The Hollow welcome to the show.
Ready or not, Pascal has claimed these lands as a gift to his own lovely Tesla. The pair will act as overseers to the charming new territory as it turns from blossoming life to a harsh winter. However, the perfect couple may turn out to be much more dysfunctional than they come across. Care to join?

i f heaven's grief brings hell's reign i would trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday. "Eyes closed, okay?"
Tesla muffled a laugh, a grin pulling at her mouth. She made her best effort to walk in a straight line, but with her sight compromised it was a challenge to even stay standing. Pascal was a strong anchor at her side though, and lead her with easy patience. The warmth of his side was a constant comfort, so she didn't feel nearly as uneasy as she should have without one of her senses.
"Pascal, for the last time, my eyes are closed!" She huffed, feigning annoyance but not well, as she was grinning excitedly to herself. She stumbled minutely over something hard, but Pascal kept her feet on the ground with a swift movement, pushing his neck under hers and lifting her back up with a charismatic laugh. "Are we there yet?" Tesla whispered softly in her mate's direction, her tail swatting innocently at his rump. A bubble of his laughter echoed over the terrain, more so than she would have first imagined, and a swift breeze caught her mane and threw it into the air with unpracticed grace. "Okay, okay. You can open them," Pascal said finally, nudging his snout into his mate's neck, smothering a grin. Tesla felt one deep exhale of his warm breath on her neck before she opened her eyes, and she lost her breath entirely.
Tesla felt her lips part instinctively and without prompt, but was much more concerned with the awe before her. The pair stood on the side of a cliff of sorts, mountains peaking around them in elegant arches. Tesla cast unbelieving eyes downwards at the lands, which were littered with uncountable evergreen trees and tall grasses, and crystal clear lakes. The grey mare found herself smiling so large that her cheeks hurt with the press, but she couldn't bring herself to stop. Birds of all kinds flew in small flocks over their heads, calling out in melodic voices that were beautiful, even if the equines didn't understand the words.
"What... what is all this?" Tesla asked, voice tinged with disbelief and underlying confusion. She stole her eyes are from the land to meet her mate's welcoming eyes and a charming smile meant just for her. It warmed her heart, just thinking of it. He touched his nose to hers faintly before turning his own attention to the terrain, looking very self-satisfied and confident.
"This is all for you. Well, for the both of us," Pascal admitted, a pleased smile crossing his features, one meant for only himself. He really had done well. "Tess, would you live here with me? And whoever else joins us?"
The mare was too captivated by his words to grimace at the nickname she so dreaded hearing, and found herself nodding eagerly with intent. She moved forward and arched her neck over his own in a small sort of embrace, and ignored the way that the equine tried to squirm out of it, as he always did. Tesla never minded much anymore, it was just how Pascal was. He was shy or embarrassed to be hugged or touched by her sometimes, and that was okay. If he was so kind to her in so many other ways, like she knew no other equine could, than she could understand that he didn't like her to initiate anything with him. That was okay.
"Of course..." she whispered, stepping back with her head lowered, dipped in silent apology. "It's beautiful," Tesla added with a reassuring smile, and she watched her mate's irritable look melt in an instant.
"Of course it is, now do you want to go explore?"
She couldn't say yes fast enough.

Daggers beat into the ground with orbs looking from one place to the other. Flickering the thoughts through his mind as he cantered forwards. Unsure of what the day would bring her. There was so much that he could do, but at this point he was going to find himself a herd to live within. To make things easier in his point of view no matter the cost or even the odd looks he has received from others. Though he did not care. He was now pushing himself over the terrain. The beauty of this place was unreal. He had not seen a place like this in a good long while.
It was peaceful a place where Priest could slow down and clear his mind. Seeing that all he wanted to do was to go out and find his brother and he could not even succeed at doing that. Though this is where everything had brought him. So as he slowed his daggers in all of his thoughts his thorns perked high in the air. Eyes looking around as the scent of equines had hit his nares. They were the first he had smelt in a while. So he shifted his weight in his daggers and took off over the terrain.
