it was just rather dull. Plus, in his mind again, no horse belonged caged up.
The moons started to fade as the sun began to slowly peak from the lands. It was still rather dark however, and that's when he heard it. His listening devices swirled amongst his head as he tried to figure out the direction of the noise. It was feint, but sounded like hooves stepping on freshly fallen leaves and small twigs. Slade's mood perked up as he stepped forward some, towards the direction of where he found Hael. He paused to listen again and heard a small thud. With a quick nicker he trotted off towards where he last saw her, and right before emerging from the trees he caught a glimpse of her white pelt and bodice on the ground. Slade's mind was driven into over drive, the pink things he had saw on her legs were now a oozy red, the smell of the substance was nothing unfamilar to him, it was blood. Quickly he got worried, did the two legged's do this to her? Slade rushed to her side and without thinking, nuzzled at her neck but she was unresponsive. His brain went over everything that he could possibly think. /Slade, how could you run a herd, when a young filly who isn't even in your herd gets injured like this... right after YOU touched her./ However, Slade quickly forced the negativity out of his mind, 90% of the time he always saw the positive in a situation, you know, the glass half full side. Soon happy thoughts replaced the bad as he just stood above her, unknowing of what to do yet. /Good thing, you found her. Second, she came to find you.../ As his brain thought he looked up at the sky. It was really starting to get lighter out now. They were JUST inside the woods right outside the clearing for the jail. Surely, when the two leggeds came back out, they would be found and locked back up. However, just the sight of the blood soak on Hael's legs made Slade know that she would be unfit for travel until she rested a bit. He had no choice, it was either leave her to be found, or stay with her and hopefully skim by on the odds that the humans wouldn't notice them. For now, it was a chance he was willing to take. Hael had apparently tried to find him but couldn't make it on her own legs, and because of that he wanted to help her. Besides still feeling guilty for touching her jaw and making her run off in the first place. Though, to show the humans that he was not of threat to her he would have to do something that he hoped didn't make Hael even more uncomfortable. He knew if he stood above her and waited, and the humans discovered them that they might think a wild stallion standing over his new victim. BUT if he were laying beside her, they may see a sweet wild stallion who liked Hael. At least, that was his hope. You think he would learn after what happened the first time of his touch, but it was a gamble he had to take. Maybe the humans would understand and just let them go, to live out their lives unharmed.
Slade then dropped to his knees and finally, his large black and white bodice hit the ground beside Hael. The stags chest was touching Hael's withers as he could feel the warmth of her bodice against his pelt. His head was near hers as he whispered into her ears, hoping she would take in the information while she slept. "Hael, its me again, Slade. I'm here for you, to watch you and protect you. Its getting to be day and I have chosen to lay beside you while you rest. I will guard you from the two leggeds as best as I can. Rest easy, young Hael." With those words, Slade froze. His head was lifted as he gazed towards the prison with a deep hope that no one would find them before she awoke and they could move deeper into the woods. Though, if they did, he would fight with everything he had to keep them both safe and free.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael's mind was a whirling mess of right and wrong. She felt weak, so weak that she could barely stand, or even lift her head. In her sleep, she dreamt of Slade, of her mother, and played through in her mind everything that had happened since she met him. It was crazy, how many emotions and feelings pulled through and wrapped around her brain in just a couple days; Feelings she had never experienced before. The gentle touch of another horse, especially a stallion. Her mother barely even touched her. It was so different, a different world a matter of fact. She still didn't know how to respond to it, and that intimated her immensely.
Though her slightly sunburn eyelids were closed, her hearing devices picked up every sound happening around her. She felt the warmth of the sun starting to cascade around her whole body, meaning the sun was coming up and light was filling the area. Soon, she felt an unfamiliar feeling at her withers. Her muscles flinched at the quick warmth, her body used to the temperature of the cold, hard ground. The warmth was refreshing, sending chills throughout her whole body in an attempt to bring her body temperature back up to normal. Her hearing devices picked up his voice, so gentle and caring, and for a moment, she felt safe beside him. His touch and warmth was invigorating.
"Slade?"
