| she is new so sorry about the crappy ness that comes with her post XD |

Eyes looking all around the place with thorns spinning around on her head. Wanting to find some kind of home in this place. Sighing wihle she looked all around the place unsure of just what this place was going to be like. With her eyes looking at the trees that danced in the wind and the greenier that was there around her. Placing a smile upon her face as she reared up into the air. Grinning from ear to ear as she nickered loudly. Prancing forwards with thorns perked up and her cremello figure moving swiftly over the land. Taking in a deep breath of air when she was able to smell the scent of another equine that was within this land. Looking arond as she could not yet see the sight of this bronco just yet.
Her muzzle releasing a sigh as hshe looked down with a sad look upon her face as she was kind of disappointed that no one had shown up to where she was standing at. Turning and allowing her figure to move over to a nice stream that was nearby. Dropping her head down slowly and drinking from the cool water on this slightly warm day. Taking in a deep breath of air before turning and wandering over to a little clearing that was near her standing point. Slowly allowing her figure to fall down to the terrain to go. Taking in a deep breath of air as she as she relaxed for a moment Waiting to see just what might be coming in her direction after her call was made.

The problem with being new was the obvious lack of knowing anyone in the current area of inhabitance. This issue was to be expected, but Valentine had every intention of fixing it. After he got a little more comfortable within his new home, of course. Lay down the proper claiming rituals -- were there any aside from what he deemed proper for what was his? -- and ensure that his scent lay heavy and pungent along the grove. Marked as his, a place which he would defend with his very life. There was no backing down now, not after deciding that this was it.
Time would tell how things came to be, though in these moments, Valentine found himself less alone than he had previously thought. The realization came from nickered sound that reached his ears and had him pivoting to attention. It did not take much time for him to break out into a canter to reach whomever it was that made the noise, and Valentine noted the scent as belonging to a mare before he actually caught sight of her. She was a creamy color, not too far off from his (if he wasn't pink and shiny in a way most cremellos were not), and he found himself curious.
Enough that he paused a few paces away to give her a glancing over -- in a veiled sort of way, of course -- and smile in a friendly manner toward her. A slow downward slant of his head was given in greeting. "Hello there. I am Valentine of the Grove-" He glanced around the area in a motion that clearly indicated that this place was said grove; "And who might you be?" A light inquiry as he watched her, not moving closer, since he was not intending to invade her space. At least not yet, since he'd only just met her.

SNOW WHITE
Snow had found herself so relaxed that her eyes were even starting to close as she rested there for a moment that was until she heard the sound of hooves coming over towards where she rested. Thorns perking as she flung her head up. Scrambling as she got up on her daggers unsure of what this equine was planning to do or even who this stag was going to be and what he was going to be like. Watching as his sparkling figure came right over to her and not even in a evil way. He seemed kind and loving in his eyes. Something Snow was hoping to keep on finding as she moved herself deeper and deeper into the lands she was new to.
Hearing the sound of his voice as he introduced himself towards her. Taking in his name and seeing that it was a perfect one for him with the coloring of this stag. "My name is Snow White, but many call me snow." Saying her words as she sent him a light dip from her skull. Shifting her weight as she backed up slightly and gave him a dip of his skull. "I am sorry if I am intruding upon your land. I was just trying to find some where to rest since I am new around here and just wanted to find a good place to lay down." Honest words dripping from her muzzle as she looked upon the sight of the stag. Flickering her banner back and forth at the pest upon her pelt.
Snow was just hoping that she would have some kind of home soon and that this stallion was not like some stag she has ran into in her travels into this new world. Gazing at the creamy colored stag. Ready to hear just what this stallion would have to go and say towards her words from before.

He hadn't meant to disturb the mare's resting, but he supposed that she knew it was a possiblity while within another's territory. It would take a little time for Valentine to get used to having a territory of his own and all that came with the having of one. He would certainly be more protective of it all once a herd was gained, but for now he could spare some time and calm to search the area out. To eye every nook and cranny of the Grove, sniff out each patch of moss and all that was under it. A shrew even poked his nose at one point in being curious and snuffling over the ground. Strange little creature it was. Valentine had simply moved on.
Kept going until the mare's presence had alerted him to check the arrival out. That nicker had been a call out, had it not? This was what Valentine was going with, though perhaps she had made the sound to see if anyone was nearby before laying, and he had merely been too far away to concern her. Though he was admittably silent in proceeding towards her. Maybe he should have responded before starting in her direction? Not that it mattered now, but something to store away in thought for a later date. Yes, Valentine would think on his experiences later, when not in the company of this mare. Rude not to be attentive now.
Valentine is aware why the mare might rise from her resting place as he arrived, debating in his mind which was the safer way of it and for which reason. Nothing he needed to really concern himself with just yet, however. But he couldn't help but be interested in the inner workings of others. Why they did what they did in any given circumstance. These things were pushed to the back of his mind as the mare spoke her name, and Valentine's ears twitched in her direction. Before he had gathered up a reply to her introduction, she was speaking again. Another that was new to these parts? Maybe it was the weather.
He smiled. "No worries, Snow White. I am new as well, and have no herd to protect yet. Therefore I doubt that I would mind the company of almost anyone at the moment. Certainly not minding yours." Was the even response to her. There was a pause as he regarded her. "Where are you from, might I ask?" Valentine questioned, knowing that he should keep the conversation going, though he wasn't fully sure just what else to ask her. For now, that seemed like enough. Snow White might just say something that pressed for more questions, or might ask him one or more in return.