Eyes began to dart from one place over to another one. Seeing nothing just yet. He had just wandered how far they would be from him. So he would continue to push on until he caught them in the distance. His thorns perked high upon his skull as he gazed at the two for a moment. They seemed to be doing the same thing that Priest had been doing when he wandered into the place.
Taking in a deep breath, he began to motion himself towards them. Coming out from the darkness of the woods he was in and out into the opening where they could see him. "Good day." He said with a dip of his skull as he stopped near them. "The name is Priest. Might you know where the leads of this land are at?" He asked softly as he gazed around for a moment to make sure no one was sneaking upon him..
Then his eyes turned back to the pair before him. Thorns perked high on his head as he waited to see just what they might say to him. Yes, this was their first speaking moment and all, but he could not find just where the leads were and even if the two before him were. So he stood there. Waiting to see just what this stallion and mare pair was going to say towards him. tagged: here | music: here| words: 460 made by abby of i'm so curious

entertain the pain i f i could i would kiss you Upon hearing a shuffling of hooves somewhere off in the distances, it was enough to stir Pascal from his satisfied stupor as he watched his mate dart through one of the various ponds in the area. The stallion's ears pricked in interest, curious as to what a new equine might bring to the table in the pair's new home-to-be. Pascal stood just a little straighter, chest puffed forward slightly more as he listened for further indications of the unfamiliar being's whereabouts.
Tesla herself had halted in her frivolous dancing in the pond, coming to stand knee-deep in the transparent blue water. Her coat settled finally, set with constellations of water droplets that left patches of her pelt darker than the base. Her mane and tail pulled her heavily towards the ground, weighed down and completely soaked with water. She slowly waded forward, pushing through the pond with surprisingly forceful strides. Coming to stand beside Pascal at his left flank, she lowered her snout and let her ears fall forward in comfortable ease.
However long they stood there waiting, it wasn't terribly long before a flashy grullo stallion emerged from carefully placed shadows, in all his glory. Tesla took an immediate step closer to her mate, who was essentially smaller in height than herself. The difference in stature was often lost in the mare's submissive stance and matching personality, a stark contrast to a bold and (debatably) pretentious stallion.
Pascal, however, slunk a step forward. His mug smiled placatingly, eyes soft and pointedly careful as his natural charming self. He took immediate notice of the distinct scarring this new stallion wore, that which began at his muzzle and trailed to his tailbone, a shorter streak running perpendicular to it. It resembled a cross perhaps, in the most basic way he assumed. Pascal tipped his head in contemplation, or perhaps in appreciation, but nonetheless the lead stallion was not threatened by a new face. This newcomer bowed politely to the pair, which only smoothed over this greeting all the more.
Tesla, regaining her sweet composure, smiled shyly up at the grullo stag. She moved to greet him in return, but nearly swallowed her tongue after her mate spoke over any comment she made to speak. "Hello then, Priest," Pascal spoke with a tip of his head to the side in greeting. Not quite a nod of respect, but verging on pleasant acknowledgement. "I do know, in fact, but you've already found us on your own," the grey stallion said with a charismatic pull of his lips. "I'm Pascal, and this is my lovely mate Tess-"
"-la. Tesla, please. It's nice to meet you, Priest," Tesla interrupted, desperate to correct Pascal before the nickname stuck with anyone else. She looked the taller stallion in the eyes with a pleasant, if shy, smile and an easy-going sweep of her tail. She knew Pascal might be angry with her later, in private, for speaking outright and interrupting him at such a crucial time. It had to be worth it though, and he wouldn't be in the wrong for being cross with her. So she thought, at the least.
Pascal sent a fleeting glare down at his mate's lowered head, one she failed to see or pointedly ignored, and looked back up to Priest. His composure flooded back to him in an instant, a lazy smile coming to return. "Forgive me for prying, but that scar of yours is absolutely demanding of attention," the grey lead noted, "It's quite intense, isn't it?"

