she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. Ari grinned with new-found energy, limbs aching silently as she finally acknowledged the stress she generally put on them. Her neck twisted unnaturally as it did, listening with exhilarated senses. The mare had traveled long, before she'd run into Mayhem in the envious land, so new scents and faces were not something she was foreign to.
Shifting her weight left and right, Ariado swung her tail behind her, trying with subtle ease to swat at Fear's ribs, who paralleled her at Mayhem's flank. She took her lead stallion's orders without much thought, focusing her attention on the odd trees and brush that layered the land. It varied severely from the barren envious lands and she found it fascinating.
The mare swung her head, careful to drape her forelock over her lost eye, leaving no indication of any handicap. She followed behind Mayhem with her common distant demeanor, failing to acknowledge the other horses that lay out in front of the small envious herd. Her gaze immediately flitted around the tree branches, searching out the source of the faint flapping noise that whispered to her ears. Her breathing sounded labored and heavy, ears flipping wildly back and forth in excitement.

If you couldn't be loved the next best thing was to be let alone. Brigid did not like the large gathering of horses, she didn’t know if it was actually because of the horses or because of Caruso’s uneasy behavior. She just wanted to get away from everyone, except for Caruso, and go back to the easy conversation that they were having earlier. It was much easier to talk to him when he wasn’t so tense, but she didn’t see that happening until they were far away from this ever growing group.
Her listening devices perked when Caruso whispered to her, her body already starting to relax as the thought of getting away from here became real. They were leaving, they could go back to their normal conversation and there random walks. Her light covered hooves started the first few steps to get out of here, but the next voice chilled her to the bone and caused her to freeze.
The champagne mare nipped at Caruso, feeling a slight panic as she heard the voice and saw the horse it belonged to. He had envious written all over, from his voice to the very way he looked. Her brown eyes spotted the other two horses behind him, and she could feel herself starting to panic. They were envious, and just the looks in their eyes made her believe they had a plan of what they would be doing to this group.
Bri took a step closer to her perlino protector, their sides touching as she stood there and waited for his next move. She didn’t know what to do, but she knew Caruso would have the answers. Running was her first instinct, but she didn’t want to be separated from him and give anyone the chance to follow after her and get her alone. She just hoped Caruso could get them out of this would nothing happening to them. If she could get out of here with him by her side still, she would feel better. words: 322 tagged: a lot notes: her perlino protector <3 FEAR ITSELF
The black stallion followed lazily behind Mayhem, not close to him nor was he flanking the idiot. The only reason he was even gracing these two with his presence was so he could end up disappearing in the fight they were deciding to start. The more he trotted forward, the more his anger towards the two grew. Mayhem believe he owned both of them, and the mare was just annoying and attention seeking. Neither of which he liked. Maybe in this little mix up he would accidentally confuse one of them with a light horse, ending their petty existence with a quick movement. Or maybe on fatal blow that would make their death slow. No, the first thing he was doing was getting rid of this mark on his shoulder, he refused to be marked as the property of another horse. Fear still couldn’t believe Mayhem thought he was going to get anywhere in the way he was trying to lead a herd, especially a herd of envious horses. He slowed to a stop as he caught up with Mayhem and Ari, his blue eyes landing on the figures of the other horses. Three stallions and two mares. The grey mare caught his attention, she was beautiful. Everything about her screamed perfection, and every part of him wanted her. That was his goal, that was his mission. He was going to take that mare, and he was going to run from this envious group. He would make that mare his, because he could already tell she was special. Nothing would happen to her during this, or he would kill who ever touched her. ¶ words -- 273 | notes – Fear is in love…

Calm
It was a feeling so amazing that Andromeda’s lips curled into a cheerful smile. Though being alone was not her favorite, she felt at ease here in the barren forest, which had been stripped for the fast-approaching winter. Her dapple gray coat was fluffy; making her look bigger than she was but keeping her toasty. Her mane had bits of frost clinging to the ends and clacked together as she walked. She didn’t mind though; winter was her favorite season. She moved at an easy pace, her giant hooves crunching the dead brown leaves below her. She was much larger than most equines in the area, which she knew. It kept predators back and protected her from the fights she dreaded…but she sometimes wished she looked as appealing and petite as other mares around her. She stood a giant 16.2 hands, had big rocks, and a stocky build. Andromeda was not agile in the slightest, was terribly slow, and was only appealing in that she was gorgeous; her coat was a shiny dappled gray, her face proportionate, and her eyes always glowed merrily. Andromeda sighed, trying to make her thoughts move past her flaws and onto the beauty around her. Though the trees were dormant and life was sleeping, the flakes of snow gave the world around her an attractive glow. The trees’ limbs were frosted over, the ground was covered in flurries, and the rivers were frozen, making the sunlight glimmer over it.
Only at the idea of water did she realize how thirsty she actually was. She began to trot towards a water source she knew well. As she moved, her nares began to catch the scent of other equines. Andromeda stopped and sniffed the air. There were five stallions around her, and about three mares. A herd? In loner lands? She thought quietly to herself. No. Not with that many stallions. Something isn’t right. Andromeda swallowed and followed the scents, careful to be quiet. She found a place hidden by trees, scoping out the others around her. A dun, two black, a perlino, and a cremello stallion stood, all looking fiercely stand-offish. The dun had a look in his eye; a look Andromeda knew all too well: the look of pure evil. She began to shake, although she was not cold. Envious stallions were villainous...she knew it better than anyone. The perlino stallion looked protective over a charming white mare with champagne colored patches. It was obviously his mare. Behind the ebony stallion with dark eyes was a bay mare and the other coal-colored stag. The three looked menacing – of Envious blood no doubt. Standing alone was a stunning dapple-gray Arabian. She was with no stud, so she was alone; in danger of being captured. But she looked fast, cunning; Andromeda had no doubt that she would be able to escape if danger came her way. Through the trees the large mare watched, her body tense, lobes perked. She watched in fear that a brutal fight would break out between the agitated stallions. The femme could tell that the Envious were gearing up for a battle with every rigid move they made. Her sweet nature made her easy bait; she knew that very well. So keeping hidden was her best option for now.

