Slade says I love you! <3 [Bones only please]

I knew you were trouble...

The day had turned out to be a nice one. The sun had shined through the partial clouds quite brightly through the day, causing the tempatures to rise to around 75 degrees. Slade's pelt had for the most part, all shed out except a small scraggly patch around his softly healed scar upon his right rib cage, the one that Bones' father left of course. It still hurt on occasion, but Slade figured it was from still healing, and the muscle and pelt there just being tender yet. Though pain was nothing to him really so he always would just shrug it off and go about his duties.

However, the sunny day was drawing close to an end, and as Slade finished his dusk walk around the herdlands he decided that tonight would be the night that he tried to change things. He had thought about all day how he would try and make up his silly mistake to Bones. How he had said she was 'a little more then a friend' foolishly, of course. Because no sooner did it come out of his mouth, Bones went into a blaze of fury, shouted that she liked him 'a little more then a friend' and then too off, discovering Hael. Things had been so crazy and hectic since then and the lead hadn't yet gotten a chance to fix his mistake. Feeling horrible everyday longer that it drew out, he knew he had to step up and do something about it.

His feelings for the mare were real, he loved her, he really did. Though Slade also knew Bones and how if you said the wrong thing at all, well she'd be rather unhappy. However, Slade just brushed most of it off to her being a mare, like most other mares he had delt with, their moods were always a gamble. But this time he knew he had to just suck up whatever reactions she might have and just lay it all out on the line. His mind flashed back to the dream he had with Bones' round belly peeking out from her sides as she stood beside him atop his hill, watching the herd intently. Their herd, and soon to be, their small familys herd. It was a pleasant thought but Slade also had known how she reacted around Mouse, thus making foals anytime soon, a distant hope.

Shrugging off his thoughts, the colorless lead walked across the earthen ground as the sun began to dip behind the cliffs, leaving a gorgeous pink and yellow shine across the heavens. Smile planted across his kissers as Slade made his way towards Bones. Nearing her, he tipped his maw out and rubbed against her neck for a moment before swinging his side next to hers and letting their pelts touch while he inhaled and released his soothing voice.

"Well, Miss Bones. I'd love to know if you would so happily accommodate me tonight. We both do need a good nights rest of course and well, if you'd have me, I'd like to join you."
Speaking like a idiot, he knew he should have just spat it out.. taking in a small sigh and releasing it the stag let his voice sound once again, this time getting straight to the point. Usually beating around the bush wasn't him at all, but Bones, well he had screwed up with her enough and didn't want to do it more...
"I guess what I'm trying to say is I know last time we tried to sleep, I screwed it up. Screwed it up big time and I know that. I fell horrible about it and can't get it off my mind. I understand if you can't forget it, but if you could at least give me another chance?"
He half smiled, eyes wide and almost begging as he looked to her face, hoping she would say yes of course. Though, Slade didn't want to smother her either. He wanted her to make her own decision without feeling forced. So with those words he stepped forward a few paces from the gorgeous brindle mare, looked up to the fading sunset for a moment, before turning back his head and neck to speak again.

"I'll let you decide. If you decide to accompany me, I'll be atop my favorite hill."
The lead spoke with a soft tone and small smile as he tipped his head away and effortlessly picked up a swift trot to climb the side of his hilltop perch. As he reached the flat land atop he gazed down at his growing herd, thankful for what he had before letting his knees drop to the soft green grassy soil beneath his hooves. Curling his legs beneath him he rested his head on the ground and waited, hoping the gorgeous brindle love of his would show up at any moment.

However, she did not know the stags real plans.. the plans he had thought of for days, what he could do to make this all up to her. But not only what he could do, but say as well. Now finally, he thought he had it all planned out as long as she was tired enough to be a hard sleeper of course..

Bones was standing there, contemplating trying to fall asleep right now or to go find someone to speak with and try and fall asleep later. Since the attack from her father she really hadn’t slept a lot, and since her awkward talk with Slade everything had just been weird. This was why the mare had never wanted to say anything or feel anything in the first place, because everything got screwed up and complicated once feelings were let into it all. You couldn’t just say, hey I like you and things go all perfectly from there. Of course not, nothing easy could ever happen in the life of Bones.

A gentle touch to her neck got her attention, her blue eyes glancing up and focusing on Slade as he began to speak. The touches were something new since her father had tried to take her, and she liked them. They were reassuring and soothed her, they made her feel good. Her thoughts went back to focusing on Slade though, as he quietly asked for her to go and sleep beside him. With a pause, he then spoke again and talked about their little mess up and that if she could forget about that she should join him.

Before the mare could reply though Slade said he was going to his hill and she should accompany him if she wanted. She watched as he trotted off, exhaling slowly before shaking her pelt out. She didn’t want him to feel horribly for last time, maybe her reaction had been a little unnecessary. With a shake of her head the brindle mare walked forward, not wanting to seem desperate to sleep next to him but she was happy for the invitation. After her little admission of her feelings she had decided she would just be quiet about her feelings and things like wanting to sleep with Slade, it would just be easier that way. But now that Slade had asked and she had gotten terrible sleep the last few nights if any at all, she was happily going to sleep by his side.

Walking up the hill and towards Slade, the mare laid down beside him once she got him. “Thank you for inviting me to sleep with you tonight. And please do not feel terrible or continue to dwell on what was said last time between us. I shouldn’t have gotten angry like I had, it was uncalled for. Please forgive me for that,” She said softly as she watched him, reaching forward and nuzzling his neck softly. “I am happy you have invited me to sleep with you tonight though. I am exhausted though, so I will see you in the morning. Good night,” Bones said with a soft smile before laying her head down and closing her eyes.

Though she had said good night her mind wasn’t quieted, thoughts continuing to run mad. Bones hoped that would make everything less awkward between the two, she had apologized and she hoped that they could go on with their lives. She had never felt this way before, or had another stallion feel this way about her, so she wasn’t really sure where they went from here. And she really wasn’t sure if Slade would want to go farther than that night with her, he only really liked her just a little more than a friend anyway. The mare stopped that thought though, she couldn’t hold those words against him.

Even with her untamed thoughts, Bones quickly passed out beside Slade. She could finally sleep without waking at every noise or terrified someone would come and get her. She could relax and slip into a deep sleep, and that was exactly what happened. She slept perfectly, without even a flinch through the night. Her slumber was finally without any disturbances or nightmares.

I love you, Bones...

The stag lay on the ground until moments later when Bones had greeted him. Warmth filling his heart as she dropped down beside him and then started to talk. He loved her voice, so soothing and almost a melody to his ears as they listened to every sound she made. Smile planted across his kissers as she spoke about being sorry. It wasn't her fault though, he was the one to totally mess up his words, and not let his true feelings show. It had been a foolish mistake and one he wasn't going to make again.
Black forelock drooped across his eyes as he picked up his head from the ground and replied back to her before she tried to fall asleep.
"No no, Bones. Its not you're fault you have nothing to apologize for, honestly. Just sleep well."
Suddenly he felt her soft warm muzzle rubbing across his neck, letting himself thoroughly enjoy the moment before her sweet voice returned, this time to say that she was tired and was going to sleep.