Eyes watched as the mare seemed to be leeched to her mates rear. Thorns perking as his head shifted slightly as he gazed at the mare for a moment. Wondering just why she did this. Shouldn't a mare stand tall beside her mate. Helping him stay strong especially since they seemed to be the leads of this territory. Though of course Priest was not going to question this mare about her actions or even the stud not wanting her at his side. Though of course Priest shook his head and put his gaze back onto the stallion as he spoke towards Priest.
Nodding his head to both of them as they spoke their names towards him. "Nice to meet the both of you Pascal and dear, Tesla." He said as he gave Tesla a kind smile and dipping his head towards the mare to show him that he really did not want her to shy from him but to enjoy him being around and see that he was a kind stallion who did not mean any kind of harm to anyone around.
His eyes gazing over towards Pascal and then back to Tesla as they seemed to be giving each other signs that Priest knew before. Knowing that Pascal did not like just how Tesla was acting but of course Priest did not mind it at all. "Dear Tesla please do not hide your figure. Come step forwards so we can talk together and not so far apart. For I will not harm a hair on you. I have no such intensions. I am just here to find some place to call home so that I may rest my figure and help protect those who need it." His eyes looking at only Tesla. Trying to start some kind of conversation to help her move her figure up beside her mare to speak to them together and not have to make sure that she could hear him.
Skull of the grullo brute turned and looked at his scar than back over towards Pascal. "Yes my scars make me a marked equine in my first herd I was brought into. Its where I was punished for deeds they thought were unfit and they did it so that my younger sibling would not follow in my hoofprints and see that me speaking to more than one mare was wrong within the herd. Well, when I mean more than one mare. I mean in like a flirting type of way. You can say my younger days I was a big flirt." He said as he shifted his weight and held his head high up in the air. Letting off a soft grin upon his mug. Eyes gazing at the stallion and mare pair that was before him. Waiting to see just what they might say to him next. tagged: here | music: here| words: 460 made by abby of i'm so curious

You say I would make a better liar i never face the music when it's DIiRE Tesla felt her skin grow uncomfortably tighter with each passing moment. The attention that Priest was giving her was not only unfamiliar, but it made her irrationally nervous, even more so in front of her mate. She took a small moment to steel herself away from the conversation, pulling up courage and praying that it might suffice. She took a few small steps forward, nearly reaching a parallel with Pascal's frame, but not just. The mare couldn't bear to spare a glance at Pascal, if only because she knew he was radiating irritability from the inside out. Tesla wanted only to not cause a scene in front of Priest, being a prospective herd member, but knew that her mate would not say anything of it in front of the new stallion.
Pascal tensed, repressing anger and clear disapproval as Tesla took the advice from Priest, and took to standing near to his immediate side. His nostrils flared, hoping to let her know just how intensely she'd messed up, but he made no motion to speak against her. Instead he plastered a believable smirk on his mug, ears falling forward in interest as the lead stallion returned to the conversation at hand.
"You sound like an honest horse, Priest. I respect you for that. You've indeed come to the right place," Pascal projected, his charisma radiating a sort of handsome glow as he did. Certainly Priest would make an excellent first member, Pascal pondered, if his polite form and gracious tone were anything to judge by. The grullo stag also seemed to have a rather curious past, and Pascal found himself listening intently to the explanation.
"How fascinating..., and troublesome I presume. No matter though, as you're here now," Pascal continued airily, sweeping his tail elegantly behind him. Upon glancing to his side, he saw Tesla's dazed expression and gently nudged the mare's neck with his muzzle. Tesla startled out of a stupor, completely oblivious to the conversation in front of her but playing as though she were paying attention. Pascal laughed lightheartedly aloud, giving her a dazzling smile that the mare indeed saw an undertone of disapproval.
Tesla felt a shiver meander up her spine, an uneasy, tingling feeling pooling at her hooves. She smiled politely at Priest, her head dipping significantly lower in silent apology. Pascal gave her a small nod before turning back to their guest.