| Zakiun Ruh|| The stallion listened calmly and nodded slightly as response to Caruso’s remark. The question seemed like a rhetorical one so an actual response did not seem necessary. He watched the Perlino stallion shift uncomfortably as the champagne mare huddle close to her “protector”. Perhaps the two of them had become close acquaintances before meeting up with the dun and the grey equine. Although, judging the pair’s responses, they were still new to each too. Zakiun lifted his head slightly, looking to the left and then the right as he took a new scent. An unpleasant one for that matter and maybe some more trailed the “visitor”.
|| It was not long before a vision of black came strolling out of the coward’s shadows. He stood at a height shorter than Zakiun and seemed to be younger than him as well; however the Cremello did not like the smirk that stretched across his maw. He turned his attention to the newcomer as he spoke for a moment before the smell of a new mare stumbled upon the gathering equine. Although, she did not reveal herself like the others had. Most likely because she could sense the unsettled feeling between all of them, even he did not appreciate the sudden shift.
|| The stallion turned his attention back to the black stranger; his light green eyes glanced over the youngling’s scarred coat as he took a few steps towards him. “These lands are for the loners that roam here,” Zakiun responded with vocals that held a medium tone and were smooth as silk, “not for you and your band to run amuck in.” He stood still after speaking, waiting to react. The stallion was not trying to start a fight; however, he did not want some young Envious punks stirring more trouble were it was not needed either.

feel the pain?* Wait until you can't feel it anymore, close your eyes and let me do my business. Your life won't last much longer so you better remember the good times now. Just as Caruso and Bri started walking away a familar scent reached the dun stags nares, the envious herd he had caught whiff of over the mountain not long ago had finally showed up on the scene of the equines. No longer could he really keep his cool, but he tried. All of this was boiling down to pure chaos and this stag's blood was pumping to start it all. It had been a while since he had been involved in some real brutal envious action, far to long indeed. A small sneer tugged at his lips as his opticals didn't release from where Caruso and Bri had walked off into the woods. They had only gotten a few steps before the envious walked right by them so Doc knew all he would have to do was separate the mare from the stallion and torture her however his sick mind pleased. All the while the rest of the loner crowd would be tangled up with each other and no one would even realize what he was doing until it was too late.
Deep dark thoughts circled his head while he thought about how he wanted to go about all this. So many sick fantasies danced among his cranium as he almost seemed to be in a daze from the rest of the outside world. That was until he heard the charcoal black stallion speak up. The words he emitted made Doc chuckle as the question the stag asked was so pointless, so stupid. /What do we have here?/ were those words. The dun brute shifted his weight and took his eyes off the direction of the pair for a moment while he heard another voice break the silence. This time the voice belonged to the creamello stallion whom had finally decided to speak up. Doc listened to what he had to say, time time while his gaze shifted between the new arrivals, Pixie and the creamello. However, what did come out of the stags mouth made Doc chuckle even more then the black stag had. /Run amuck/ haha, he must think of himself as sophisticated or something. Doc thought to himself as he looked off into the distance once more before switching his attention to the group and voicing his cruel wise ass opinion. His voice was almost taunting and rude as he released his words. First, directed at the new black stag and his minions.
"Hahah! What do we have here? Gee, I don't know, I see unicorns and rainbows!! Oh and little minions scattered about! Awwhh how cute!" Doc couldn't help but stop and laugh at his own smart comment. The stag with the minions following him looked like a stallion of fake power. He looked like a brute who wanted to be rough and tough and probably did kill many, but also couldn't amount to the experience and wisdom an older horse like Doc had. The dun only had so much of an attention span for a young envious stag and his posse.
Now, his attention turned to the creamello. He stepped forward towards him a few paces before stopping and yet again opening his mouth to release some more not so welcoming and nice comments. "A muck!! haha. I have never heard such sophisticated terms for intruders. But hey, if thats how your cookie crumbles have at it Mr. Lone Wolf. This is the wild in case you missed the memo, shit happens but thats when the fun starts." With that, Doc parted ways with the group, headed right towards Caruso and Bri however, he couldn't leave without one more thing, stopping to say goodbye to the pretty little flirty mare he had met there in the first place. As he neared her side he reached out and nuzzled her neck while his nares filled with her sweet scent. He wanted so badly to just forcebreed her, right here, right now, even if she wasn't in heat but duty called on a more pressing, more rewarding task at hand. Smirk crossing his face he spoke to her softly. "It would have never worked out between us darling, I'm sorry." Right then, he went to leave but something else caught his eye. One of the blacks hunchmen, another black stag had gotten his eyes hung up on Pixie and Doc didn't miss the stare. He grinned deviously and turned his gaze back to Pixie, his voice soft again. "But, there might be hope for you yet, Pixie. That envious black stallion has his eyes on you, the minion, not the leader. Goodluck with that!" Deep down her knew it was probably a recipe for disaster, the stag probably wanted the mare like he would want most any mare. Just as a prize, a way to drop more foals on the ground, a status symbol and a way to torture the souls of the stags that love them. This was his plan now, but not for Pixie, oh no. His menacing plan was for Bri and now he was going to put it in motion.