A croaked, dry whisper escaped from her vocal chords, still questioning if he was real or not.
"Is this a dream?"
She asks innocently, struggling to lift her head up and open her eyelids to look at him. She struggles to move her legs and get up, but is just too weak to put any pressure on them.
"Why are you here? Why can't I move?..."
Just then, her hearing devices pick up some sounds in the distant. Horses being let out into the pasture, and unfamiliar walking sounds around the barns. She knew what it was right away; the humans. Her body flinched in terror. She knew Slade wasn't safe here, and if they found them, that they would attempt to capture him too.
"Go Slade, leave me be. I'm not worth this anyways."
She croaked, with a sense of urgency in her voice. It was true that she cared for Slade, and the fact that he was here with her excited her to extremes, but she couldn't take any chances of him getting captured. As far as she knew, he didn't know what life in captivity was like, and there was no way that he would go with the humans quietly.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade enjoyed laying next to Hael, it was something he missed most about having a mate and probably the reason why he was having such a hard time sleeping lately.. He felt so relaxed next to Hael that it was hard to stay up, but he did so anyhow, for both of their sakes. Soon enough, he could tell Hael was starting to wake up as she moved around. His ears picked up the sound of her voice, yet it wasn't normal, it was more scratchy and dry then usual. /Slade?/ rang through his ears but before he could respond, she spoke again. /Is this a dream?/ "No, its not a dream Hael. Its really me." He quickly answered back, his attention still directed towards the jail, listening intently incase any humans started to show up, or worse, look for Hael. Shortly, more of her voice was carried into his ears, /Why are you here, why can't I move?/ With those words, the stag struggled for his own. If she really couldn't get up, this was going to be a serious problem for the both of them. He held in his emotions though, not wanting to make Hael any more distressed and answered her confidently back. "Its ok, your legs seem pretty injured, I'm not sure how, but the humans put something on them.." Being from the wild, Slade was completely at a loss when it came to captive life things such as the bloody rags on her legs he just didn't understand. Were they there to hurt her more? the stag thought to himself. However, he quickly removed all thoughts from his cranium and focused on what really mattered--- how the heck they were going to get out of there. Just then, his fears became reality, he could hear the 2 leggeds moving about the shelters where the horses were kept. This was a bad time to be so close to them, even if they were partly hidden by a few trees. Though he was stupid when it came to this, he didn't know what was best for the young mare. Weather to stay with her and fight to keep her in the wild, or let them take her in hopes they would help her. He had to make the decision, within minutes. So many thoughts flooded through his head as Hael spoke a final time, her voice sounding urgent. /Go Slade, leave me be, im not worth this anyways./ That, was Slades final straw. Now he was determined to help Hael, and he wasn't going to leave her side. He spoke softly in her ear "I'm not leaving you here, who knows what they will do to you. Please, don't mind me, I'm going to lay my head on your shoulder."
Slade's newest intentions were to look like he was laying over her, guarding her almost like he loved her. Instead of standing over her which would look a bit more threatening in a humans eyes, or so he thought. If the humans came for them, then so be it. As much as he didn't like the thought of them, maybe they really were trying to help Hael, maybe the things on her legs were to help her? If so, he had to trust that, he had to let her get help even if it ment them catching him too. For now, he would go with them without problem. Though he couldn't promise he wouldn't be completely confused, he would try for the sake of Hael. At least until she got stronger and then they could leave together. On the plus side, he was just plainly hoping that the humans never found them, and that they could lay here until Hael had enough strength to move. He wanted so badly to go find some water to bring back to her, but with the humans up now there was no chance for him. Still in the back of his mind he didn't know what made him do all this crazy stuff for a filly he had just met, but whatever the reason, he felt like it was his duty to keep her safe...

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
"It's ok, your legs seem pretty injured..."
His voice ran through her ears with quiet grace. For a second she had almost forgotten how she had achieved the wounds on her legs, but then snorted in disgust at herself.
"I'm so stupid."