"If you're looking for a place to rest, temporary or not so, you're welcome to hover here. Our lands are quite charming, especially with such nice weather we're having?" He offered as a question, directing the attention to the aforementioned terrain he was so proud of. The climate was indeed pleasantly warm, a sun beaming down at them in soft rays, birds chirping harmoniously to one another from the evergreen trees. Pascal smiled appreciatively at it all, wondering if Priest thought the same. Tags: Priiiest || Words: 514 || Notes: meet pascal and tesla Thread template coding credited to Julio! from Delusional

Eyes looked at them. Feeling the cool breeze blowing through his pelt. Flickering his thorns about on his head as he looked back over to the pair. Wondering just what was going on between them at this point. Tesla just seemed so much like a follower would be. Something one would really not think she would be that way. By the way she looks she should be standing tall. It just made Priest wonder if she was mostly a follower instead of a leader, but he shook his head when he began to look over towards Pascal. Seeing that he was a leader that was not liking the fact that Priest had put his attention all upon Tesla. Sighing as he began to think he should not be in this herd.
Words filling his ears as he gazed at Pascal. Taking in everything that he had to say towards him. Nodding his head as he looked at Pascal. "I thank you for that compliment. I'm hoping that I am. Though I do have a friend that might join us. Two in fact, but I came to test the waters before I brought them this way. Only to make sure this place seemed suited for them to come here with me or if I am to find a new home to make sure that they remain safe." He said honestly as he thought about Shaman and Dixie. Wanting to bring them with him, but of course he was testing which herd would really be greatful for them to be in. Whether he would turn and go back and stay in the mixed lands or really stay in the pure lands.
Head giving off another nod as he gazed at the stallion and then to Telsa as the stallion seemed to nudge her with a gentle touch. Priest just sighed as he looked down to the ground for a moment and closed his eyes only so that he would not speak up about the actions that Pascal was showing towards his mare. Making her feel so under and not really at his side. It was truly awful to see this kind of action, but of course Priest could not say anything. He was just a loner. Testing the waters that were in this place.
Eyes watched in pretty much hated what he was seeing. With his figure backing up from where he stood as he took in a deep breath. Listening to the words that Pascal began to say towards him. 'If you're looking for a place to rest, temporary or not so, you're welcome to hover here. Our lands are quite charming, especially with such nice weather we're having?' His words were changed as if to put Priest attention some where else. Nodding as he turned his attention to the terrain and then turned and looked back over towards Pascal.
"Yes, this weather is nice here and this place seems ever so nice to live in, but I can't bite my tongue anymore. I might be stepping out of line on this part, but why are you doing most of the talking? I have hardly heard one word form Tesla. An every time she does something you just give her a look like she is nothing and she is stepping out of her place. Isn't he suppose to be your lead mare that stands at your side with her head held high in the air? I mean that would show that we are all equal to others and that the lead mare is happy where she stands." Once he finished his words he gave a soft nod and another deep breath with a sigh being let out. "Sorry if my words are out of line or anything. Just had to say something about that. We are suppose to be Pures were are mare's stand tall beside us and not like Envious who make sure their mares are in place so that they can control them." He added on as he looked to Pascal. Knowing that he had started something and that he hated to be in Tesla's place at this point. Taking in a sigh of relief to have gotten that off of his chest. Waiting to hear just what he was going to reply and say towards Priest. Ready for anything to come his way.

She was struck down, it was her doom. she's been hit by a smooth criminal Pascal, ever the leader, grinned with bright charisma and Priest mentioned his friends and his concerns to bring them along with him. It would prove to be beneficial, if Priest were to bring more horses to the herd. Not only would it be a vibrant growth to the pair's blossoming her, the friendly dynamic of the horses who knew each other already would be an ease to accept. Pascal gave Priest a nod, acknowledging him completely and agreeing that he should see if the lands, and by default leads, were a fit to them.