Doc turned away from Pixie as his voice beamed out a final time, though he didn't look back but continued forward into the woods. "Adios losers!" He was going to get himself a heartbroke stag and a prize mare, oh one of his favorite pastimes! Doc's charcoal hooves beat across the ground as he almost marched into the woods, however he veered off the path that Caruso and Bri took, meaning to cut them off. Only to his surprise, he came across yet another mare lurking in the woods. However, his mission was set and he spoke out to her while in passing, not wanting to delay his cruel happiness any longer then needed. "Goodluck!" His voice was sarcastic and menacing as he almost intended to scare the mare. No, not almost... he did mean to scare her. Why not? There was a herd full of rank ugly young envious with probably raging testosterone passing though, and a one eyed mare who seemed creepy enough to any pure horse he was sure. So how could this passer by NOT be worried? Anyway, he shrugged off the large dapple grey mare as his feet kept pulling him along the woods to his real destination.
Slowing down, Doc became sneaky. These were the moments that he was waiting for. Devious smile planted across his black maw as he carefully danced though the trees and light snow on the ground, approach was everything. As a light wind blew though the trees he caught the smell of them to the east of him so he set his course accordingly and headed east to cut them off. There they were, still huddled together, like scared rats in a trap. This was his opportune moment, his line of sight to victory. With a devious laugh he stepped out from some brush and glared right though both horses eyes, like he was looking right into their souls. Without hesitation he opened his maw to speak to the close knit pair as he released his gaze from the perlino and studied the physique of the champagne paint mare instead. She was to be his prize at the end of the battle. "So there Caruso, you left so fast, did you see the small herd of pathetic looking envious walk in? I bet your happy to see me then right? Got away from those other scary and mean looking horses?" He paused and began to circle the pair, still his eyes fixated on the mare.
"Awh how cute, like two peas in a pod. I think theres room for a third!" Without a moments notice the dun stallion was behind them and pushing his way right between the pair, trying to split them up so he could take care of Caruso and then have the mare to do whatever his sick mind wanted to do to her. He was pleased with his plans, now it all just had to fall into place. So far, it was working, his bodice rubbed between Carusos and Bri's until he leaned real hard into Caruso and swung his head around to bite the stag hard in the rib cage. Blood seeped out from the wound as hair and flesh stuck in Doc's ivories. So far so good. He kept his focus on the fight he had just started and hoped the blood he had drawn from biting Caruso would keep the mare from butting into the fight. He had hoped to take Caruso out first and then have the mare to himself. However, he didn't want to kill the stag, only knock him out, so when he woke and his mare was gone, he could live with that torture forever. Quickly he switched his gaze to Bri and stepped back one stride from Caruso, but one stride closer to Bri. His oh so charming voice interrupting the silence once again before the battle would start.
"Oh Caruso, you better fight hard, your little mare here is quite a lady, she would make a fine mate for me."
Rotten. Rotten to the core with sick thoughts that dun stag was. The calm before the storm was about to end. Doc's blood was boiling, pumping... he was ready for a good time and a good breeding too. Fixated on Caruso's bodice now, he snicked and charged.

If you couldn't be loved the next best thing was to be let alone. Brigid happily followed Caruso out of that mess, and not a single scratch was put on them. She knew she was right to put her trust in him, he really did know what to do. She still stayed close to him though, as long as they were still in hearing following distance of the envious horses that were about to do only God knew what to the group they had just left. She felt bad for them, but not bad enough to stay behind and see how they all got out.
“Thank you…for everything. If I had wandered upon them myself I have no idea what I would have done,” She muttered quietly as she looked up at him. Her words rang true and full of gratitude, she really didn’t know what would have happened if Caruso hadn’t been there to help her get out of that. She opened her mouth to speak, but quickly shut it when a familiar stench reached her nares. Once again the familiar feeling of ice chilled her to the bones, it was the dun stallion. He was back.
She was rigid as he came into view, even though she had faith in Caruso she was beginning to lose it. If Doc wanted her, then Caruso might want to fight or protect something that wasn’t even his. Maybe he wouldn’t even think Brigid was worth a few scars on his perlino pelt. The champagne mare was completely terrified now, what if Caruso did leave her with this monster so he could do whatever he pleased with her?
Bri couldn’t help but jump when the stallion came between the two, a look of panic coming to her eyes when he had them separated. The bite he inflicted on Caruso and the blood he drew made her fear spike, this stallion meant business. Which meant with Caruso hurt he could just leave now and never think twice about Bri. Part of her wouldn’t blame him, but the other part prayed he would stay. “Stop it! Don’t hurt him!” Brigid yelled at the other stallion, biting at his dun pelt to try and keep his attention off of Caruso. If Caruso could just get in a good blow, they could just run for it. Andromeda watched as the perlino and his mare began to walk out of sight. She sighed with relief; less of a fight. Though, the dun looked…perplexed when they left. Like he was dreaming up a scheming plan. The femme heard him speak to the remaining stallions “…awh! How cute!” He directed at the black stallions and the bay mare. When he spoke to the creamello, he sounded cocky and sarcastic, making Andromeda feel sick to her stomach. “…I have never heard such sophisticated intruders…” Eventually the dun left, head held high. Andromeda knew the Envious didn’t run from fights…he was searching for one. She gulped, then started to back slowly out of the trees; until she heard a voice. She stopped dead in her tracks. The voice was low and arrogant sounding. It spoke barely a sentence, but it still sent chills down the mare’s spine. “Good luck!” Andromeda waited till she could no longer hear his hooves and then came fully out of the trees. She turned to go the opposite way, her heart pounding in her chest from the almost-confrontation. She began to walk, but something stopped her. “Stop it! Don’t hurt him!” It was a female’s voice. It screeched, piercing the air around Andromeda. It rang in her ears for a few minutes. She took another step away from the voice, but it echoed continuously. “…don’t hurt him!” It isn’t my job to save her… she reminded herself. She took another step, but the mare’s terrified voice screamed in her brain again, almost calling to her. I’m allowed to leave…The mare took a deep breath and continued to walk, but again she heard it. “Stop it!...” Andromeda shook her cranium and turned, and she could see what was about to happen. Hidden in trees, Andromeda watched from afar. She held her breath. The dun had wedged his body between the stag and his mare, who looked spooked about it. The perlino stallion was wounded; there was a giant bite taken from his ribs. Andromeda cringed. The mare, whose voice seemed to call for her earlier, looked horrified. Andromeda squeezed her eyes shut.