She states in a deep, sullen voice. She vaguely remembers what was put on her legs because of the state of mind she was in, but she remembers sharp little stings in her legs and a numbing sensation, almost like bee stings. Switching back to reality, she slowly opened her eyelids, revealing her icy blue eyes, glistening within the sunlight. She cleared her dry throat, releasing the hoarse 'frog' stuck within.
"I still don't understand why you're here with me. I.....I hurt you..."
Shakiness appeared in her voice as she spoke to him, still confused as ever. Yet she couldn't escape the fact that she was happy he was here with her, still. Looking around with slightly blurry vision and getting blinded from the bright sun for a second, she notices that the farm was starting to come alive. In the distance, she notices humans running around the farm, probably finally noticing that she had escaped. By this time Slade's head was on her shoulder, and his touch made her relax instantly. For once, she didn't flinch at his touch, but rather, accepted it willingly.
By this time the humans had searched the barn with no results, and were moving out into the pastures, and the edge of the trees which Hael and Slade were lying. Panic rose in Hael's eyes as two humans came running closer, their breathing fast and quick.
"Slade, go! You have a herd to tend to."
Hael almost screams at him, the white's of her eyes showing as she laid motionless, her legs still tingling and shaking. Soon she saw the familiar sight of the humans, screaming across the farm to get the attention of the others. In their hands were ropes and halters, and they swiftly threw one over Hael's head.
The humans whipped the ground at Hael's feet, her body still on the ground, trying to get her stand. Shakily, she rose to her feet, conscious of Slade still behind her, and grunting in discomfort. Her legs tingled and bled more, the feathers on her legs now brown with dried blood.
"You stupid, stupid girl.
She thinks to herself as she takes a painful glance over at Slade.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade kept quiet and just relaxed with Hael, but deep in his mind he was quite concerned for the outcome of the situation they were both in... Soon her sweet voice rung through his ears. /I am so stupid./ Quickly without hesitation, Slade replied back. "You are not stupid, Hael." and moments later, he heard her speak again. /I still don't understand why you are here, I hurt you." A small smile glided across the stags maw as his brain thought of all the best possible answers. Yes, she had hurt him, but it was unintentionally and he knew it. "Shh. Its ok Hael, you didn't mean to, I know that much. I am sorry that I made you uncomfortable. This is my fault, not yours." The older brutes head now lay on Haels should as he got comfortable, soon would be the outcome of what was to happen. The humans were starting to russle and he knew their time was running short. This did not look good for Hael and him... Suddenly, the humans started heading for Hael and Slade. They quickly threw some ropes over Hael and dragged her up on to her feet and away from him. Slade was already on his hooves, snorting as they took away Hael. He could see her look back at him with worried eyes as he quickly returned a reassuring whinny. "We will be ok Hael, just get better." Though truly, deep down he was starting to doubt his master plan. Should he have made Hael get up and move deeper in the woods? What if the humans had even found them then? So much was swirling through his brains as a guy atop a horse came rushing in towards Slade. Two people were on the ground in front of him as his nares flared and he snorted a warning. However, quickly he was surrounded and the human atop the horse swung something around his colorless neck and it pulled tight around his throat. Just the pressure on his neck made him want to give up and suddenly, he realized he had to. He had to give into these monsters. They just drug Hael away from him, capturing her once again and he didn't come this far to leave without her. Slade then let out a horrible, eerie whinny, almost like a tortured soul would. He reared up on his hind legs and striked his charcoal hooves into the air before falling back down upon the earth, feeling the thing around his neck tighten even more.. He was done, this battle was over, he was now captured too. The stag took a deep breath and almost sighed as he dropped his head and closed his eyes for a mere second. Quickly one of the humans in front of him put something around his head that applied pressure to his poll. Already, he felt so trapped. His eyelids hung low as he was pulled by the humans towards the dark prison. His wild spirit wasn't broken, oh no. He knew he had to do this for Hael, but already the captive life was pulling at his heart strings. Hael was really the only herd he had, even if she hadn't yet accepted his invitation, he hoped at least she soon would, after all he was going though anyway. The two leggeds drug him into the thing they were calling a barn. Apparently they were putting him in the stud stall since it was the most secure and they thought it would be the best option for him. His hooves clicked as he walked across the cement floor and the human walked into the dark jail with hay scattered about it, pulling Slade behind him. He quickly unlatched Slade and ran out of the stall, slamming the door behind him, startling Slade only causing him to flinch and jump up. Soon he could hear humans screaming outside of his stall 'woah boy woahhh!!'. Slade then rose his head up and took in a deep breath, scanning the area for any trace of Hael. He hoped the 2 leggeds at least put her close to him. It would be so stressful to go through this alone and it of course would make it much better if he could at least talk to her, make sure she was ok.