Slade knew it, he could see the life almost drained from her frame. The poor fea hadn't gotten much sleep since everything had gone down with her father and the fight. After that everything seemed to happen so quickly. Slade himself was running off only mere hours of sleep over the last week. Although mentally an emotionally very tired, Slade knew he couldn't let himself sleep for long. He had prepared this surprise for Bones over and over in his mind these last few day and was determined to make it right with her.

The lead let his mind drift a bit before fluttering his eyelashes and softly placing his head on Bone's shoulder before letting himself drift into a fragile sleep.... While sleeping he drempt happy thoughts, his mind almost seeming to flash between visions, starting with his previous dream of Bones pregnant standing atop the hill, then flashing to Bones with her wide belly, galloping alongside him across the lush green valley, and finally flashing to Bones, a small colt, and he standing back atop his favorite hill. Even though dreaming Slade could almost feel himself smile the biggest he ever had. The want for his own offspring was so great, yet he knew he had to even get to asking Bones to be his mate first..
Only a few mere hours later, eyes shot wide open as Slade woke in a panic. It was not a noise or danger that woke him, but just the shear thought of him missing his chance to make it up to Bones, that he had slept too long and wouldn't have time to prepare his surprise.

However, upon quickly waking he noticed that it was still quite dark out and Bones was still sleeping peacefully beside him. Thankful, he released a small sigh before looking at the mares beautiful bodice next to him. He admired her beauty for a few moments before slowly pushing to his hooves as quietly as he could. Softly, he moved his hooves among the ground and headed a few steps away from the mare. As always, his favorite large pine trees were just at the bottom of his perch. Walking to them, he began his mission, grabbing a few pine cones at a time in his maw before walking to a small private meadow within the large trees.

So far, he hadn't noticed any others to find his little private wonderland yet. It wasn't anything really special, but it was so mysteriously settled among the large pines, with a lone apple tree off center near the middle. All the rest of the apple trees had grown on the east side, but not this one. Happily, he worked, arranging the pine cones across the ground in a heart like fashion. Satisfied with the first online, he smiled before walking off to check back up on Bones. The last thing he wanted was for her to awake without him there. Smile crossing his lips wider as he admired her atop his hill, still sleeping peacefully, which ment it was time for his next step. Flowers. Trotting off quickly he made his way towards some gorgeous blue bell's that had started to bloom first. Grabbing them between his teeth he quickly made a pile of them before picking them all up in a huge mouthful and bringing them also to his little meadow surrounded by the pines.

On arrival he spat them on the ground and also began to arrange them into a heart shape across the lush green grass, accenting the pine cones he had previously laid out. Happy with how things were going, he kept repeating the process, each time with another type of flower or or pretty berry bush that he could find, and on each venture into and out of the pines, he checked on Bones.
Of course, he'd never be able to forgive himself if something happened to her while he was supposed to be sleeping beside her.

Finally, almost 3 hours later, the dark began to lighten and Slade could tell the sun was going to be rising within the next half hour. Quickly, he looked at his sides, he wanted to see how dirty he had become over the last few days as he wanted everything to be prefect. Slade wanted to be clean and presentable and of course, wanted his lovely pine cone, flower and berry arrangement to be perfect. Now he could only hope that Bones would like it too of course.

Walking slowly and cautiously as he neared her, not wanting to yet wake her suddenly, a soft smile appeared on his lips as he softly rubbed her brindle lines. Following them down her sides almost like a massage before looking to her sweet peaceful sleeping face. Slowly, he let out his soft breath from his nares, while watching the air wiggle the forelock hairs laying across her face. Chuckling softly before letting his deep, calm voice break through the air.
"Wake up sleepy head, the sun is rising and it looks beautiful."
After Slade finished he tipped his head from Bones to look up at the rising sun. It was a little cloudy out this morning and the sun had reflected off them just right to shoot rays of sun in all different colors across the sky. It really was a beautiful start to a hopefully perfect day. Looking back down Slade noticed her starting to wake as he nudged her shoulder softly trying to get her moving just a little faster, eager to show her what he had been doing for the last few hours.

Cunning smile crossing his lips as she arose to her hooves, before he let his voice sound again.
"Well Miss Bones. I have a surprise for you on this lovely morning. If you'd so kindly close your eyes, I'd appreciate it." Slade spoke, almost mysteriously. Though deep down he knew he was doing something right, fixing a wrong he had made. Speaking up again the colorless equine forgot to mention something.
"Oh and grab my tail so you don't get lost." followed by a small chuckle as Slade waited for her to obey before beginning to walk off slowly, so she wouldn't trip or loose hold of his tail as they walked down the backside of the hill to his meadow in the pine trees. Weaving through the trees he was careful to take Bones on only the best path through them so she wouldn't get hurt of course with her eyes being closed.

Suddenly as Slade halted along the edge of the meadow, he felt an overwhelming sense of nervousness come across him. Deeply hoping within his mind that Bones would like what he had done, and that she wouldn't freak either. Letting a small sigh seep from his lips before speaking up once more before letting her open her eyes.
"Before you open your eyes, I want to tell you something Bones. I wasn't truthful with you the other day. I don't like you, a little more then a friend.." His voice trailed off a little bit before regaining it quickly and continuing his speech. "Ever since a met you I knew you were special, destined for great things. You took away the crappiness from my days and always seemed to make me happy even when things were going horrible. When your father took you, I felt like I could die if I lost you. I would have fought your father to the death if I had to just to make sure you would be safe. I know it really hasn't been that long since you've been here, only a few short and seeming to fly by- months. However, in that time I noticed many things about you. You are strong, caring, loving, helpful, willing, kind, beautiful, amazing and you don't let anyone push you around. You speak your mind when you have to, and you could probably lead a herd full of brainless monkeys. Bones, you have the natural ability to be a leader, and an amazing one at that."
Slade then paused for a short moment as he walked to her side, with her eyes still closed, letting his side brush up against hers before nuzzling her neck softly while continuing his sweet heartfelt words. Something many hadn't really heard from this stag.
"In my time of need, between Hael foaling, Andro trying to help but Hael not wanting her nor Tilney there, and then Andro being attacked and me trying to get Friar and Tilney to help... well, that whole time between everything, there was one person I could trust. One person I know could help, one person I knew could be by my side to make it all right... That one person, was you. Bones, you helped me through the craziness and you did it without doubt in me, or any attitude. For that, I can not thank you enough really. But beyond every single word I said so far, theres one more thing that I think triumphs all..."

Standing tall beside her, smiling happily, he finished off.
"You can open up your eyes now."

And there it was, the view before them was the large outlines of hearts that he made from everything gorgeous in the forest that he could find. Pine cones, berries and flowers each joined together to make ring upon ring of heart shape upon the ground and finishing it off, across the middle, it read:
-I love you-

Slade smiled, happy with his creation, and happy that he had been able to speak from his heart without hesitation. He knew he had to just let it all go, and today had been that day. Though he still hadn't asked her to be his mate, he knew he would in the future and that this was hopefully just a amazing stepping stone in their relationship. Speaking up a final time, he added.