“Get away from my herd!” The gray stallion screamed, baring his teeth at the black stag who stood in front of him. "You may have killed everyone else, but you won't kill me."
“Ha ha ha. Get away from YOUR herd? It’s mine now, you swine.” He spat, holding his head higher than the gray’s. “I will kill you. I don’t care how pure I am.” The former leader retorted. The black stallion chuckled, throwing his head into the other’s and beginning to kick and bite. The gray fell in a matter of minutes. The black stag berated him with kicks and bites and hooves digging into the stomach. “DADDY!” A tiny dappled gray draft screeched, galloping over to her fallen father, her mother screaming for her to stop. She stood between the Envious villain and her dad, feet spread apart, panting. “STOP IT! DON’T HURT HIM!”
Andromeda knew what she had to do.

Caruso and Doc
and carry it away Caruso kept close to Bri as they walked. They had only made it a few steps into the woods before he had saw the envious from a distance enter the little meadow that everyone had been standing in. Soon, Bri spoke. She had thanked him for being there when they got into that group of horses, otherwise she didn't know what she would have done. Caruso nudged Bri and softly whispered. "No need to thank me, just doing what a gentlemen should do." Half smile planted across his lips, however it didn't last long when his nares picked up the stench of the dun stag gaining on them. The smile quickly faded and a slight look of concern came across him as he made sure to keep himself between Bri and the stag as he neared the pair. Up close the dun had marks all over his hide, probably from previous fights and killings, he could only think. He looked like a rough tough tanky yet not super tall horse. He had all the rotten words to say, yet Caruso wondered really how mean he could actually be, but apparently he was about to find out. Suddenly, Doc spoke up about two peas in a pod and without even a moment hesitation he managed to squeeze in between Bri and Caruso before biting down on Caruso's perlino hide. The stag snorted in pain and pawed the ground with his front hooves until Doc released and wet fresh blood dripped from the wound. He could hear Bri squeal at Doc telling him to stop hurting Caruso, but somehow Caru knew something like that wouldn't work, but he appreciated her for trying. For a moment Doc backed off and talked about how Caruso better fight hard, but there was no need to inform him of this. For Caru already knew this was going to be a war, and Bri was trapped in the middle of it. As Doc spoke about Bri like a piece of ass Caruso only grew angrier. His happy features had gone and his whole body was overcome with almost an icy heartless feeling.
Some flashbacks of his childhood flashed across his mind of when his half brother and his father came to kill Caruso and his family. That night always seemed to relive in his mind when situations like this arose. He felt as if even though he wasn't fighting his half brother in the flesh, that every fight he did win, for what was right in this world; that his parents would be looking down very happy with their son. That their son had done the right thing, and never became the monster that his half brother was. A monster, like Doc.
After Doc finished talking he began to charge Caruso, but he was ready. During battles Caruso was light on his feet, surprising for how thick framed and stocky he was, but this trait helped so much in situations like this. He was better skilled at defensive attacks however, rather in offensive and he only hoped Doc was the same, so he could somehow gain the upper hand in this fight.
Doc was only a two steps from coming to a head on collision with Caru, teeth barred and evil in his golden eyes. Caruso however remained calm, took a deep breath and stepped to the side, sending Doc barreling past him for a few paces. This gave Caru the chance to gallop over the 20ft or so that he was separated, and regain his spot in front of Bri. Part of Caru wanted to tell Bri to run, but something in his mind made him think that Doc would then abandon the fight and just head for Bri, after all she was what he wanted, not Caruso. Thus, Caru couldn't take that chance. He knew he was going to have to stay here and fight Doc off while trying to keep him from beating Bri to a plup or trying to breed her.. He took another deep breath and cleared his mind while Doc spun around and got his bearings straight, now headed right for the pair once again.Quickly, Caruso spoke to Bri. "Stay alert, keep your head high and stay alert. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Whatever you do, stay out of the fight and keep safe." He ment it. To him, fighting was not a ladies job. A ladies job was to keep safe, be happy and have foals. Defending them and protecting them was the job of a stallion and that was the job Caruso was filling. Doc was only a few steps away now, once again charging Caru with teeth barred again. He quickly thought, /does this stag ever learn?/ But, thoughts were cut short.