The humans walked down the middle of the barn muttering. "He must like that little filly, and he isn't a bad looking stallion himself. Maybe they would make a nice breeding pair once we get the wild out of him." The other human nodded and agreed before speaking "some really nice babies could come from them for sure, with his height and muscle and her drafty build! We may have hit the jackpot, Fred." Unknowingly, Slade was being volunteered to be Hael's future mate. If only he knew it.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
'This is my fault, not yours.'
Hael shook her head at Slade's comment. In no way did she feel that this was Slade's fault at all. An overwhelming sensation ran through her body as the humans led her back into her stall, double checking the locks to make sure that she couldn't get out on her own. She felt so naïve, so young and reckless. This was all her fault. First she struck Slade stupidly, then ran, causing him to trail her all the way here and get him caught in this "jail", or so he called it, and for once in her life, she actually considered this place to be a jail. She had always thought that she would always be taken care of here, like a queen; always having food, water, surrounded by others and humans that kept her safe, kept her alive. Experiencing the wild for the first time changed her thinking overall. Being out there by herself was frightening; she could die at any second, any natural disaster, any horse trying to attack, especially Envious. But the feeling of freedom, meeting Slade and being happy to talk to him, meeting another horse who would essentially sacrifice their life for hers. She couldn't imagine any other feeling that would be greater than that.
Hael stood, motionless in the dark stall as the humans cut the bloody bandages off of her legs and applied more stinging liquids, wrapping them up once more. She breathed a sigh of relief as the dried blood washed off her legs, revealing her creamy feathers once again. After they were done, she pressed herself against the door, trying to see Slade, if he was here, that is, and calling out his name. She was furious, not only at herself, but at the humans and the horses that were here.
"What kind of life is this? Why would they want to stay?"
She asked herself, snorting while pacing around her stall, still shaking. She hated not being able to lay by Slade again, not being able to see him gracefully reach for the highest apple just to give it to her. She realized now that maybe this was a jail, and others hadn't realized it because they never got to experience freedom. She also realized that not only she, but Slade too, were now prisoners of this jail, and she had no idea how they were going to get out now.
"Slade! Are you here?"
She called out once more, hoping he could hear her.

Laying motionlessly in his cold stall, Tilney didnt even notice the two wild equines dragged into the stables. He was so weak from being deprived of water that it had reduced him to this bronze wreck in the corner of the stall. His spine was slumped against the wall; the only thing holding him up. his head was wedged in the corner, and his legs stretched out underneath him. He was Asleep, but getting close to unconsciousness. It was only when he could hear the frightening noise that the humans made that he began waking up.
Next he heard them cutting something and his eyes flicked open. Hearing another stamp of hooves, he dragged his own underneath him and bolted up into a shaky stance. This was the first time he'd been on his feet for a day or more. His legs were shaking and trembling underneath him as he tried to fix his eyes open, staring over at the pale, creamy horse in the stall next to him. But then his hear the same movement of hooves, and it didnt come from that equine. He looked to his side and saw a tall painted male. He wondered where they'd come from.
He sent the tiniest nicker to the horse beside him, hardly a whisper, though it earnt a "Shut up!" From the humans so he quickly flicked his head away. He looked in the water through and still, it was empty, but right now he was more interested in these newcomers. His legs were getting almost too shaky to hold him, so he glanced to the patched male across the isle and then to the mare and snorted. He really wondered if nwo that he had help, perhaps they could escape?
