Justa Good Fellow
Ready to start a life
The perlino paint stallion had been out and about exploring Slade's lands. After talking with Slade privately, he had decided to stay within the herd. Caruso really had grown to like the lands, but also like that fact that he was reunited with Slade, his long lost buddy who always would have his back. It was also nice to know that he was a lead stallion, with a very kind and loving mate and a foal on the way. The perlino, was actually quite excited about that fact as well. Slade having his own foal, haha he thought it was a bit crazy since the stallion he had known as a youngster was always the biggest trouble maker in the herd. However, now that Slade was older Caru could tell that he had also let himself mature a bit. Walking through the lands by himself, he let out a soft sigh. Just thinking about all of Slade's happiness made him wish he had his own too. Sure, the herd life was great but now he was down to a limited number of mares to get to know and of course, he was worried about the fact that none of them would accept the fact that he was shy. Yep, unless around Slade, Caru was rather quiet. He seemed to never know how to start a conversation, or barely even reply to it. He needed a mare that would be able to work him out of his shell, like Slade had done all those years ago. Another sigh seeped through his maw as he stopped atop Slade's hill and looked down at the happy herd before turning his head to trot off in the direction of the secret vine entrance. On this particular day he wanted to explore, it would keep his mind off the fact that he very well might just be forever lonely. As his light hooves moved across the ground he looked back one more time before walking through the vines. He knew if Slade found out that he had left for a short while, he'd get chewed up and down. But right now he just needed to think and well, patrol the boarderlands??.. At least that would be his excuse. Weaving through the trees he walked by himself, letting his mind reflect back on what had happened the last few weeks. He had come back in contact with Slade, met his gorgeous and then very pregnant mate and of course, met a beautiful young gypsy mare and her adoreable colt. Caruso knew he liked them from the get go. Something about the single mother aspect of it got to him. He was impressed, very impressed at the fact that Hael stepped up and took care of her son the way it should be done, even without a father to help guide him. However, Caruso also couldn't get over the fact that he probably would never have a chance with her. Sometimes, he tried to interact with Mouse, but you could tell he was a bit confused and scared of new people. Maybe one day he would warm up to Caruso, but at the same time Caru knew his inability to speak to mares alone would probably crush all hopes of that far off dream. He could only hope that one day, a mare would be able to open him up, get under his shell and make it easier for him to talk. Little did he know, Hael was much like he, when she met Slade. Quiet, scared and alone. Loosing track of the time as he walked, Caruso's ears then perked up as he heard the sound of others in the distance. He was sure he hadn't wandered too far off the herdlands, so these voices were very close to Slade's paradise. Letting his listening devices twitch atop his head before his stones picked up, headed right for the noises. Nares widened as he tipped his head to the sky and inhaled, scents confirming it was two mares.
Sneaking through the trees Caruso got within feint eyeshot of the mares before letting his usually shy voice beam. "What business do you have here?" He questioned, frozen within the tree's infrastructure. He wanted to help Slade, and if keeping his borderlands safe was a way he could do that, well then he would give it a go. Even though they were mare's he was clearly out numbered, however squinting his eyes he could make out the one mare was much rounder in the midsection. "You're pregnant?" managed to slip from his lips before he could even think to halt his words.. but truthfully, if she was pregnant and needed a soft place to land.. Maybe Slade's herd could help? He stood still in the distance waiting for a reply, hoping that if they did come closer they would treat him with kindness. Wounds and scars were not something he would want to return to the herd with.. Gulping softly, Caruso could only hope this meeting would go well.

save me
[smear:b83006] "Hurry up, Yui!"
The mares voice echoed throughout the woods as they traveled, one in front of the other.
"Um, excuse me, but you're not the one with a growing monster inside of your belly right now. Shut up. I'll take my own goddamn time."
The paint mare spewed back at her, heaving as she fumbled her way over brush and fallen trees.
The dun gypsy rolled her eyes in frustration at her. She knew it wouldn't necessarily be easy to run from a big, Envious stallion, and add on a very pregnant mare as her travel partner, it made everything that much more difficult. Sachi had no idea where she was, and why she decided to take Yui, a pregnant Envious mare, with her. It was strange, because even though she had hatred for all things evil and Envious, she couldn't help but feel bad for Yui, because she was in the same predicament that her herself was in. They had unknowingly been sharing the same mate, Ryuk, for awhile now, and Yui was pregnant with his foal now. She was relieved that she hadn't gotten pregnant from him, in the time that she'd known him, and would have felt guilty if she'd left Yui behind to fend for herself.
Scars and wounds covered both the mares, both with the same distinctive markings from Ryuk's wrath. Sachi stopped for a moment, only to get run into from behind from Yui, who snorted and rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Ya know, it's not very nice to stop like that right in front of me with no warning whatsoever."
Yui stated, heaving as her belly seized with discomfort.
"Shush, I smell another equine around. Stay quiet, don't tell anyone what's going on. We just need a place to stay for right now. And for Christ's sakes, don't go running around telling people you're Envious and evil."
"You're lucky I'm super pregnant right now."
Yui snaps back, her teeth baring as she glares at Sachi.
/'"What business do you have here?"'/
Sachi and Yui froze at the unfamiliar stag, unsure of what to say. Both the mares had went through so much in the past from Ryuk, that they weren't sure who to trust, even if they had opposite morals and personalities. They stayed quiet until the stag from the distance spoke again.
/'"You're pregnant?"'/
Yui scoffed and rolled her eyes at his question.
"Ding ding ding, we have a winner."
Sachi quickly turned and nipped at the other mare with a stern expression, shaking her head in disapproval. Yui, in turn rolled her eyes once again and turned her head the other way, snorting in annoyance. Sachi quickly put on a face and started walking towards the stranger with her head down.
"Hello. I am Sachi and that's Yui. We mean you no harm, we're just looking for a place to stay. You're right, Yui is very pregnant. She will give birth soon, no doubt. We just need a safe place. Will you help us?"
Although her speech seemed sort of fakey, Sachi meant what she had said. She was scared for her life, and no matter how sarcastic or obnoxious Yui was, Sachi knew she was scared, too. She truly was looking for a safe place. Hell, anywhere was better than with Ryuk.