"Of course, we'd be happy to have them, even for a short while. I look forward to the possible introductions, even if you decide we are rather unsuited for you," Pascal admitted honestly, ears swapping back and worth as he spoke. While he was anxious to get a jump on building a herd, he was much aware that not all that came across him would fare well. Pascal is known as two-faced, but has a heart that truly does mean well. He is misguided, yes, but perhaps good at heart. However calm and accepting he'd been in that moment fell from drastic height as Priest next spoke. The stag's ears nearly flattened straight back, and would have if he were not a gentleman.
/I have hardly heard one word form Tesla. And every time she does something you just give her a look like she is nothing and she is stepping out of her place. /
Pascal wants nothing more than to cause bodily harm to the equine who accuses him of such things, and subsequently puts Tesla on a spot she is frankly not comfortable with. He instinctively steps in front of his mate, protection from the prying words that Pascal knows pick at Tesla's skin like flies. His ears pin warningly, but not threatening, and he moves to snap out at the stag. Tesla touches a tentative muzzle to her mate's nose, moving to step into view of Priest again. Pascal makes no move to stop her.
"I think you've misunderstood, Priest," Tesla says softly, but her tone leaks with controlled confidence, completely uncharacteristic but present all the same. She stands taller now, proving her height as just a fraction taller than her mate, and makes direct eye contact with the unfamiliar stag. "And certainly you are right, that it is not your place to pry. You are no one to tell me if I am happy or not. And I'd rather you not subjugate Pascal to your scrutiny as well. Perhaps I am just shy," she finishes, body relaxing and falling just a slight notion. She hovers by her mate's side.
"Of course, thank you for your concern. It is not needed though," she says with a quiet smile. Pascal looks pleased by her side, and watches Priest, gauging his reaction.

R I P T I D E The mare lifted her head at the faint traveling sounds of a small group of horses in the not so far distance. It may have just as well been a small group of loners just conversing but there had also been word that an upcoming herd had been around the area. Which is exactly why she had been circling the area for the past few sunrises. She cautiously made her way closer to the sound in light steps and pausing momentarily to see if she had lost the sound in the wind or other sounds. But, eventually she had gotten over her bundle of nerves and picked up the pace into the woods in a careful jog and her head lowering her head as her eyes lifted to find the group with a careful and curious look in her eyes. Tide scoped out the area, two stallions and two mares. She wasn't even entirely sure if she wanted to try this, herd thing. She had been in one a while back but they had scattered after the dark had taken most of their land. So, she had this whole loner thing down. She flicked her tail gently and just observed the situation before actually engaging. She was split down the center which was typical for her in everything she did, intact it was rather irritating never making up her mind unless she was forced too. She shifted the weight on her hooves as she remained hidden in the brush until she hyped herself up to wander out or be caught ease dropping and starting off with them thinking she was a spy.
It wasn't even five minutes after she had remained still when she slowly moved from her spot out into the clearing. Her eyes never leaving the group as caution stiffened her stance as she remained quiet other than just interrupting their conversation. So, after the last word spoken she decided to speak. "I do not mean to interrupt, but correct me if I'm wrong that this is the new territory that was claimed?" her voice clearly nervous and unsure as she pawed nervously at the ground. "And If so I was curious to ask if I may have refuge here." She added awkwardly as she carried her gaze away from the group as if questioning her own words. She wasn't sure how to blatantly ask to join the herd without any warning. So, this seemed like the most respectful route to take in the current situation.

"You smell her too, right?" The grey mare asks her lead outright, scenting another equine milling about between the mountainous lands, the smell made more potent by the drizzling rain. The lands were already chilling in temperature, leaves crumbling underfoot, and waters turning cold. Autumn was here and Winter wouldn't be too far off.
Pascal startled slightly, having missed the obvious breeze of scent altogether. He nodded though anyway, just as a mare stepped away from her hiding place, with a clearing of his throat, too proud to admit he'd been distracted in his own head. Tesla smiled kindly at the newcomer, ears falling forward as she spoke. She held back from moving forward, afraid she might come off as intimidating.
Pascal, however, slunk a step forward. His mug smiled placatingly, eyes soft and pointedly careful as his natural charming self. Pascal tipped his head in contemplation, or perhaps in appreciation, but nonetheless the lead stallion was not threatened by a new face. Tesla, regaining her sweet composure, smiled shyly up at the black-coated mare.