"I love you Bones. I do. And I'll do anything to prove that to you from now until the end of time."
Slade then reached down and planted a soft, warm kiss upon her cheek. Sticking his neck out a little there, but hoping it was well accepted...

Bones was sleeping peacefully when she felt someone nudged her and heard a stag’s voice, her sleepy mind taking a moment to realize it was Slade’s velvet voice that was trying to wake her up. A soft groan slipped through her lips, she was tired and she wasn’t ready to wake up. She had finally gotten a good night’s sleep and she never wanted to wake up. Finally her eyes opened to look up at him, snorting softly before getting up. “Good morning…” She mumbled in a sleepy tone, still quite tired and wondering why he was so awake.

“A surprise? Umm…okay…” Bones said softly, a little unsure about this. It was just a bit sudden, and she didn’t know how she felt about being led around by his tail. Of course she trusted Slade, she just didn’t trust herself to not trip over something while she was walking and make a fool of herself. Or accidentally run into something, a whole bunch of things could go wrong actually. She reached out and grabbed his tail before closing her eyes. She really hoped that she wouldn’t fall or make a fool of herself.

Bones stopped when she felt like Slade had stopped, her listening devices perked up when she heard Slade’s voice. She couldn’t open her eyes up, and that was hard for her because she hated surprises. She just wanted to see where they were and what he was doing, but soon her thoughts were silenced as he brought up the other night when she had opened up to him for the first time. She felt like she was holding her breathe as she listened to him, his little pause making her heart stop as she waited for the words he was going to say.

Instead of him saying she was just a friend though, he said words that made butterflies fill her stomach. No one ever said such wonderful and sweet things to her, no one had ever made her feel so special before. She kept her eyes closed as her lips turned up in a smile, warmth spreading through her whole body as his little speech continued. She couldn’t say that she agreed with everything he said, but it didn’t matter. He was making her feel wonderful inside.

When she felt that his body was close to hers she moved a bit closer, liking the feeling of his body against hers. She felt even more comforted when he nuzzled her, she loved that feeling. She exhaled softly in relaxation, listening in content as he talked about the other day when everything had gone wrong. She was listening to what he said when it seemed like he was coming to an end, and she felt the excitement rise in her at the anticipation of this build up. Her eyes opened when the words left her lips, blue eyes focusing on everything that was before her.

The brindle mare took in what he had put before her, and he had to admit that she was speechless. If she could admit it, since all words seemed to be stuck in her throat. What he had made was beautiful, it was absolutely breath taking actually. And the words inside, words that no other stallion had ever felt about her, made her soar. When he spoke the words it sealed the deal for the mare, and his promise following it made her feel comfortable in finally allowing herself to feel the same way and to let her feelings out.

“I love you too Slade,” She whispered softly as she watched him, glancing back at the arrangement he had made. Once the words left her lips she knew that they were true, she knew that what she said was right. She loved him, she had finally let someone in and let herself feel something. “I love you and this is beautiful. And what you said about me…no one has said anything so sweet and heartfelt to me. Thank you so much, for everything. And…I just don’t know what to say other than I love you too Slade,” She said softly before reaching up and planting a kiss on the corner of his lips. She was so happy and thrilled with what had just happened, like she was on a high. She had never felt like this before and she was so happy that she had found someone to open up to and feel this way with.

I love you, Bones...

Slade waited happily as Bones began to open her eyes. The mare seemed to be in total awe of his surprise. Happily, Slade smiled rather largely, his white ivories revealing themselves as he watched her oh so lovingly. Finally, he had gotten his feelings out to her and now was the moment of truth as to if she felt the same. Eagrly waiting her beloved voice, until it graced his listening devices.

“I love you too Slade,” her voice whispered. Before she looked back to the heart upon the ground once again, voice returning to Slades ears as she continued.
“I love you and this is beautiful. And what you said about me…no one has said anything so sweet and heartfelt to me. Thank you so much, for everything. And…I just don’t know what to say other than I love you too Slade,”
She spoke to him, his eye lashing batting at his orbs as he flicked his tail and almost seemed to be prancing on his legs as he shifted his weight happily. Almost unable to contain his excitement any longer. He was warm and fuzzy feeling inside as Bones reached to the side of his lips and planted a kiss across them. Even more over joyed he whinnied happily before looking into the mares gorgeous eyes and letting his voice sound.

"Everything I said m'love. Its all true. No need for a thank you. You are nothing short of the most amazing and beautiful mare I've ever come across." His lips curled back into a smile as he finished, tossed his head a bit sending his shiney white mane flying, still overjoyed at everything that had happen within the last few moments of his life. Looking to the one and only, beautiful Bones beside him, he let his mind wander for a moment, wondering when he'd actually make this whole love connection, official, and ask her to be his mate of course. But also wondering when they would go beyond that, have a foal, lead the herd together, ect. Seeming to be in a somewhat daze as he thought over everything before snapping out of it to return all of his focus back on his -bride-to-be.

Cheerfully and all full of smiles Slade trotted around Bones quickly before letting himself brush back up against the roan mares right side, keeping his newly healed but still pink scar on the far side of the mare. He loved being able to let himself show a bit more affection towards her, and really show her how he felt now that the 'secret' was out between the pair. Ears flicked across his poll as he dipped his head around to the front of her face, slowly easing forward before letting his velvety white lips plant a soft warm kiss right across Bones' lips. A shiver came across his body all at once, but it was a good feeling, a very happy and loving feeling. Something he hadn't been able to quite feel in a long time. One of those things that comes around when life is good and you just never want it to end. That moment was now. The lead wanted to just capture it and everything about it, the emotions, the feelings and save them in his mind forever.

Lips parted as he spoke through an ever growing smile.
"You'll get used to the kisses Bones, You'll be getting alot more love an attention from me from now until I the day I die, so hopefully you'll enjoy every moment of it as much as I will."
Slade was so thrilled that everything had happened just the way he had hoped, Bones said she loved him back and now all the pieces of his messed up life puzzle seemed to start fitting together. The stag was overjoyed as he trotted from Bones' side and to the heart shape he had layed out for her over the past night. Reaching down he grabbed a very pretty mouthful of white flowers with yellow centers. Careful not to destroy the flower ends as he picked them up and brought them to Bones, setting them down at her feet before getting to work. The next thing he did, was something he learned to impress the fillys way back when life was much simpler. Grabbing each flower carefully he bit off the stems until there was just a small piece sticking out from them, Just enough to get almost 'tangled' in a mares mane, so the flower would hold itself in. Carefully, he picked up each flower head between his teeth and wove them as best as he could into Bones' gorgeous flowing mane. Not really having any pattern to it, but just scattering them about her long locks. Finally, he tipped his maw up higher as he reached for her poll to stick the last one right by her ear in her forelock.
When finished, he smiled with delight of his work before his cheery voice picked up towards the mare.
"There. Although even without the flowers, you couldn't look any more beautiful, but now, you look like a queen." Nuzzling her shoulder softly as he inhaled her sweet scent before adding to his words.

"Now, I only hope I am attractive enough to keep you interested." Slade spoke finished by a small laugh, but in his defense, he didn't feel like he was all that much of a looker, and really did deep down  hope that Bones at least saw something in him worth sticking around for.