Doc; ((OOC;Powerplaying doc a bit, sorry annoying to post 2 different posts. I'll make it better next time.)) BIC; Doc had learned. Instead of trying to grab a hold of Caruso's flesh again, the dun stallion leaped forward and threw out his front hooves, coming right down on Caruso's shoulder. He deviously smiled at his accomplishment and made sure to dig into Caruso's pelt super hard, once again drawing blood before the stag could do anything about it. The smell of the blood made his smile grow bigger as the anger and heartlessness in his eyes grew more powerful. Doc snickered and spoke as he backed off a step. "As Caruso, no pretty boy dance that time now huh? This game is just getting started!" Doc's words were cold and icy as he smirked and laid his eyes on Bri for a moment again before dodging around Caru as fast as he could and getting himself on the other side, right next to Bri. Evil smile as he reached in fast and nipped at Bri's rear. Nothing horrible, just a little pinch. He really wanted to tick of Caruso. He thrived off how mad stallions got when he messed with their mares, but the best was yet to come. Doc quickly moved back over to Caru's side and spoke yet again. "How does that make you feel, Caruso? When I touch your lady?" He was awful, pure rotten, to torture a horse like this, it wasn't the pain he inflicted, it was the mind tricks that he teased. His pure objective was to just make them fall apart at the seams for one another, smart words helped that. The brute then continued on in his fight, not even noticing the mare he had told goodluck to was standing in the distance watching. Doc was into this fight, all his emotions, rage, power, pouring though his veins, yearning for victory so he could do his mating dance with Bri and Caruso helplessly watched in his final moments. It was pure genius to Doc, how sick minded he was. The envious stag was now already focused now on Caruso again of course. He chuckled evilly and swung his rear end around to barrel kick him in the chest. One hoof connected as Caru stepped to the side again, and the other hoof just nearly missed Bri as it skimmed right by Caruso's hide. The blow didn't draw any blood, rather you could just here a echoing THUD like it really did hurt. Doc could see Caruso cringe for a moment before the stag went into action and returned the favor to Doc.
Caruso; Caruso had lunged forward after absorbing the blow from Doc. How close Bri had come to taking part of that blow bothered him. Even more so, bothered him that Doc was able to round the coner and bite Bri before Caru even had the chance to do something about it. Everytime the stag spoke is just made the Perlino more pissed off, more upset that he could treat a mare so horrid. He didn't care about himself, but you were no man if you could even do such a thing as bite a mare. The hated for Doc that Caruso had was unimaginable. so after Doc had barrel kicked him in the chest Caru tried to ignore the pain and think fast as he jolted out his neck and grabbed the duns pelt hard between his ivories. He sea sawed his teeth to make them really grind into the flesh as warm blood tricked into his mouth and almost made him want to gag. However, he held his jaw and didn't release until the skin and hair had come off in his mouth. Now, they had both left their marks on each other, but this fight was far from over. Both stags bleeding but neither seriously hurt. Caru knew there was still more to fight. He stepped forward a few steps, away from Bri and towards Doc after he had let his rump go, and his vocals sounded though the moment of silence. "Bring it, old Man." Caruso ment business, but so did Doc.

Andromeda watched the fight escalate quickly. She began to step closer to the stags who fought vigorously, charging and biting. When the dun found that his opponent was faster, he threw out his front end to come down on his shoulders. She heard him taunt: “…This game is just getting started!" The perlino had fought before, it was obvious, the way he leaped and blocked blows. But he was not as experienced at this as the dun, who easily turned and kicked him square in the chest. Andromeda’s heart pounded, but her breath was held. She felt hopeless, knowing she had to do something, but realizing this wasn’t her fight. The urge to leave ate at her, but the guilt she felt for even thinking that punched her in the gut. The mare beside the stags was in danger, of getting captured, hurt, or maybe even killed if the blow was right. Andromeda’s battle within would have to end soon, or it might be too late. “Bring it, old man!”
The filly puffed out, her breathing scratchy as she stood between her new Leader and the father that loved her. The Envious steed laughed at her, it was low, angry…sinister. “You really want to get into a fight with me, filly? You must be an idiot.” He snapped, ears pinned. The foal looked at her father, whose eyes were swollen shut and who breathed unsteadily. Tears filled her eyes as she looked at the stag who had done this. “He hasn’t done anything. Hurt me but not him, he’s done nothing but be nice.” The steed laughed throatily. “You think I care? Nice is NOTHING to me. He DESERVES to be dead…and so does a little rebellious filly.” She stared at him. “Bring it…o-old man.”
Andromeda cantered towards the fight, her thoughts a jumbled mess. She was scared, but she wouldn’t run when a mare was in danger. The femme came through the trees, eyes focused on the white female with champagne patches, who looked in a trance. Where the perlino had left, stepping towards his rival, Andromeda filled in. She was bigger than the stags yet, and towered over her fellow mare. She sucked in air, and stared at the Envious. Her eyes looked unintentionally menacing under her fleshy pink scar. She might’ve had an old cicatrix, that lingered there as a constant reminder of what the evil had done, but she would be damned if the beautiful femme she stood in front of was to get one too.

♥ The dappled Arabian mare stood in shock. For once in her life, she was left speechless and motionless. She had no idea on how to handle any of this, and there was so much commotion and new horses around her, she didn't eve know what to do with herself. She listened to the others' petty conversations, only realizing they were Envious until it was brought up. She froze in fear, her dark eyes scanning the unknown herd nervously and cautiously. Memories flooded her brain, bringing up past, horrible thoughts and the activities that placed them there. She remembers joining an Envious herd, but getting force bred and beaten, while all the other herd members watched and laughed. She was no longer the confident, flirtatious mare, but instead became a small, scared little filly again. Her body shook as she stood still, not even trying to hide the nervousness and fear within her eyes. She was brought back out of her past and into reality at the dun stallion's words. '"But, there might be hope for you yet, Pixie. That envious black stallion has his eyes on you, the minion, not the leader. Goodluck with that!"'She glanced towards the black stallion he had described, unknowingly locking eyes but turning away quickly in fear. She knew what he wanted. It was what all Envious stallions wanted. To force breed and claim what they want. She turned away, slowly moving away from the bunch before sprinting in the opposite direction in a hasty movement. Yes, she was fast, and her hooves barely touched the ground when she ran, but she was shaking, and her nervousness made her clumsy, causing her to trip and stumble to the ground in one swift moment. She was scared, and because of her fear, she now felt trapped. ♥ |

If you couldn't be loved the next best thing was to be let alone. Brigid was standing off to the edge as the two stallions fought, big brown eyes filled with worry. She was so terrified that Caruso would get hurt, and that Doc would win. She had to block out the thoughts that were rushing through her mind, what he would do to her if he won over Caru. She pushed those thoughts back, Caruso wasn’t going to lose. He was going to win and they were going to come out of this together.