"Hello then," Pascal began to break ice, "You're correct though, about the lands."
"Welcome to the Hollow," Tesla spoke up with a short smile, her excitement for a new face seeping into her emotions. "I'm Tesla, and this is Pascal. You're welcome to stay as long as you need, if you'd tell me your name?"

The little colt bounded forward in an awkward little trot and canter, completely ecstatic because they were getting closer to other horses. "Come on Dirk! You're being to slow," The little colt said as he nipped at the stallion and darted forward. After a few months of travelling with Dirk, and the first few weeks of Creon following the slightly reluctant stallion, they were inseparable. Dirk took care of him and the little colt kept him busy. Creon thought of his mother every now and then, he of course missed her, but now that he had someone to travel with it wasn't as bad. He had pretty much given up on the idea of seeing her again, but he didn't know why she had left him in the first place or where she had went. Since they had first met at the mud hole though Creon had grown quite a bit, and now the young colt was fast growing and quickly catching up to his companion. The sooty buckskin colt, though he enjoyed the fact someone had taken him under their wing, he was thrilled at the possibility of meeting new horses. And the chance to stay with them would be even better, because Creon loved to be around other equines and to talk. "Do you think they'll all be friendly.? Think we can stay for a bit.?" He asked as the young equine stopped and turned around, looking back at Dirk as he waited for him. He wasn't a very patient little guy, and when he got excited he tended to bounce around a lot and talk even more than he usually did. "I think we're getting pretty close," He said as his brown eyes searched the place, but he couldn't actually see any horses yet he could just smell them. His little black hooves carried him forward, his head perked high as he was all alert, and after a bit more travelling he could finally see some other horses. "Go say hi to them, you go," Creon said, suddenly a bit more nervous now that there were actually three horses over there. He was excited to meet them, but what if they were mean? Or what if they didn't want other horses around here? Meeting Dirk was different, because he was alone and he had watched him for a little and he didn't seem mean. But he didn't know about them, so he would make Dirk say something to them first.

Country boy
Get your redneck on y'all
The big grulla stag would come off to some as rough around the edges with a bit of a personal hygiene problem. But none of that seemed to matter to the little colt that had become his traveling companion. They happened upon each other by accident but Dirk truly believed that everything happened for a reason. He liked company and the colt needed someone to look up to. Someone to guide him to becoming a great stallion. Good thing he was a kind hearted stag and ended up making a good replacement father for little Creon. They had been traveling together now for a month or so and with each passing day Dirk would try to teach the little fella something. From how to find food or water to how to sneak through the forest with ease and stealth. Each day, the colt caught on quickly, always wanting to be just like Dirk. This particular day, Dirk had caught wind of a new herd brewing not far from where they were. Against his better judgement Dirk figured it would be nice to maybe at least check out the herd. From what he could figure it was at least a pure herd and he and lil fella would probably do better in a herd atmosphere at this point anyway. They had both saw enough of the loner world and maybe it was time to settle down for a more comfortable and safe life. As they walked, Dirk could see the excitement brewing in the youngster. /Come on Dirk! Your being slow!/ He could hear the colt yelp as Dirk trugged along the forest floor, clearly not in as big of a rush as the colt. He snorted softly and reached out to nip him softly in the rear before chuckling under his breath. Quickly, the colt blurt out more words, this time; /"Do you think they'll all be friendly.? Think we can stay for a bit.?"/ The question he had asked was the mother of all questions, and of course Dirk gave his best answer in his rather unique redneck southern drawl. "Well Lil Fella, all of that depends on how much we impress the herd. If they like us, and we like them, we can stay. But if things go south in a hurry you just bug out as fast as ya can and I'll find ya. I hear they are ok horses, pure horses, but I guess we will see now huh?" Noticing that Creon had actually stood still for just a second while he spoke, but then quickly began his whole eager and bouncing act again. Dirk couldn't help but smile. His 'lil fella' was growing up fast now and almost everything he did made Dirk happy in side. Who knew a rough and tough mud loving stallion would have such a soft spot for a young lost colt... Then