"Hmm some of the best things?" Slade spoke up, knowing he had so much to mention, but didn't want to crowd her right off the bat. "Well, you get to wake up with my ugly face in yours every morning. No more sleeping alone, so you'll be fully protected 25/7 by yours truly... Hmm. Well you get to love on me, kiss me ect any time you'd like of course. If you like to of course. I'm not some crazy controlling stag either, so do what you please during the day, lets just try to keep all the equines trying to kill you or steal you, out of the daily plan yes?" He said with a smile and a small laugh, all of his words rather cheery and happy as he just enjoyed every moment of it.

Slapping his tail across his legs Slade became a bit frisky, letting his mind wander even for just a quick moment as he wondered what it could be like to mate with her. What the foal would look like too of course. But almost as quick as the idea came into his head, he forced it out. Slade knew he still had to prove to Bones how much she really did mean to him before any of that ever even came into play anyhow. So picking up his hooves he let himself move from her side as he flipped his mane and suggested something to do next.
"Well, in honor of our newly admitted feelings, this gorgeous sunny day, and my love for water... Care to join me, beautiful, for a nice time in the water below the falls?"
Slade waited a few moments for her reply before twitching his bodice and turning his frame toward the north where the crashing liquid was located. "Race you!" Slade spoke quickly before tipping his neck and head down, getting a good launch off his hind quarters and letting himself jolt forward into a nice gallop, however,  slow enough so he could let Bones win. After all, he hated running anyway, and would also love watching Bones from behind as she sprinted ahead of him... Ahh a stallions thoughts..

Slade happiness and excitement seemed to glow through the stallion, and it seemed to be infectious. Bones couldn’t help but to feel as excited and happy as he was, and all the words that spilled through Slade’s lipped seemed to just bubble out. He was saying a lot, and it was a lot to take in, but she believed that most of it would just come with time. She also believed a lot of it would come more naturally when she had spent more time with Slade with their feelings actually showing.

Bones laughed softly as he put flowers throughout her mane, nuzzling him softly at his compliment. “Hmm…why thank you for the beautiful flowers. And you have no need to worry about keeping me interested, you are quite the attractive stag,” She complimented him softly, looking up at him. Slade was the whole package, and she wasn’t even sure how she had managed to get him before anyone else did. He was caring and kind, protective and strong, and he was more than just a looker. She really was a lucky mare.

The brindle mare listened closely as he spoke about kisses and loving on him and always being protected, always having him sleeping next to her. It was a bit different to think about, something she had never had before, but she welcomed the idea of it. She was happy that their feelings were finally out, but it all was a bit overwhelming as well. A joyous overwhelming, but still, everything was changing so fast and only because a few words and a big gesture.

“Hmmm…I hope that there are no more kidnappings or attempted to kill. My mind can only take so many of those,” She said with a small laugh, shaking her head a little. Everything had been a bit crazy around here lately, but she was glad it was slowing down. And she knew now she wouldn’t have to worry because she would have Slade by her side and he would always make sure she was safe. The mare would also be able to sleep soundly as well, she would have no worries if Slade was sleeping right by her. It was also just be nice to have him by her, she found out from last night she actually liked cuddling while sleeping.

Her listening devices perked as more words came from Slade’s lips, a small smile spreading across her lips at his offer. She watched as he declared it a race and ran forward, Bones taking off right behind him. She nipped at him playfully as she passed him, knowing he was being slower on purpose, before speeding up and running in head of him. She ran into the water, laughing a little as the water splashed up around and drenched her brindle coat. The water was nice and cool, quite refreshing on a hotter day.

As she waited for Slade her mind wandered, she couldn’t help but think about what this all meant. If they had proclaimed their love for each other, was it assumed that they were now mates? Would Slade ask her about that or would he just expect a foal? She was too embarrassed to ask such a question, so she was just forced to wonder about it. After the whole Hael deal she didn’t even know if she wanted a foal, though Mouse was cute and adorable. After he was with his mother and not confusing Bones as it. She pushed the thoughts away then, she didn’t need to worry her little mind about such things right now. She just needed to be happy, with Slade, the stallion she loved.

I love you, Bones...

As Slade had placed he flowers in her hair, Bones had made a compliment about his looks, how he was quite attractive. The words stuck in his mind for a while after she had said them, happy to hear them of course from her lips. He didn't believe that he was at all good looking and even though having previous mates it was still something that he was not used to, the compliments on his looks. Happy with the thought however, he kept it in his mind.
Next Slade watched as Bones had shook her head a bit and commented on the whole kidnapping and killing topic. Slade listened intently but just let the comment slide without a reply, however a small chuckle did come from his lips instead. Hopefully, he wouldn't be saving her anymore, but of course, he would in a heart beat if needed.

After announcing his challenge to his love, he had taken off, but slowly enough to hope that Bones ran ahead of him so he could watch her from behind.
Just then, the lead smiled as Bones had passed him, just like he had wanted, her rather pretty butt rippling as she ran while Slade just took in the sight for the moments that he could. Although he hadn't asked her to be his mate yet, he still felt like deep in his heart, that Bones was finally his. For a little while now he had to keep his feelings shut inside him in fear of her not liking that he had feelings for her. However after she grew upset with the last time they had talked, Slade figured it would be best to just let her know, and indeed his intuition was right. He had just come out and told her he loved her and she had said it back, it was one of the best feelings in the world and honestly, he hadn't felt this way with his two previous mates either. Maybe this was a new sign, saying Bones was really the one.

His heart almost skipped a beat as he thought of the great pair they could make, the unstoppable leads with a huge amount of love for each other of course. Still smiling brightly as he trailed behind his love towards the creek. As she neared it she smiled happily and ran right into the cool liquid. Not resiting the inviting water, Slade did the same, happily trailing behind her and launching himself into the water as well. His colorless pelt becoming saturated as his legs splashed around until he finally halted where the water lay lapping at the sides of his belly. Looking to Bones with an inviting smile before letting his vocals float through the air.
"Well my love. I did quite enjoy the scenery during my run to the creek. I must say I'm glad you ran ahead of me. I'll loose everytime just to watch you run." His voice was charming but also joyful as well. Smile beaming across his lips so big that the front of his teeth almost showed through. Slade was truly the happiest stag on earth right now and he wasn't afraid to show it.