Doc was a good fighter, and though Caru was as well, the older stallion seemed like he had a lot more experience. That scared her, and once again she was thinking about running. She knew it was wrong, but she didn’t know what else to do. Maybe if she only ran a little bit she would be able to wait for Caruso until he was able to get away. But then again, the only reason Doc was even fighting was because of her.
So why was Caruso fighting for her? They weren’t mates and they had just met each other, she didn’t mean anything to him. They were both taking a beating, both bleeding and bruised at this point. He could just leave right now, never look back, and Doc would leave him alone. He only wanted her, and for a moment Brigid considered it. She actually thought about telling Caru to just leave so he would no longer get hurt. She was too scared to even get the words out though.
Every blow that hit one of them caused her to flinch, she hated the sickening sound it made. Especially when he hit Caruso. A soft squeal of both surprise and pain slipped through her lips when Doc bit her, causing her to kick out and narrowly miss a hit from Doc’s back hooves as he hit Caruso. She quickly took a few steps back, almost running into another horse. It was a grey mare, one that she had never seen before.
“You need to leave…Caruso has this fight, but the envious are coming. You need to leave before they find you. You don’t want to run into them,” She warned the mare, her voice worried. She had heard stories about the envious, and she didn’t want this mare hurt as she watched this fight. There was nothing to watch, Doc would soon be on the ground and defeated. And then she and Caruso would be running from the envious. words: 412 tagged: A lot of horses. lol notes: FEAR ITSELF
Anger welled up in the black stallion as he heard the miserable dun scum call him a minion to Mayhem. A minion to that filth. He would never listen to that stallion, and he was planning on leaving now so he would never have to even hear his miserable little voice. His anger was building when the dun pushed him over the edge, warning his perfect little grey mare of his watch. Now he couldn’t even surprise her. He felt like going after the dun and making him pay, but it was then that his mare took off and he had to make a decision. With only a moment’s hesitation, he knew what he was going to do. Before he took off after the mare though he reached down and bit into his shoulder, biting over the mark that Mayhem had made and covering it up. With one last glance at Mayhem, his ivories stained red with his own blood, he tipped his head with a devious look on his face and took off. He never intended to see them again, and he no longer bore the mark of Mayhem. Fear tore after the mare, his black stones tearing into the dead turf below him. This mare didn’t have a chance as his leg stretched out in front of him. He honestly didn’t want to hurt her, he had no intentions of doing that. He just wanted to…love? her. He honestly didn’t even know what he wanted. He just knew that she was special and he needed her by his side. He would not hurt her, just keep her by his side until she felt the same way about him. It wasn’t like she could actually like him right now, she wouldn’t even give him a chance. But if he forced her to stay with him, then she would see her only meant well. He knew it was a terrible plan, but he had no idea what else he could do. His heart, was that what the feeling was, was pulling him towards her and he couldn’t hold back. He was gaining on the mare, but he had to quickly stop as the mare came tumbling down. He trotted over to her, trying not to seem to terrible and scary. “Don’t run, you can’t get away from me. You are mine now little one, you aren’t getting away. Get up, I want to get away from the others before they try and hurt you,” He commanded her, his voice edgy but not as evil and menacing as it usually was. ¶ words -- 430 | notes – He just wants love.

-mayhem madness- fire, dark and burning bright. bright as day, yet, gives no light. in the shadows of the night. take away immortal sight. As Mayhem finished his sentence, he glanced back at Ari with a devious smirk, nudging her nose with his, as if passing on and sharing the excitement of their doings. His peripherals caught sight of Fear, and he snorted in distaste. Even though he was considered to be in his herd, he just did not like him, even if they shared some things in common. He snorted as the little gathering in front of him grew, his nose taking in the scent of a mare within the trees. His dark eyes shifted listlessly around in await for a reply.
'“These lands are for the loners that roam here, not for you and your band to run amuck in.”'
Mayhem chuckled at the cream colored stag, noting how different they were in comparison. Before he could speak again, the other stallion, which to Mayhem, looked to be an Envious like himself, spoke.
'"Hahah! What do we have here? Gee, I don't know, I see unicorns and rainbows!! Oh and little minions scattered about! Awwhh how cute!"'
The words came out like shouts to Mayhem's ears, and his smirk quickly turned to a frown. Was this stag making fun of him? Mayhem didn't see any followers of the stag's own, and his words were childish. Mayhem snorted in disgust and annoyance. Before he could come back with a reply, once again, he was cut off. And before he knew it, the older stallion took off, making multiple snarky remarks before leaving.
The sound of tearing flesh entered Mayhem's ears and his dark eyes followed it to Fear, creating a new scar over the one he gave him. He snorted, a surprised expression escaping his face as he watched Fear take off after the dappled grey mare. He didn't know what to do, go after him or let him go? To be honest, Mayhem didn't really find him an asset to the herd, and he was rebellious, but the more the merrier, especially if he wanted his army to grow. He glanced at Ari with a confused look, as if willing her to make up his mind for him.