He lay back down in the corner of the stall, his once strong legs stretched out infront of him. His bronze form nearly blended in with the wood in the stables. The distinct marking of tree ran form his hoof, up his leg and over his neck and barrel had a slight shimmer to it, even though he was so unwell. Now he was waiting for darkness when the humans would leave, to do whatever humans do at night. He needed to speak to these strangers. he needed to escape, and he knew they would too.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade had calmed down a but once the humans left. He was still completely confused and unfamilar with his new surroundings. However, he knew he had to calm down and focus on the situation at hand. First, finding Hael and second, getting out of this place. As he started to look about he could tell there was a horse in the stall next to him. The boards between the stalls kept the other horse covered for the most part, except the cracks between the wood of course. Slade stuck his eye up to look through a crack and what he saw was quite disturbing. The stag in the stall next to him looked so depressed, so lonely, his soul almost broken. The humans must have done this. Slade worried that maybe he too was captured by the two leggeds. He had heard them scream at the stag and now he just seemed so lost. With a small uplifting nicker Slade touched his nose against the wall, making a small bang sound hoping to catch the stags attention. The scent of the male was overwhelming his own senses and he wasn't able to catch Hael's scent yet. His next option would be to move to the front of the stall and try to see her. Though, he wanted to make contact with the stag as well. "Hey. You look rather aweful, to say the least." Slade spoke softly to the stag. "Were you once free as well? Did they get you too?" He finished. So many thoughts were developing in his brain. If this stag was wild, and had any interest of breaking out of this place, then it would surely help to have all three of them working together. Quickly, Hael then appeared in his mind. He had to find her, just to know that she was ok.
The stag stepped away from the wall and moved towards the front of the stall. The wood was higher up then the rest of the stalls, maybe thats why they called it a 'stud stall' it was studier built. Go figure, he would probably have the hardest time breaking out. He pushed that thought to the back of his mind and stepped so close to the front of his stall that his chest pushed on the wood and his nose stuck through the bars. "Hael' He called out, with little hope in his brain. Yet suddenly almost as he spoke he heard her sweet voice calling for him too. "Hael I'm here." He replied and adjusted his gaze to where he though the noise was coming from. The stall across from the stag next to him. On the other side of the jail. Sure enough, his opticals caught a glimpse of white and he was able to make out her figure. She was standing at least, so that ment something. Slade knew previously that her legs were so weak she couldn't even use them.
"Hael. We will be alright. Theres a stag here next to me, I'm going to see if he has any help to offer. You rest, please. You are going to need all your stregnth soon. Have they hurt you?" Slade asked, you could tell in his voice he was deeply concerned. His brain began to think, they had to find a way out of there. Sooner rather then later, the stag beside him looked in pretty rough condition...

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael breathed a sigh of relief at the sound of Slade's voice; so comforting and gentle. A slight smile appeared on her pink lips as she struggle to see him over her stall door. His words were like music, swirling around in her brain, which was full of racing thoughts. She was confused at the other strange horse here. He looked wild, like Slade, but she wondered where he had come from and how he got here. She pitied for him. As much as she could see, he didn't look well.
She snorted at what Slade said, getting help from the other stag. As far as she knew, she couldn't trust him. He was a stranger, and who knew what color his flesh bled. He could be evil, he could hurt her and Slade. A nervous nicker escaped from her throat, and she quickly quieted down. She didn't want to trust him, but it could turn out that she had to. She took a glance at Slade's stall, and the boards that ran up and down the walls. It would be hard to escape, that would be sure.
"I'm okay, Slade. They fixed my legs again."
Her legs were better. The drugs they gave Hael numbed the pain away, and her legs had stopped bleeding now. New skin already started forming around her wounds. As she glanced down once more, she heard the familiar steps of humans, coming towards her stall. They were carrying many different things in their arms, and they were foreign objects to Hael. She snorted nervously, her hooves lightly touching the ground in anticipation. They were laughing as they entered her stall, tying to her head to one of the hooks in the stalls. They started wrapping her tail with some stretchy rubbery roll, red in color, and forcefully lifted up her back legs, putting hard rubber boots on her hooves, covering her feathers. She soon felt a pull on her face, and giving in, she followed the humans to a small arena with metal gates surrounding. Utterly confused, she followed the humans onto the soft ground in the arena, stopping in the middle, the humans still pulling on her head. Soon they put a bar between her boots, leaving her unable to walk or move her back legs. By this time, she was screaming for Slade. She had seen this before, many times. They were going to breed her, even with her legs still weak.