He walked over the the brindle mare then, legs trudging though the deep water causing waves in the little pool of water they were in below the waterfall. As he reached her he shoved his face deep in the liquid and pulled it up quickly, sending water splashing all over Bones' face and neck. "Gotcha!" he spoke while laughing before moving his legs once again, this time to move closer to her side while reaching his muzzle out to plant a kiss on her brindle neck. "Did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?" Slade spoke with a warm smile, his mood still over pouring with joy and love for the mare after everything that had happened today. Tipping his head Slade let his eye catch the gaze of her beautiful crystal blue eyes. Then a thought flashed in his mind and without even thinking, he let his words slip right from his mouth.
"I hope our foal as even half as gorgeous eyes as you, dear." Then suddenly he retracted the thought, almost wanting to smack himself in the face if he could for letting his words slip right from his mouth without thinking. Bones probably hadn't even the slightest thought about a foal yet, and now he probably had just screwed that all up and had her worried sick about when they were going to have a foal and  all those other crazy thoughts. Quickly, he stammered and tried to correct his mistake.
"But thats off in the future of course, I mean, I've got to ask you yet if you'd even delight me so much as to be my mate first of course. So I mean, I didn't mean to say that outloud I guess I just let my mind wander for a quick moment. I am terribly sorry for that Bones. I hope you don't think badly of me for getting ahead of myself. I guess I'm just really excited to spend my life with you honestly, once I do ask you to be my mate. But I want that day to be perfect, something you will remember forever and ever...."
Deep down, Slade knew he messed up. Letting his words slip, then his attempt to fix it only seemed to make it worse. Looking down at the water below him he sighed softly before looking towards Bones for her reaction. He was almost out of ideas on what he could do or say at this point to make it a little less awkward. Gripping on to the only hope that Bones didn't get offended or mad about what he said. He'd only hate himself more for screwing up so quickly after just announcing their feelings for one another.

Suddenly, a feint smell of another equine reached his nares, but it was so feint that almost as soon as it had came, it left. Slade had tipped his nose out for just a moment to inhale deeper in attempt to grab the scent again, but with no luck he decided to just shrug it off. Maybe just Andro or Friar headed towards the water again, he figured.

Looking back to Bones, he brought a smile across his face again and blinked his eyelids before dipping his nose back into the water again and sending water flying towards the mare again. Laughing softly he let himself fall down into the water, making a rather large wave, soaking his entire pelt before regaining his footing to stand again. Water trickling off him as he rose to his full height again before focusing back on Bones. Mane flattened and wet upon his neck, and forelock still dripping water down the middle of his badger face. He looked like a wet dog, but smiled anyway and let his charming vocals speak a final time.
"I love you, Bones. Always will." For some reason, the stag couldn't get enough of saying it, he loved it, everytime. Though he knew things would get a little less awkward and more natural as time went on with her, but right now, the sense of new found love was in the air, and Slade was eating it all up.

Softly and in a caring tone, he added. "Bones, I don't want you to get confused or lost in all of this, love and relationship deal. I know I could possibly be the first stallion you've felt like this for, and just know I'm here to help you through all of it. I'll always be by your side and you can always always ask me anything at all. No question is too stupid or dumb to me. If theres anything you are questioning or confused about just ask and I'll always to my best to help you. I'm also a very open book now to you, so any questions you may have personally for me I'd also be happy to answer for you."
His voice was soft and soothing, Slades objective was to make sure Bones knew that they were going into the world soon together and that anything she ever had problems or questions about, she could always ask him. Being scared to confront him or just speak up was always something Slade didn't like much. He'd rather just everyone spit it out and confronted him with problems or concerns. Now here was to hoping that Bones could feel comfortable with him to do that as well.

Bones watched as Slade entered the water, waiting till he was close to her before walking closer to him. She shook her head a little at what he said, laughing before nipping playfully at him. “Hmm…mind of a stallion. I’m glad you enjoyed your view, though you can’t always let me win. That’ll get boring and I want race you anymore,” The mare informed him with a small laugh as she tugged teasingly at his colorless mane.



Bubbles of laughter spilled through her lips as he splashed her, shaking her face as she tried to get all the water off. She flicked her hoof up to splash water on him, laughing again. The brindle mare radiated joy and happiness, the love in the air infectious and over taking. She was in love, the first time she had ever felt this way, and she wouldn’t change a thing. She had waited quite some time, but she had found herself quite a stallion. Slade was well worth the wait. He accepted her for who she was, even with all her quirks and faults.



Before she could thank him for his comment he added another one, but this was one caught Bones off guard. It was about their future foal and having her eyes. She wasn’t sure how to reply, or what really to say to it. Then she watched as he started stumbling over his words and getting nervous, trying to fix what he had just said. Bones reached out to him then, nuzzling his neck softly as she tried to stop him from the little nervous breakdown she was afraid he was going to have.



“Its fine, I’m not mad. I understand your excitement, I’m excited as well. Nervous, but excited. Our foal will be beautiful no matter what, but I would love for our foal to have blue eyes. It’s kind of a family thing. I love you, things will come in time,” She said with a grin as she kissed his cheek. She wasn’t going to get angry over what he said, how could she? She had just told him she loved him, and she knew he thought of the future and moved faster. And though she didn’t think they would have a foal for a while, it was still something nice to think and dream about.



A foal, their own little foal. She was even allowing herself to think about the idea of it for a moment. Slade would make a great father, and hoped she could make a good mother. She wanted it to look like Slade, but have her eyes. It would be perfect, no matter what though. She stopped her thoughts though, they weren’t even mates. They had told each other they loved each other, but not mates. You could love someone and not have foals with them, she just needed to slow down and not get ahead of herself.



The brindle mare glanced up at him as he told her he loved her, smiling at him. “I love you too…” She replied back, she liked the sound of it. She liked when he said it to her, it made her special. It made butterflies flutter in her stomach. This Slade’s tone got serious though, and her blue eyes watched him closely. She swallowed, it was almost like he knew she had been feeling uneasy and has questions she didn’t want to ask him. She hesitated a moment before taking a deep breath, taking the plunge once more.



“Well I was going to ask you about the whole mates thing…if you asked me or if we just assumed that we were mates now that we told each other our feelings. But you already asked that…so I guess I don’t have anymore questions. It’s not that I don’t feel like I can trust you or anything, I just feel…stupid kind of. If that makes sense. I’ve just…I’ve never felt this way and I don’t want know anything about it. I don’t know what to expect or what’s supposed to happen,” She murmured softly as she watched him, hoping that her truthful words wouldn’t make her look stupid in front of Slade.

I love you, Bones...

As Bones spoke, the lead just happily listened. She had mentioned how it wouldn't be as fun if he always let her win, but deep down although Slade knew it was true, he still liked the view. Though, he wasn't much of a runner either, so he also knew there was a good chance that Bones would beat him anyway if she was even slightly inclined in the speed catagory. He loved when she playfully nipped at him and played with him, in a way it turned him on a little, but he knew for now with the feelings between them being so fresh that he would have to keep his sexual mind at bay for a while.

Shifting his weight, he smiled happily still standing in the water while his eyes became almost transfixed on the beautiful mare before him. After he had screwed up with the whole foal comment, his words had become jumbled as he tried to fix his words. Bones must have known his embarrassment on the subject as she had reached out to nuzzle him softly on the neck, which was of course welcomed by Slade always. Looking to her gorgeous blue eyes, she began to talk, and Slade shut up to kindly listen.

“Its fine, I’m not mad. I understand your excitement, I’m excited as well. Nervous, but excited. Our foal will be beautiful no matter what, but I would love for our foal to have blue eyes. It’s kind of a family thing. I love you, things will come in time,”

Bones had spoke before planting a nice warm kiss on his cheek. Slades smile grew even wider as he looked back to her and reached out to place a nice kiss on her lips before answering her back softly. "You never cease to amaze me, my love. I want to be able to talk to you about anything, and well, thank you, this is a great start. I guess I just got a little excited, but like you said our foal will be beautiful like you, or handsome like me. I know it." He said with a small laugh as he stood taller and swung his tail about, trying to make himself look like what a real handsome stag would look. All the while smiling and laughing ever so softly.