"Well Ari? It seems everyone has ran off. What would you like to do?"

♥ As Pixie hit the ground, her silver ears took in the sound of pounding hooves behind her. Panic arose throughout her body, her nostrils flared and chest heaving with painful, sharp breaths. Before she stumbled back to her feet, words escaped the unknown Envious stag and pushed themselves into her audits. '“Don’t run, you can’t get away from me. You are mine now little one, you aren’t getting away. Get up, I want to get away from the others before they try and hurt you,”'She snorted in disgust, her dark eyes locking to his in a horrified anger. She opened her lips enough to spat at him, the salty saliva perfectly landing upon his face, right under his eye. She glanced at the cut on his side with wonder and disgust, watching the blood glisten from the sun. "Do not dare touch me, you filthy Envious."She jumped to her feet, anger and fear in her eyes as her body still shook. She wanted to run, but she couldn't. She was too afraid of what he would do to her if he caught her again. And she definitely did not want him to be able to catch her again. ♥ |

FEAR ITSELF
Fear only chuckled as the little mare spat in his face, even when she did that she was still beautiful. Even feisty and spunky, it really was love at first sight. Well if he could even experience love anyway, a hardened and abandoned equine he had always been. But he figured this would probably be the closest he ever got to love, and he wasn’t letting this mare get away. He nudged her side with his black velvet nose, try to coax her to keep walking. “Come on. We need to keep going, you’ll thank me one day. You’ll understand it all. I won’t hurt you unless you make me, not get moving,” He ordered, voice getting hard at the very end of it. He would actually never hurt her, at least he never intended to, but it was a good threat to keep the mare moving forward. The black stallion threw a glance over his shoulder, nudging her softly once more. He didn’t want Mayhem or Ari to come and try to hurt his little prize. He just wanted to get away from here and in the loners lands so he could find somewhere they could rest. Well she could rest, because until he trusted her he imagined he would be getting very little sleep. ¶ words -- 216 | notes – Keepin his lady safe.

she was like a time bomb set into motion and destined to explode. Ari startled back into reality as she felt Mayhem's muzzle graze hers, well, as close to reality as she'd been yet. It wasn't so familiar to her, such a soft gesture. She felt his excitement, an equal match to hers, as she watched the loners scatter about the land. She studied with acute interest the new beings of whom she'd never seen, and certainly she had never seen so many in the same lands before. The scene had her snorting raspily in content.
What took her primary interest however, was the look she'd seen in Fear's eyes, just from a side glance. While she was god-awful at being alert, Ari made up for with attentiveness when it was really needed. The stallion's eyes were layered with desire and gluttony at its best, and she could have determined as to what these sins attributed to before the lurking dun stallion had rallied it off. Upon it being said aloud, though, Ari was more floored by the grey mare's abrupt departure. She chuckled darkly as only she could, seeing the little mare stumble around on her own feet as she disappeared to somewhere. It took little time before a rush of black filled her halved gaze, Fear taking off with little hesitation, the tang of blood teeming in the air. It was pleasant on its own, and so entrancing that she'd not noticed how she and Mayhem only stood.
Having to turn her entire head to see her Lead, Ari met his confused gaze, finding it odd the small sense of guidance it begged for. From her? She snorted, her teeth clamping together to form the best grin she could muster before moving just that much forward and dragging her blunt teeth along Mayhem's toned neck. Upon her nose reaching his cheek, she paused and carefully pushed the crown of her head entirely into the crease where his neck meets his skull. She did so with uncharacteristic gentleness before lowering her head to gaze underneath his head towards the brush.
"I suppose we wait and watch lives crumble. There's more than enough misery to go around." Ari's gaze drifted off to watch the dun stallion face off against his opponent, another mare stepping up beside the first, towering over her with a frame taller than anything Ari could remember. She grinned and her throat let out a string of dreamy chuckles, waiting desperately for the potent smell of red liquid iron to reach her senses.

Caruso and Doc
Fight Fight Fight!!!
Ooc: Forewarning everyone now. This will be a combined post between Doc and Caruso. I don't feel like making 2 separate posts and templates when the fight is only between my charries anyway. So yea, hope it isn't too boring to read, im going to try and keep it short.
Doc: The dun brute smile deviously as he heard Caruso speak 'Bring it Old Man' it was the perfect start to a raging war between the two light colored horses. Doc's blood was pumping strong as he barred his teeth and ran for Caruso, but stopped short and circled around him quickly faking Caruso out and spinning his hind end to rail Caruso in the ribs right where Doc had previously bit him. Now, the blood really spilled as Doc had once again aggravated the bite mark but ripped it open a bit more too. Happy with his blow Doc danced away, light on his feet as he chuckled under his breath with a deep low almost creepy tone. This fueled his thirst for a good fight so much he couldn't help but love and enjoy it. Caruso hadn't flinched too much for such a nasty blow to the side and because of that Doc was impressed by his strength to hold his own and protect his mare. Though, he didn't show his emotions as he stepped off a few paces and waited for Caruso to try and strike him back. Suddenly, he had noticed the new mare, tall thick mare that was, standing in front of Bri. Doc smiled deviously as he glanced back to Caruso and spoke in a menacing tone. "Oh my lucky day, two mares to breed once I deal with you little scum!" Doc never cared about the repercussions of his words, thats just how he was, a very angry equine all the time, unless he was playing nice to trap a mare in his clutches that is..