he could hear the colts voice speak up, that they were getting close. Sure enough, he was right. Dirk could smell the other horses scents off in the distance, but close enough now that they should stay alert. Of course, within a few more strides the small gathering herd came into view and Dirk could make out the figure of three equines. Creon quickly pointed out that Dirk should go talk to them first, which was a great idea of course. However Dirk was also going to turn this into a learning adventure for his lil fella too. Creon was to come with him. Reaching his muzzle down Dirk nudged the colts shoulder before answering back with his plan of action, he just wanted to be sure he had the overly excited foals attention first. "I'll go talk to them, but yer comin with me lil fella. Remember what I taught you about standing tall. You want to respect these horses here, they can keep us safe as long as we all get along, you hear? I know you can do it, you don't have to go first, jus follow'er me." After Dirk was finished with his words he stood back up tall himself instead of his head lowered to the colts height. Looking to Creon, he moved on forward, headed for the herd, just hoping his lil fella followed his orders and came with him. Stepping away Dirk knew this would be a new chapter in both of their lives, he just hoped it would be a good one. As he neared the group of horses he could tell that two, particularly standing together were greys. One a lighter shade of grey then the other. Also, one a mare and the other a stallion. Because of their stance and the last few words Dirk had heard from the mares lips, he assumed they were the leads. The black mare, he assumed was another herd member, or trying to become one. Looking back he checked on Creon before looking towards the small group and letting a warm whinny escape his lips. Followed by a small nod of his head as he stopped a good 10 ft from the group and announced himself and creon. "'Ello. We mean no harm." his drawl horribly noticeable once you first meet him and aren't used to it yet of course.. "Names Dirk. This 'ear is lil fella, but you can call 'em Creon. We are just looking for a safe place to join. Been alone with lil fella for a while and its bout time we found somewhere nice to stay. If ya'all will let us of course." Looking back to Creon he hoped this all would go well, he had no idea how he'd handle it three to one and a half.. Especially standing next to them and noticing they were all a good 5-6 inches taller then he in the first place. Letting a very quiet sigh through his lips, he waited. Keeping on eye on lil fella at all times and the other on the group of horses, making sure they made no wrong moves toward he or the helpless colt. Protective replacement father that he was.

cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye.
Lover Dearest
Tesla lifts her head up minutely at the scent of new horses, a soft smile draping itself across her lips as she nudged her mate lightly with her muzzle in the direction. She waits a moment, watching Pascal's nostrils flare as he too caught wind of the newcomers. The mare is known to have keener senses than her stallion, and has an inch or two of height on him as well. She hears the brunt of it many times in a day, how the lead stallion should be the better leader, the better equine altogether. Each time she merely nods, or rolls her eyes in silence, because that old-fashioned way of thinking was just that- old. But if it might placate her mate from his obvious alpha male complex, with a hint of overcompensation, then she can bare with it, at least for now.
"Well, isn't this lovely, more stallions," Pascal drones irritably, letting out a loud snort. Even still, the grey stallion makes sure to keep alert as the two scents neared their locations. He is determined this time to make a good impression, as the last stallion who'd visited them looked for solace had run for the hills. Conversation and overall social skills must be somewhere he is lacking, and not for lack of trying.
When the newcomers are close enough to see, Pascal is the first to move closer to greet them, keeping them still at arm's length- around 5 feet. Tesla follows at his flank before halting at his direct left. Stealing a glance at his mate, he sees her exuding calm composure, her face equal parts naturally pleasing and kind. His chest rumbles in a soft nickle at her; she's always been admirable beyond compare. He often wonders what he'd do without her, but his pride keeps him from explaining so on tongue.
"Hello, then, travelers," Pascal begins with a charming smile, on command. His chest puffs forward visibly, head rising to stand above them- a need to feel superior. "Where are you coming from?" he asks pointedly, ignoring their introductions, pressing for information. He moves to step forward, but the motion is aborted when Tesla does so instead, stopping only when he is now at parallel with her right hip. He snorts pointedly, but doesn't otherwise protest.