His voice then picked up as he nuzzled her neck. "And no reason to be nervous, I will take care of you always, I've assisted in many births and have the ermm. Other experience that is necessary. When time comes, everything will be amazing. I promise." As in other experience, Slade was referring to sex, of course, but didn't want to come flat out and just say it. Though he probably should have, too late now.

Her voice picked back up as she gulped after slade had mentioned about the whole, you can talk to me thing. He waited and was glad she actually was going to speak up and say something. Slade really did appericate communication in a relationship, and with Bones being so new to the whole thing, it would only help things for the both of them. He truly loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but like anything in order to work out both parties needed to work together, no secrets. Ears perked as he listened to her sweet voice.
As she finished up, Slade understood her concern and that was why he had mentioned it like he had. Smiling, he kissed her one more time upon the lips before moving right to her side, wanting to be close to her and comforting as he explained how things like this usually work.

"Well, I see your concerns and questions, everything will be fine I promise. This is why I mentioned it, I knew you should have at least a few questions about it all of course, and not one of them will ever be stupid, I'll answer anything and help you right through this. From now on, if you'll allow me, we will face the world together. As for your questions, well, usually when equines confess their feelings yes, it usually leads to mates right away, or rather quickly at least. However, I wasn't sure how you'd feel when I did tell you my feelings so I didn't ask yet.. I want us to become mates when you are ready. You are what matters most to me now and I am not going to push you into something. I know this is all new to you, and I want to prove to you I will be here for you, always. So it will come, soon I'm sure, but will also give you a little bit of time incase you have any doubts at all about me." He paused for a moment, soft loving look on his face as he rubbed the side of his cheek across the mares brindle withers and down her pretty brindled neck. Tipping his nose out, he whispered softly in her ear. "I love you more then you can ever imagine my dear."
After his words, he smiled and tapped her on the side with his nose, motioning for her to follow him out of the water and into the meadow beside it. The grass was lush and rich there and would make the perfect place to graze and still talk together. With feelings being this new, everything was so exciting, Slade truly loved every minute of it.

Reaching down the stag grabbed a mouthfull of the rich green grass, chewing it before letting his deep charming voice ring again.
"As for, the whole process. Usually, become mates first, then either that season or next season mating happens. Then the stallion should do everything in their power to make the mares life easier while they carry the foal. The following spring, whala! Baby time." His voice sounding almost excited as he went through the usual process so Bones would know, and maybe feel more comfortable. Though, his voice resumed rather quickly as he mentioned a little bit of his history.
"I'm not sure if you would consider it a blessing or a curse, that I have had a previous mate. But, I guess with that comes the experience to help you?"

He spoke with a sweet smile as his ears flicked and tail swatted at the flys before dipping his head once more to grab a bite to eat, chewing it before releasing his voice one final time.
"Though, I do know, I love you Bones more then I've ever loved anyone before." loving warm smile covering his maw as he looked to her gorgeous body.

Bones listened to every word he spoke, being patient and not speaking while he got everything out that he had to say. Even though he believed there was no reason to be nervous she was still rather nervous, it didn't matter the experience things could still go wrong. Things went wrong with Hael and she didn't even think they were going to make it for a while. No one had any control over what had happened, and that worried her to death. Not that she was pregnant right now, but it was something that would happen in the future and a worry that would be even greater than. 

Once he started to explain how everything would go with their shared feelings and mates she felt a little better. The brindle mare felt less pressure about the whole thing when he said that he would not be rushing her or anything. That made her feel better, because the whole 'I love you' was the biggest step Bones had ever taken and she was still trying to take it all in. Though everything sounded nice, them being together and a having a cute little family while she helped him lead this ever growing herd, she couldn't help but think it was all too good to be true. She came into this place just looking for a place to sit down and rest for a while, she never stuck around before this, and now she had Slade and all the opportunity in the world to have what she wanted. 

"I have no doubts in you my dear, and I won't ever have any doubts in you. You won't ever have to worry about that Slade, I love you and I always will," She said with a small grin as she leaned forward to kiss him. She leaned on him softly before she followed him out of the water and onto the nice lush grass. She still felt like butterflies were swarming in her stomach, and she hung on every word that Slade spoke with excitement and joy. She had found someone that she wanted to spend forever with, and that thought excited her. Her tail swayed easily in the warm breeze that started to dry her pelt, just enjoying the moment and the love that seemed to buzz between the two. They would be together and have a family, they could start one right now if she really wanted to. She knew Slade would not object. 

Bones pushed that thought away, though she was in heat of course, there was no need for a baby right now. They had just shared their feelings with each other and everything was so fresh, and she was so inexperienced at everything. Though Slade was not, she still felt she needed to know more before welcoming a little one into the world. She looked up at him as he began speaking again, nodding her head. "Helping is good, I am sure I will need a lot of that," She said with a small laugh before hearing what he said. "I love you as well Slade....more than you will ever know," She said with a sweet grin turning up the corners of her lips. 

Dropping her head to grab some grass, she allowed her mind to wander and think of everything. Any dream she could have of Slade could now be turned into a reality, all she had to do was tell them and they could do it together. "Everything is going to be wonderful Slade. Us and this herd and our future little family. Our little foals will have a wonderful group of horses to grow up with in this beautiful place...it's really just perfect," She mused softly, the feeling of love really getting to the brindle mare as she glanced over at him with a grin before she started to eat again.

Oops, sorry bones!...

As Slade listened to the beautiful voice of Bones, he was at peace with himself. Bones seemed to relax a bit as he had explained how the whole mates and breeding thing goes, just her stance and mind seemed to get a bit more at ease. She mentioned having no doubts in Slade but that only brought out a sneaky type smile to his face. After she spoke about it, he added in his own words.
"Ah but forever is a long time there dear Bones, so that is, if you can stand me that long!"
Lips curling up as he let a small laugh excape his vocals before playfully reaching back to Bones rump and nipping it ever so softly. Ah, how her body was so perfect.

Slade then watched as Bones gave a small nod and spoke about how helping was good and how she would need it, but Slade then let himself cut in for a moment before she could get much more out.
"You say that now dear Bones, however when the time comes everything else will just come to you naturally. No one was born with experience and its not always experience you need, if you truly love someone it is something that is nothing short of amazing, you will see one day." Finishing with a soft smile as he then let Bones finish what she was saying.

This time she mentioned how life was going to be good between him, her and their little family eventually. This brought joy to Slade's heart as she spoke it. No knowing really that she was on board for a future family, and well the way she had said it, not only planning on having one foal, but maybe even more then that! His heart seemed to start beating out of his chest for a small moment as he pressed his left rib cage up agaisnt the mares right side, loving the feeling of her being so close and him physically being able to touch and caress her without any doubts now. As she dipped her head back down the graze, Slade let his deep voice sound for another moment, continuing the conversation.