Caruso: The Perlino watched Doc carefully with his dark blue eyes as he could tell the dun was just feeding off all the anger and hate in the air. Unfortunately Caru wasn't like that, he hated war and wanted peace but knew he had to play his part in this fight in order to keep Bri safe. He stood tall and took in a breath as Doc came running at him once again with his mouth open looking like he was going to eat Caru whole. Misjudging his action Caru smiled confidently and swung his body away, but unknowingly only helped the stag as he turned and barrel kicked him right in the ribs before Caru could adjust his stance. The kick was right where he was bitten so the pain jolted though the Perlinos body as he bit down on his teeth and bared though the stabbing feeling in his side. He dared to not show much emotion from all the beatings as he didn't want to worry Bri any more then she needed to be. This wasn't a fight a mare needed to get involved in. Though of course, right while he thought about mares not needing to be involved a grey mare stepped out of nowhere and in front of Bri. Caruso could see Doc's gaze follow the large mares bodice which only made the Perlino wonder what his sick mind was thinking now. Though, he didn't have to wonder long as Doc opened his maw and spoke his thoughts on what he intended to do with them... Caruso had always been a stallion of barely any words, he was a listener not a speaker, but Doc had pushed all of his buttons and now he felt like he had no option but to reply back with what he was thinking. "Me Scum!? Look at you, your more of a pig then a equine! Those mare's aren't even in heat and you want to forcebreed them! How SICK!" He spat angrily at the dun stag as he caught a glimpse of his hazel evil eyes. Caruso wanted to badly to win this fight and smash the stags head right in, which was very unusual of him seeing he had no envious bones in his body. Though this Doc rubbed him the wrong way, he was so sick minded, so angry and vicious, he didn't deserve another day of life. Caruso was bound and determined to win this fight, he had to for the good of them all. As Doc had backed off a few steps and relieved the pressure from Caru, the perlino thought for a moment about his next move. He realized that Doc had more then likely backed off because he wanted him to make the next move. Maybe it was a trap, but Caruso saw it as the perfect opportunity to try and get a leg up on the stallion and get him battered and bloody as well. Soon enough, a look of sheer determination and hate came across Caruso's face as he launched himself towards Doc, he leaped up into the air and came down on the Dun's withers with his hooves and grabbed his spine between his ivories. He bit down as hard as he could while feeling Doc's spine between his teeth. He knew if only he could crumble him to the ground that he could get the chance to kick his head in and end all of this. As he held the bite blood began to seep from his mouth, Doc's blood. But also from where his hooves had come in contact with the envious's skin when he had landed on him. It left long hairless marks across the duns side that was now seeping a slow drip of blood from them. Caruso didn't let go as Doc snorted below him and attempted to dance around from side to side to shake the Perlino of his grip. Though it didn't work and Caruso only kept biting in harder. In a few seconds however, he planned to let go spin around and barrel kick the dun right in the ribs, hopefully taking the wind from his lungs enough to knock him off balance but if it didn't work, he would have to come up with a new plan and he wasn't sure how much more of a beating he could take. This was all in the best interests of Bri however, not his own. In his head Caruso counted down before he let go to try and kick the dun in the ribs. As he released he scrambled to turn his haunches towards Doc for one of the final blows, but things went terribly wrong...
Doc: The dun was actually surprised as Caruso spoke the words he did. Though, they were not untrue. Doc knew he was a creep and a sick equine for wanting to forcebreed any mare he came across, in heat or not. Though that was his life and some other equine pointing it out wasn't going to change it. Instead, he just absorbed the information like it was a compliment, as to him it was, and resumed his blood boiling feeling for this fight. As Caruso came at him he tried to dodge but the Perlino had leaped and managed to grab hold of his withers. The pain behind his withers and right on his spine was excruciating as Caruso held his grip on his bones while drawing blood from his hide. Doc couldn't help but snicker at the release of his own blood, and didn't care about the scar it would later leave either. He actually had pride in every scar he had as they showed all the battles he had happily been in. Truthfully, the stag was crazy. As he danced around he couldn't seem to shake Caruso but suddenly he felt the release of his jaw and used the opportunity, if only a very very slim one, to swing his own haunches towards Caruso and kick out as hard as he could, blindly. Lucky enough for him, Caruso was trying to do the same thing, but turned toward Doc's haunches instead of away from them and his head came right into contact with Doc's charcoal hooves. The blow was enough to send Caruso staggering back almost drunk looking before he toppled over on the ground helpless. Doc snicked happily and walked over to Caruso slowly while watching the Perlino's eye lashes bat slowly like he was jumping in and out of consciousness. Now, Doc knew this would be his perfect chance to breed both mares without anything that Caruso could do... nothing, but helplessly watch, IF he did stay alert and conscious...
Caruso: His plan had failed, he knew it as soon as he turned toward the duns haunches instead of away. The contact that came cross his cranium was enough force to make him snort out in pain and cringe helplessly as he staggered about the hard frozen ground before falling on to it without a thing he could do but try to regain his thoughts and balance before even attempting to get back up. He could see the figures of the grey mare and Bri in the near distance as his eyelids flicked over his eyes while the pain consumed his mind. Throbbing, he could see the sick pleasure in Doc's face as he watched the dun look to both mares... Caruso feared the worst as the pain in his head grew and he felt like slipping out of it.. but before he did, his vocals sounded, loud and clear but obviously in distress as he yelled. "BRI. RUN!!!" You clearly could not miss the urgency in his tone as he then took a deep breath of crisp cool air and let his eyelids close as he slipped into an unconscious state, unwillingly, as the blood from his wounds still spilled from his hide...