"Please, I'm sure you're tired. There will be time for questions later," she promises her mate without meeting his eyes, instead turning her attention to the two figures come to meet them. She smiles politely as she looks them over, hoping not to offend. The taller of the two is well-built and slightly shorter than the leads, but where the greys are lean and tall, this stallion is build not for race but for stamina. His coat is a flattering grullo with dappling sprinkled down his back. He seems easy-going, and Tesla smiles at the thought. It's something that they could use around here.
Her attention is directed to the younger then, a small colt with an interesting shade of buckskin for pelt. He's young, but she can't determine an age. It's been a long time since Tesla had come into contact with someone so young, so it's quite a pleasure in her eyes.
"Hello, Dirk and Creon," she greets, lowering her head minutely to match the height of Dirk first, and then drooping even lower to give Creon a kind look before rising. She is the embodiment of respect and authority, Pascal thinks sullenly, but says nothing of the sort. "I'm called Tesla, and this is my mate, Pascal. We've only come into these lands recently," she makes sure to mention.
"We'd be happy to let you stay a few nights, or longer if you please, but that's a decision I'd like to look into once we've been properly introduced." The grey mare's tail swipes lazily left and right, the epitome of content, as she tips her head just so. She can't help but wonder, though, if the two are related or just traveling companions. It seems odd to her that a colt should be on his own so soon. She says as much, "Pardon me if I ask, but are you two related? I've never met two stallions with such handsome coats before, though they seem quite different."
Pascal fidgets behind her, uneasy at the easy flattery from his mate directed at these two strangers. He lightly presses his muzzle to her side, eyeing DIrk with a sort of jealousy and coldness. Without knowing the stallion personally, Pascal is unsure how close he wants to let him near Tesla. Though the lead is sure that he can't control the grey mare any further than she will allow.

Creon; The Adorable
The colt watched them all curiously, his eyes on the mare and stallion before him. The stallion didn’t look the friendliest, just by the way he stood and puffed his chest out like that, but the mare looked a lot nicer. Creon puffed his own little chest out, he wished to be just as big as the other stallions but he was still much smaller than them. He made sure he stayed puffed up like the stallion that was talking. He didn’t know if that was respectful like Dirk had told him to be, but he often imitated the others around him. Creon looked up at Dirk as he waited for him to talk, but his attention was diverted back to the mare when she spoke again. She said a lot about them being tired and there was time for questions later, and then mentioned their names. Tesla and Pascal, well he liked Tesla a lot more than the stallion. She was nicer, where the stallion didn’t really talk much and his face just looked unhappy. The foal feared that the stallion wouldn’t like them, and then he wouldn’t let him and Dirk stay. Creon loved to travel around, but he also wanted to stay with others. He liked horses and wanted to play with other horses than just Dirk, though Dirk was the best horse out there. He cared for him and wouldn’t let anything happen to him, and he was the funnest horse around. No one could beat Dirk, not in his little eyes. His ears pricked up as the mare asked if they were related, and Creon nodded his head. “Yeah, he’s my daddy. The best dad ever actually. It’s just us though, I don’t got a mom,” He said in an innocent voice, calling the stallion his father though he wasn’t. His little voice carried a soft accent quite like Dirk’s, something that had rubbed off on their months of travel together. He was just the stallion kind enough to take in a sad little foal who had no one, but that was a few months ago when Creon was still really young and days he barely remembered. Now all he really knew and remember was travelling with Dirk, and he loved all of those days. “IS there anyone else around here? Are there any foals like me?” he asked curiously, his young voice curious as he looked around and his brown eyes searched everywhere. He wanted other young equines to play with. It wasn’t that Dirk wasn’t fun to play with, he also wanted to play with other horses his age. He hadn’t met another horse his age, he didn’t even think there were horses out there his age, but maybe there would be one around here or somewhere close. Or maybe one would come by soon. A colt could dream.