"So beautiful!!" He spoke in an excited manner. "Are you excited to become a lead mare?! The one and only lead mare, of course." He threw in, just because he couldn't remember if he had mentioned at all to her yet about how he was a stallion of only one mate and was not interested in having any more mares after him besides Bones now.
His ivories showing as he pulled back his lips and began to scratch the brindle mares withers in a nice loving and massaging manner. He figured it was the least he could do for his new love and was hoping it would relax her even more. However as he rubbed his teeth up and down her gorgeous pelt he couldn't help but let the sweet scent of her being in heat flow into his nostrils. As he stood beside her, touching her rib cage while still scratching her, he let his mind wander into more happy and pleasurable thoughts... and without even realizing, his manhood began to slowly drop beneath him. There he was, right next to the mare he had just told he loved, already flaunting his stuff but without even noticing it. Though you really couldn't blame a guy who was all over his new found love, but, as soon as Slade snapped out of fantasy land and noticed what was happening he tried as hard as he could to get things to get back up out of view where they should be for now, but with all the thoughts that had gone through his mind and the amazing mood Bones seemed to have him transfixed in, well, it was harder then he had thought.
Smiling in a goofy manner Slade let a small sigh escape his lips as he stopped scratching her and looked into her eye before letting out his apology, while still dragging his mind away from his thoughts as his manhood began to hide away again.
"Sorry for the peep show Bones, but you are just so beautiful, I need to start keeping my mind in check. I'll try to not let it happen again until the moment is right and you are ready, there is no rush, we have nothing but time now."
Following his words he dipped his head and looked back over the hillside towards the herd, their herd. Smile taking over his lips as he let out a happy whinny to all whom could hear him.

Bones headed back to the little waterfall with Slade after helping the foal, still on a high from everything that had happened. She felt terrible for the little foal but being able to help him and comfort him made her feel so much better, and it just made the whole day that much better. And Slade was just so good and comfortable around foals, it was like he didn't even have to think about it. And she loved that about him. 
She walked up to his side, rubbing up against him a bit. "You were so amazing with Azir, you're going to be an amazing dad in the future," She commented quietly as she nipped playfully at his ear and then walked in front of him. She walked over to the waterfall and dipped her head down and took a long drink, enjoying the cool liquid. Slade really was going to be an amazing father, she had full confidence in that. 
The brindle mare lifted her head up as she looked around a little, going to chew on some grass as she thought about everything. She replayed some of there conversations as she ate, everything about his love and their feelings and then their future foals. Foals he was willing to wait for, but foals she wanted right now. But after seeing him with Azir and work so confidently while Hael was giving birth, she knew he was going to be a wonderful father and she knew she wanted that. 
Bones lifted her head up and trotted over towards Slade, rubbing her cheek against his. "I want a foal Slade. I don't want to wait for one. You're wonderful with foals and you'll be a wonderful father, and I want a family. I know I don't have a lot of experience, but I know I want a foal. We are going to make a family in the future anyway, and today is just...perfect. I want to make this day even more perfect, if such a thing is even possible. I want to start our family, and I would really like to start our family right now..." She whispered softly to him as she pulled teasingly on his mane. 
Her voice was dead serious though, because she really did want to start a family with him. She didn't want to wait till he asked to be her mate or longer down the road, because she wanted the foal now. She wanted a family and she wanted nothing more than to have that with Slade. Something she hadn't had before, but something she wanted as soon as possible. It was going to be perfect, and they were going to be perfect. 

Love is in the air!...

As Slade walked back from the encounter with Azir he kept right up with Bones side. Letting his pelt ever so often rub up against her gorgeous brindle one. They were walking back to the falls to spend more time together. This love had been going on for just a few seeming short weeks and Slade still knew he had yet to ask Bones to officially be his mate. Though, after what had happened with Azir, and him loosing his mother, it really made Slade want to ask Bones soon. However thoughts flooded through his mind about rejection. What if Bones wasn't ready for a commitment like that. Being Slade's mate, and being the lead mare. It would be a huge undertaking and responsibility, and also true love.

As they neared the falls Slade walked off to the side of Bones and reached his head down to the earth to take a quick bite of grass. When he picked up his head to chew, he felt a rub against his side from Bones and welcomed it kindly. And then, her sweet voice sounded. "You were so amazing with Azir, you're going to be an amazing dad in the future,"
Slade smiled, happily at the words she spoke. He looked her in the eyes for just a quick moment before the playfully nipped at his ear. Still smiling widely, Slade laughed and nipped back at hers before she walked away to get a drink. While drinking, he stayed put, but let his voice sound. "Nah, you were the amazing one my love. You knew he was in trouble and got right there to help. You will make the best mother in the whole world, I can guarantee it!" His voice, happy and excited to even be saying those words. His blue eyes watched the mare as she then moved over to a new place to eat, after her drink. He loved this, just spending time with her was so calming and perfect. Slade was attached to Bones at the hip and any equine with eyes would be able to tell it. He loved her more then anything in the world right now. Blinking slowly he curled his velvet lips into another content and loving smile while watching her graze. Ever so often, dipping his head down to also grab a bite to munch on. Life was good.
Suddenly, the mare was trotting towards Slade and then greeting him with her cheek rubbing against his. Slade welcomed the gesture by rubbing back, but what she opened her mouth to say next threw Slade completely off guard..
"I want a foal Slade. I don't want to wait for one. You're wonderful with foals and you'll be a wonderful father, and I want a family. I know I don't have a lot of experience, but I know I want a foal. We are going to make a family in the future anyway, and today is just...perfect. I want to make this day even more perfect, if such a thing is even possible. I want to start our family, and I would really like to start our family right now..."

Slade's eyes seemed to widen twice as big while she spoke, his jaw almost seemed to fall from the hinges as he tried to gather all the words she had just spoke. He was stunned for a moment, speechless. Unsure of what to say, or how to react. It almost seemed like yesterday that Bones was concerned about how everything worked in a relationship because she was new to it all. Always worried too that she wouldn't be doing something right. Though Slade knew she would pick up into the whole relationship world easy, but this was something he hadn't expected for a long while. He thought he would have to wait quite some time before Bones was ready to go that far. But nope, not now. Here she was, happy as ever talking about going off to make a baby, right now, today.  Her words were soft and easy as she then pulled on his mane for a moment, Slade still speechless. It took a few moments for him to gather his words, and his posture. Though when he did, you can just sense the excitement as well as surprise in his voice. Features now changed to an excited vibe as he began to let his voice go.
"Wow beautiful. I must say, that one really surprised me!" He paused, letting in a small, but kind laugh before letting himself continue.
"Are you sure your ready? Are you sure this is what you want? I just don't want you to feel pressured, or pushed into anything. Everything I do now in life will be for you and I want to make sure this is something you really want, and now." He paused, eyes catching her gorgeous blue ones as he looked deep into them and smiled warmly before continuing.
"If this is something you are sure of, then I'm all for it! You will make an amazing mother Bones, it will all come naturally to you, like taking care of Azir did. You know I want a family too, that I have tried for it in the past. It's always been something I have longed and dreamed of. So if this is something you are serious about, then by all means, lets start a family!" his voice growing even more excited towards the end of his sentence. Still, heart beating, mind still blown out of the water of how this even all came up in Bones mind, but whatever the reason, he was now really excited. Ears twitched atop his cranium as he thought of what to do next. Letting himself inhale the sweet scent of Bones in heat was first. Mind drifted as he thought of the perfect place to go.
The falls of course. Dipping his head to kiss Bones on her neck and then letting out a happy whinny before swishing his tail and trotting off towards the falls. Looking back, he flipped his head and motioned Bones to follow him. Smiling, he thought of the perfect plan.
Dashing into the water and across the stream until he was beside the falls, and then walked carefully behind the water into the gorgeous cave behind it. Lowering his head, Slade dropped down on one knee, smiling warmly. As Bones entered the secluded and private place, his voice spoke.
"Bones, my love. Will you make me the happiest stallion on the planet and become my mate?" His large blue eyes looking deeply into hers...

