The grulla mare raced forward, loving as the wind took her mane and whipped it back. It was finally spring, it wasn't cold and dead. The mare loved the life and the green and the smells that came with spring. It filled her with an excitement that she could not contain, her young age getting the best of her. At only two and a half, the mare was very young and was not very mature at all. She shouldn't of ever let home, but at the time she thought she would always have her sister and everything would be okay. Now that she was on her own, she just struggled to stay sane and not get mixed in with the wrong kind of horses. With spring time came being in heat and foaling season though, and as that happened she got more nervous. Her first heat without the protection of a herd, and Kali was hoping she didn't run into anything bad. Well anyone bad. She didn't ever turn down a conversation with anyone though, as she was always desperate for a conversation. She was lonely after leaving her herd and her sister disappearing, and she was just now learning to cope with her sister gone. She couldn't cope with being alone though, so she was anxious to run into anyone and very willing to start a conversation. No stallion would breed her anyway, she really had nothing to worry about. Finally Kali slowed to a stop, her chest rising and falling quickly as she looked around. Nothing was around, no one was about. She just wanted to find someone, to speak with someone as it had been so long. A nicker rang out through her lips, calling out to any equines that might be in the area. She just needed to talk to someone, anyone that could have a conversation. She needed to go back to her herd, she needed her sister, but there was no turning back now. Even if she could, she had no idea where she would even find them. She had already looked for her sister, and continued to look for her, but had never found her. And her herd, she had forgotten where they were. She had traveled so long since then that she was lost now. The mare walked forward again, just searching and traveling slowly since her legs were starting to ache. She needed to lay down or take a break, but she was in a frantic search to speak with a living being. A whinny slipped through her lips, slightly louder as she was searching for something. Nostrils flaring she smelt the air, and she perked up happily when she thought she smelt another equine. Was this her lucky day? She whinnied again, just for good measure, and was hoping that she would finally get an answer.

GREAT GATSBY shall we, old sport? Mind ran wild as he looked around for a moment. Shifting the weight in his daggers as he tried to register everything about this place. Flickering the thorns upon his skull as he tried to register what was going on around him. Trying to get the scoop on the land that his daggers were taking him on before he moved. Knowing that he needed to understand what was around him before he got up to wander the place. Shifting the weight in his daggers as he motioned himself forwards just a tad bit. Letting out a loud snort as a bug decided to crawl up his nose for a moment and then it was gone.Thinking that he could come and irritate Gatsby just like a lot of bugs did to horses. Though of course he just shoved it to the side and carried on his happy way.
Daggers shifting under his figure as his muscles shifted with a tightening and releasing motion. Flickering the thorns about on his skull as he picked himself up to a trot and then as soon as his figure moved into a cantering motion. He seemed to have just halted. Thorns perked high on his skull and his head looking all around with his globes. The sound of someone nickering caught his attention. His globes dancing from one place to another to see just where it was coming from and yet he could not see anything. So he decided he would pick up from where he left off and head in the direction of the nickers that were being ran out into the air.
Then his eyes had fallen upon the beautiful sight of a grullo colored mare. Grinning from ear to ear as he scanned her figure for a moment before he allowed his figure to come out into the opening. Gazing at her with a soft smile upon his mug as he dipped his skull over in her direction.
"Good day, m'dear. Such a wonderful day for a stroll isn't it?"
He said with a smirk upon his mug as he gazed around at the land. Enjoying the breeze that was blowing through his mane and the soft touches of the jade pieces dancing upon the terrain. With the sun shining down upon the land and adding an extra shine off the mare's figure. Taking a moment to let in a deep breath of air before more words could form within his mug.
"My apologies if I interrupted anything. My name is Gatsby."
With his introduction he had allowed his head to slowly drop. Bringing his right pillar under his body as he allowed his left dagger to stretch out as he bowed to the lady before him. Slowing bring his figure up as he bowed to the darling mare. Hoping that she did not mind him being there. He just wanted someone to talk to and to have someone to relax with for once. An this mare kind of seemed like the mare to talk to at this point in time. words: 510 tagged: Kristen notes: n/a

Kali looked up as another equine approached her, eyes watching the stallion as he walked. A small smile spreading across her lips as he began to talk to her. Finally someone to speak with! She was so excited now, finally getting the opportunity to have a conversation and get some of her energy out. She only hoped that this stallion was nice and could put up with her young antics. He seemed pretty nice, but any stallion could be nice to a mare during the spring time.
“It is a wonderful day for a stroll…and it’s even a better day for two to take a stroll together if you would like to join me,” The kind mare said with a grin that followed into her voice, hoping that the stallion would join her. This was finally the equine attention she had been seeking for so long, and she hoped he would stick around at least for a bit. She hated to be alone, and if he was here with her for a bit she wouldn’t feel so alone. Even if she was still technically alone at the end of the day.
“I’m sorry, I’m being terribly rude. My name is Kali, it's a pleasure to meet you” She told him as she started forward, just hoping he would follow her. She looked around everywhere as she walked forward, her mind trying to take in everything. She was like that, she could never focus on just one thing. Her attention span was so short, but she liked to tell herself it was that way because she was still so young. She would get older and more mature soon, and then it would no longer be a problem.
“So, if I may ask, how long have you be out here? I’ve only been out here for by myself for a short time. I left with my sister and she disappeared…now I just like to try and find others who like to talk with me,” She said easily as her listening devices flicked around and her tail swished a bit. “I’m sorry if you become annoyed, I told see others very often and I typically get a bit excited when someone talks to me. And then I babble and talk too much and it really stinks…” The mare muttered, letting her voice trail off.
Kali just needed to be quite now, or she would run the equine off before he even agreed to speak with her. She had not quite learned the art of waiting for others to speak when she finally got someone who wanted to talk to her, and just rambled on. She was just so use to listening to herself speak to herself that she was used to it. She didn’t live a very fun life, half the time she thought she was crazy, and when another equine strolled along it was the only time she could get away from having to get no replies. And she was still too young to control her overwhelming excitement.