"Alright Fred, go get the stud, this mare is in heat right now. We gotta hurry this up before it gets dark. We'll do it again tomorrow, to make sure she's good."
Hael didn't even realize she was in heat until the humans had said it aloud. The numbing in her legs was too distracting to notice anything else. The scent that she put out was tantalizing, and with her tail tied up, it flowed through the air easily.
"Go get the chestnut stag with the weird tree-looking marking. He has the body of a Warmblood, and the mix between him and this mare would be impeccable."
Hael looked to the human talking, the whites of her eyes showing with fear. This was definitely not the way she wanted to have a foal, and now she was going to be force-bred by a stranger? She screamed again, body shaking and throwing her head wildly in the air. It felt like she was the burden of bad luck.

Closing his eyes and praying that his exhausted body would let him sleep, he settled into the dusty bedding beneath him. Hearing a soft, deep voice, his eyes pulled open and he looked to the other stag in the stall close by. Tilney just gave a nod "I suppose I could be better" He said to the painted stallion who stood near him. Honestly, It was a relief to have company. It was a relief to know that now he wasnt alone. "Yes, I was Wild. Until not much longer then a week ago. My name is Tilney" The young stag muttered hopelessly to the stranger. Tilney hung his head once more, letting it rest slightly on the wooden walls.
The tall patched stallion in the next stall was suddenly calling across to the cream filly over the isle. Obviously, they were friends or lovers, or something. He heard the stallion mention to the femme that Tilney could help them escape and he just sighed. He didnt think he'd be able to do anything; he was so exhausted. His eyes were drawing to a close, but flashed open when he heard the familiar sound of footsteps. He tried looking out past the stall bars but laying down he wasnt tall enough to see out. He could hear one of them mumbling to himself as he tended to the mare. He didnt know what she needed now though.
Hearing footfalls, he frowned and wrenched himself onto shaky legs. "Where's she going?" He murmured to the stallion beside him, almost worried about what they would do with her, even though the filly was a total stranger. They had tied her tail and hobbled her back legs. He'd never seen anything like it. Tilney was smart, but certainly not worldly, and he really had no idea.
The humans turned towards him, and walked at him with ropes. He backed into the back corner of his stall and snorted in refusal, though he was way to weak to put up any kind of fight. A rope was clipped onto his headcollar and, and then another, and he was wrenched out of the stall. But why? He still couldnt understand what was going on. He followed wherever they pulled him, though raising his head and skipping on his front legs to aviod the poll and nose pressure. When his hoofs hit the soft arena sand, a scent hit his nose, and he froze. He looked closely at the mare and snorted.
Now he understood what was going on. His front legs rose and his back straightened in a vicious lash towards the humans holding his head. It was all he could manage for now though, he was just too weak. The two men plowwed his head down, holding him on his feet as they edged him towards Hael. He never imagined creating a foal like this. He never imagined he'd do something so evil. He stood weakly beside her and just sighed miserably.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael snorted, tears running down her face as she stood motionless on the soft ground. She could hardly move her legs, which were still shaking from the drugs the humans gave her. Turning her head back, she saw the unfamiliar stag standing there, trying to fight back, but he too, was weak. She turned her head back, grief enveloping her mind and sadness running through her veins. She couldn't believe what was happening, where she was, who was here. She knew that her scent would make it hard for any stag to stay away, and that only made things worse. In her mind, she envisioned this with Slade and his careful voice and touch, but quickly shook the thought away, feeling stupid that he would ever love her like that, or love her at all. She was terrified, standing there helplessly. She knew there was nothing she could do. She knew they wouldn't be able to leave until she was bred. She screamed, her voice hoarse from emotions, her whole body shaking now, violent chills ripping through her flesh from head to hoof. And through all these emotions, she managed to speak to the strange stag, just above a whisper.