Bones watched him carefully, though for quite some time he seemed way to shocked to even say anything. And she didn't blame him, because this all sort of came out of no where. Before she was so unsure, and now she wanted a family. Finally she listened to every word that came from his mouth, clinging to the sweet words that filled her ears. 
She knew that he thought she would be a wonderful mother, and she could only hope that that was the truth. Though with Slade by her side she knew she could do anything, and she knew that if she would ever need help than he would be more than ready to help her and he would always be by her side. She could do anything with him, like raise a wonderful little family with him. 
The brindle mare let him get out everything he had to say before nodding her head. She wanted to explain everything to him, exactly how she felt but she couldn't put her feelings into words. She was struggling to find the right words when he kissed her neck and started to trot off. She was a bit confused, she didn't even get to answer his question and she thought she would run from this first, but then he motioned for her to follow and she quickly did so. 
She trotted quickly after him, cantering through the falls before breaking through into the cave and stopping immediately as she saw Slade. A large grin was on her face as she heard his words before walking up to him. She rubbed his cheek as he stood up and then gave him a kiss, "I want nothing more than to be your mate Slade. I'm more than sure and confident that I want a foal with you. We're going to make wonderful parents and I just know this is the right time. I've been thinking about it since the moment you told me you loved me, and after being with Azir I just know I want a foal," She whispered quietly as she kissed him. 
The brindle mare knew how to completely wrap him into the moment, so she nipped playfully at his neck as she walked forward. Her tail swished back and forth and she released her scent into the air, knowing the already weak Slade wouldn't be able to resist her now. They were going to make a baby, and they were going to have a perfect little family.

Mating time rated R!!!...

The big colorless brute stayed down on one knee until his lovely lady answered his question. The question of all questions. Weather Bones would become his mate or not. But as she neared him he rose, welcoming a loving rub across his cheek from her. Happily, her voice then filled his listening devices, Slade taking each word the mare spoke slowly into his brain. This was a moment he had been waiting for, for quite some time now.
"I want nothing more than to be your mate Slade. I'm more than sure and confident that I want a foal with you. We're going to make wonderful parents and I just know this is the right time. I've been thinking about it since the moment you told me you loved me, and after being with Azir I just know I want a foal,"

Slade couldn't help but let a large beaming smile fill his velvet lips as Bones soft voice had touched every warm fuzzy spot in the large brutes bodice. Words she spoke followed by a warmly accepted kiss of course. It was like Slade was in heaven. He had found the perfect mare to spend the rest of his life with and didn't want anything more then what was happening right now. Sure, he was also lead stallion with an amazing herd standing behind him, but now everything finally came together. Finally, the way he wanted his life to be. Warm fuzzy hearted and all, Slade then began to think of how the rest of his night would go. The whole, breeding deal of course. Though, he didn't have to think long as Bones was already playfully ahead of him. It was almost like Azir had turned Bones upside down. Before him, Bones seemed quite content the way things were going and not wanting to rush into anything, but after him.. Wow, she was a totally new mare. However, it was nothing to argue with, Slade was actually in debt to that little colt now for all this.
Happy thoughts began to spin through his head as his gorgeous mate began to play around and squirt her sweet in season scent right in Slades face.

His smile only grew as he inhaled deeply and then let his top lip rise up as he tipped his nose and mouth up into the air, enjoying every moment of this. It had been so long, and truthfully, he missed it. However, what stallion wouldn't? Heart beginning to beat faster, Slades baby maker began to descend from its prison. Slade stepped forward towards Bones rear end spoke softly to the mare before making a move, he wanted to make sure she was completely comfortable with this and knew every step of what he was doing. He wanted her to be able to enjoy herself instead of over thinking the whole process. "Ok love. I'm going to be back here sniffing around and getting you a bit excited before I go and put anything anywhere yet. If its making you uncomfortable, just let me know. This is all about you and your comfort my love." His voice was slow and sweet as he then began to take his nose and rub it all over her haunches. Not anywhere near her sweet spot yet, but just getting her into the motion and feeling of Slade being behind her, and the different feelings that she would start experiencing. Softly, he rubbed her a little with his ivories before covering them with his lips and then began to travel into Bones previously uncharted waters. His nose rubbing against her private area ever so softly and with care. Slowly, Slade began to use his tongue just a little bit too. Every so often looking up towards Bones front end to make sure she was still comfortable.
Relaxed, but excited at the same time of course. Finally he was getting to fullfill his dream of a family, and with the perfect mare at that. Smiling, Slade walked to Bones side and rubbed her neck softly before placing a kiss upon her cheek. His baby maker was now fully descended and hard, ready to breed. With one final kiss Slade then walked back behind Bones and spoke once again before going any further.

"Alright my darling, now here is the moment of creating another life, the moment we start our family." he nuzzled her hip for a moment before continuing. "It will hurt a little in the beginning, but that is normal. As I slide in and out the pain will decrease until the moment is filled with pure pleasure. If you don't like anything at all, please do tell me." There was a moments pause then for her to answer back before Slade did the deed. "I love you with all my heart my darling." He spoke before rubbing his nose across her rump while lifting himself off the ground and on to Bones haunches. Carefully and lovingly he let himself slide up onto her back further until he was in position. Then with a kiss to her withers he slowly entered her body, thrusting with care ever so slowly and easy. The moment was magical, Slade was happy to be satisfied once again of course, like any stallion would. The moments seemed to almost fly by even though it had been a good couple minutes, but then the moment came where Slade finished. Deep inside Bones as he gave his final thrust.
A few moments passed by that he just rested on Bones, but then quickly and easily he dismounted from the mare, baby maker swinging from his belly, super enlarged now. Slade smiled softly towards Bones and walked calmly up to her side, dragging his velvet muzzle across her whole bodice before reaching her cheek and softly kissing it. Then, Slade looked deep into her eyes, he wanted to try and judged how she liked it, or didn't like it for that matter. But the real thing to be thinking of, was the fact that there was a good chance they just created a life. The life of a foal that belonged to both of them. Just those thoughts made a wildly large smile come across Slades lips even more so then before. Quickly, he planted a few more kisses all over Bones head before speaking softly and lovingly towards his mate.
"You are my forever Bones. You and this foal." Finishing with a soft nuzzle on her neck and a quick tug at her mane before swishing his tail, baby maker now almost tucked away once again. Now, he awaited his loves next moves. Would she want to still stay up here by the falls and hang with him? Or maybe should they go visit the herd, announce their joining as mates? Any choice, Slade would easily follow the love of his life.