SNOW WHITE
Snow enjoyed the sight of this place. Thorns shifting around as she could not help but look around her to see the sights of the birds flying around and dancing. An her thorns waiting for the terms of this stag to fill her ears. Knowing that this place was going to be an amazing place to live at with just how it looked. Would she possibly be able to raise a couple little ones here if she was able to? The things that mares look for no matter if they planned to have children or not. They want to have some kind of safety net and a good lead watching over them. Just hoping that this stag was that kind of stallion that she could enjoy having as a lead stallion if she was to live within this place.
Daggers shifted as the mare looked upon the pinkish bronco. Scanning every bit of muscle he had upon his figure. Yes he was a stag that seemed ruler worthy. Smiling softly to the stag as she knew she would have some kind of safety here. Though of course she did not know this stag well yet. Watching the stag with thorns perked and banner waving back and forth still. Allowing a deep breath of air to come through her mares and into her lungs. Repeating this process while she tried to calm her figure
Thorns taking in the sound of the bronco's terms while he spoke towards her. Hearing he was new also which was nice to hear that she was not the only new one to these lands. Giving a smile to the stag while he shifted weight under her figure. Loving his terms that he would not mind her company which was a nice thing to hear from a stag that hardly knew her.
"Well i come from far away. My parents raised me out of a herd setting since their was no one that would except them for being two different alliances and them to finally be happy. What about you, Sir Valentine of the Grove. Where do you hail from?" Asking his own question back to the brute. Trying to find out things himself. Shifting his weight as she tried to think of just what else to ask. "May I ask? But can I join your growing herd? I'm just trying to find some where to rest. I have traveled pretty far to get here." Words asking softly towards him. hoping be would allow her to join him in this beautiful place.

The grove was exactly the sort of place that Valentine wanted to live in, the kind that he figured would be breath-taking in any season. It wasn't the sort of place to which his bloodlines stem, but he has never seen his great- grandfather's desert, his grandfather's sandy shore, his grandmother's mountain peaks. Valentine's father was not so ambitious, but there were reasons for that, and Valentine accepted that. Not everyone was cut out to lead, but he was going to prove his worth, prove that he was cut out for it. That this was what he should be.
Time would bring him closer to the instincts of being a leader, Valentine counted on that. He did not think about being 'good' -- he wouldn't be neutal if he did -- but he did think about being practical. Being protective, defending those under his care. Valentine was confident in his fighting abilities, and he would use them when he thought they were needed. Being a rogue for his few years made him stronger, gave him insight in all the dangers of the world. It was a reason he had taken time out to observe everything going on around him as he traveled.
He waits there as calm as ever, tail swaying in a relaxed manner around his hindlegs. When Snow White speaks, Valentine listened to her words, the fact that she was raised outside of a herd setting. Alliance issues. Valentine had never truly understood that way of thought, but perhaps it was because he was raised not to think much of alignments; only actions and deeds (and his bloodlines had enough of both to back it up). Still, how strange it was to think of good or bad labels keeping others apart. Then again, his father's parents had lived apart, leading different lands.
He remembers the early stories, and it gave him something to say over where he was from when Snow White asked. "From somewhere south-east of the lost islands. That was what my father called them, where he was born." He answered evenly. Then Snow was asking if she could join his herd, and Valentine smiled, dipped his head to her. "You are most welcome to, yes. I would watch over you as you rest, if you'd like." He answers lightly, one front hoof shuffling over the moss underhoof. He liked the near spongy feeling of it as he walked on it.