"Just... Just do it. We won't be able to leave until you do. They'll starve us. We're both weak already, so just..."
She hung her head in defeat at her words, tears streaming down her face and onto the soft ground below. She knew she couldn't escape this one, and she knew Slade wouldn't be able to rescue her.

Tilney looked to the shattered mare beside him as she spoke. She was so defeated, and he hated how she had let the humans win. He looked closely at her shaking form, closed his eyes and shook his head "No" He breathed, though the scent on the air now was nothing but overwhelming to him now. He turned away and lunged at the humans again, almost resembling a dog as he opened his cold jaw to try and bite them, but they were quick on their feet and got away fast.
They'd dropped the lead ropes, and he was now free inside the yard. He snorted and paced around the fenceline, surveying how high it was. There was no way he could jump it now, not while he could hardly move. "Maybe we could just... escape or something!" He spoke desperately to Hael. He set off at a light canter, daring the humans to come back into the yard. He stopped near the gate and pawed at it, but it was unbreakable. Tilney stood angrily at the gate and gave a loud, roaring nicker. He needed help. The menslowly climbed in and snatched up the ropes once more, and Tilney was even more exhausted.
He followed them at a dragging walk to Hael and remember what she had said. Maybe she was right. maybe they wouldnt leave any of them alone until it was done. He stood next to her with a look of defeat and then just sighed and reached his head over, sweetly hanging his head over her neck and letting his chestnut mane tangle with hers. His eyes clenched shut as he shook his head "I am sorry" He spoke through a barrier a clenched jaw, gently pushing his chest against her shoulder. He'd always imagined that this would be with someone he loved, not a stranger. His feet dragged as he stepped behind Hael, moving his muzzle over her spine.
After breeding to her he stood facing away from her. He did not know how to deal with all the guilt he was currently feeling. All he could remember was his clenched teeth and eyes. The only words he said to her throughout was a continuous stream of apologies with his soft deep voice. A few moments later the men came and lead him out of the gate, away from Hael and towards Slade. He froze about half way towards the stables and looked to the men on each side of him who were pulling him towards the stables. He mustered his remaining strength and wrenched his head out of the loose headcollar, and made a speedy run for it. Galloping mast the fences and gates, and into the trees. As he galloped away he looked for the nearest source of water. Once he was hydrated, then he could think about saving Hael and Slade.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael wailed in pain as the stag climbed atop and entered her. Hael was young, and she had never experienced anything like this before. Through her tears and crying all she heard is the pounding of flesh and the strange stag muttering apologies in her ears.
"How could I let this happen? Everything, Slade being here, being captured, being bred. Everything is my fault."
Massive thoughts swirled in her mind as she stood motionless, the stag still on top of her. By this point she grew numb to the pain, numb to everything. She didn't want to be here anymore, she didn't really want to live anymore. She dreamt of Heaven, if there was such a thing. The perfect world, with Slade there and apple trees and a bunch of foals running around. Slade's foals. Everything was perfect and surreal.
Hael was brought back to reality as the stag jumped down off of her and back on the ground. She didn't even notice when he had escaped from the humans and ran back to the forest. All she could think about was what just happened, and what Slade would say. She felt entirely empty inside as the humans led her back to her stall, throwing her in recklessly and leaving right away. Instantly, she dropped to the ground and started crying, body shaking and heaving with pure guilt and sadness.
'He's not going to be mad, he doesn't love you anyways.'
Bad thoughts crept their way into her mind once again as she stretched her head out, body fully extended. She didn't even know the stag's name, and now she had the possibility of having his foal. Everything was a rushing mess, even more than it already was before.
"I'm so sorry Slade...."
She spoke in a hush whisper, repeating her apologies over and over again just like the other stag did. She closed her eyes, her head pounding with pain and heart empty, yet full of sorrow. She had no idea what to do, so all she could do now was lay helplessly on the ground, feeling more worthless and worthless by the second.