SNOW WHITE
Snow was happy to have this bronco nearby. Something about him was just something that seemed to make a smile float up onto her muzzle as she looked at him with thorns perked. Wanting to go over and touch him just to see if he was real or not. Truly she just wanted a friend. After being alone most of her life. She was starting to enjoy the company that he was giving her. To think that her parents had to raised her away from their herds were a bit odd to her, but she was young then. She did not know what she knew now. Knowing that they could have found a herd that accepted them for what they did, but it was kind of a good thing she was raised how she was. For she was that very out going mare who loved company since she seemed to be deprived of it.
Her thorns perking forwards as she looked over to the stag. Taking in the words of the brute as he spoke towards her. Saying that he was from the south east of this place and that he. . .HE LIVED ON AN ISLAND. that was one thing she had never seen before in her life. The thought of the beautiful place kind of made a smile come there upon her muzzle as she gazed at the bronco. Picturing the sight of the sand and the trees and just the beautiful sounds of the birds flying over head and the sound of the ocean's waves crashing upon the shore line. Oh how it would be ever so beautiful and she knew that it would be as she thought about it.
"That sounds like a BEAUTIFUL place." She said with a bit of excitement in her voice as she looked at the bronco. Shaking her head as she tried to calm herself. Not wanting to go all crazy with just meeting this stallion. Taking in a deep breath of air as she knew her question would be answered in just a moment. Feeling knots starting to build up in her stomach as she waited for his response. Hoping that she would be allowed to come into this place and live a happy life. And then his words started to fill her thorns as she stood there. Hearing that she was welcomed into the herd and that he would even watch over her as she rested.
"Oh thank you thank you thank you. Maybe before the resting you could show me around a little bit?" She asked lightly a she looked over to the stag with thorns perked upon her skull. Shaking her head up and down with excitement as she looked to the bronco with thorns perked upon her skull as she pranced up a step a tad bit. Awaiting the words from the bronco as she gazed at him with a big grin there upon her muzzle.

Valentine doesn't know how his look would affect his lifestyle here, but he would find out in time how he was looked at. Once there were times to fight, the overall thoughts may change, but for now, there was little way to prove his worth while just standing around. But he was taking it slow, one step at a time. Learn more about his grove as he got used to this new land and observed how those within it acted. He would have to pay some visits to the borderlands of other herds, maybe. See what other stallions were here and how they went about doing things. The more Valentine knew, the better.
Mostly, he was just getting the feel for his own place first, and then he would start out to see what the other areas were like, and those that lived within those places. That was the general idea of what he had in mind to do in these early days. That, and find out the ways in which things were done here in order to get ahead. That was something he knew had to be done. Valentine would adjust to how he needed to better himself in these lands, and make sure that he wasn't passed by simply because he did not know what should be done. And once he figured out how to accomplish these things, he'd let his herd know.
However, he did know that alignment was not going to matter to him, would not change who he allowed to come and live within the grove. Why should it? Anyone could do good or bad things, no matter what they were labeled as. He didn't even know what Snow White was, or if it was a birth thing within these lands. That was something to give some thought to, though it still meant little to him; all equal chances in his eyes on those matters. That was the way it should be. Both sides probably had good traits to help with a herd, right? So that gave him something to look forward to.
Snow's comment on how the lost islands sounded like a beautiful place had Valentine shrugging. Some of the stories were not pretty, and he figures that no amount of great landscape could blot out the unfairness of the lands. So he doesn't say a words over it, instead focusing on Snow's response on being accepted into the herd, her wish to see the grove more. Valentine nods to her. "Of course. If you'll follow me, I'll show you the key points of the grove." He stated lightly with a smile, moving slowly before looking back to her to make sure she was following along with him.

It was crazy how just a couple words could make a smile come upon another's muzzle. It was something that always made the day seems so much brighter, but of course what was Snow going to do about the thought of this place. Of this new world that her daggers carried her over. Though there was not to much that she has done upon this place, but of course she did not let that take her happiness and wanting to explore and throw it out of the window. All she wanted to do was to bring happiness to the place along with a bit of anger if she needed to break it out, but right now she was not going to show that side to anyone just yet unless she needed to. Though she did not allow her mind to wander but to far. So she took in a deep breath of relaxing air and released it from her nares slowly.
Her eyes looking from around the place and then looked right over towards him with a smile there on her face. Flickering her banner side to side as she took in the words of the stag. Kind of excited about just what to jump around with a big smile there upon her face, but she kept herself calm and happy and just allowed a smile to slowly slip more onto her muzzle as she looked over the stag. "An I must say, Valentine. . .this place is beautiful. I think you picked a beautiful place to start a herd." She said with a smile there upon her face as she shifted her weight while looking around the place. Watching the birds flying over head and the sweet smell of the place drifting deep into her nares before she allowed her eyes to fall back upon the stag.
Weight shifting under her body as she took a couple steps in one direction before turning her skull back over to the bronco with thorns perked on her head. "Should we go this way or is there a better way to start?" She asked as she looked over the stallion for a moment before landing her eyes right into his eyes with a smile there right upon the face of this equine. Awaiting to see just what way he might know is the best way to go since he had probably been here longer than she has walked here on this place.
