PicturePERSONALITY.
Bold: Saphira is audacious and brash. Where other recognize the need for respect or silence, she will let words fly with no attention to consequences if she deems the recipient unworthy of reverence or obedience. There is no statement or actions off-limits for her; she will do and say anything she sees as necessary at the time. For this reason, she is prone to getting herself into less than favorable situations with her superiors.
Courageous: She is fearless, dauntless to the extent of foolishness. She knows no danger too great, and she will pit herself against anyone and everyone she deems appropriate, regardless of physical stature or status in terms of position. She has been in many a fight with both mare and stallion, and the number of those conflicts in regard to her young age is an testament to her bravery, however reckless it may be.
Noble: Despite her tendency for conflict, she has a keen sense of right and wrong, leaning strongly to the side of right. She is the type to speak for those with no voice and stand up for the weak, whether or not it is her place to do so. She is honest and sincere, and she truly has good intentions. She tries to be kind whenever possible, although she is not incredibly forgiving or accepting to horses that offend her.
Impulsive: She rarely gives extended thought to any of her intentions, words, or actions. For this reason, it is quite easy for her to bite off more than she can chew, as she has done numerous times in the past. She does things on a whim, and she does not consider the consequences that could follow soon after. Her mouth rarely has a filter. She is the type to fly off the handle at an Envious leader for the sole reason that they looked at her wrong.
Curious: She thirsts for knowledge, and she wants to have her nose in everything that is going on around her. As a filly, her favorite questions were: "why?" and "what is that?" She cares very little that something may not at all be her business.
Fixer: She wants to FIX everything. Be it an equine, an object, a situation: If it is broken, she wants to get it working again. She really has the best of intentions behind this particular trait. She is entirely empathic to others around her, and it pains her to see others suffering. If she sees someone frowning, she is instantly there to try and lift their spirits. With objects and situations, however, it can tend to be a pride thing.
Passionate: When she pursues something, she pursues it with all of her heart. There is no such thing as trying half-way, or slacking with Saphira. She cares deeply and with a power that cannot be shaken. She is exactly the type to die for her beliefs, or die for those she loves.
HISTORY.
Saphira was born to an unallianced herd far away from these lands. She knew nothing of light, dark, or neutral; all she knew was horses of different backgrounds and different personalities. Her father was a mustang with a leader's countenance, fearless and intelligent. Her mother was a quarter horse and thoroughbred cross, mild and quiet in her mannerisms. Saphira adored both parents, but she followed in her father's footsteps. His fearlessness was a model of what she wanted to be. He was the lead stallion, and the herd as an entirety looked upon him as a hero and a dauntless leader. He protected them from any threat, be it a predator or a natural disaster. He knew exactly what should be done at that moment, and he carried out his plans flawlessly while maintaining an unbreakable unity among his followers.
She spent the first couple of years of her life with her close-knit herd. She had many friends, as well as many enemies. Her brash personality was distasteful to some, and her passion and noble intentions were a treasure to others. Some followed her, and others sneered and spoke her name with venom and resentment. However, there was one thing about which all agreed: she was not ready to become a leader. She was too reckless, too impulsive. Even her father, and especially her mother, acknowledged that she was not ready to rule beside her father, or beside any stallion that took his place.
She was determined to prove them wrong. Within her eyes, she could rule. She could be a fearless and respected leader like her sire. So, she resolved to leave the herd and prove to everyone that she could, indeed, become a leader, someone to look up to. In the dead of night, she left her herd. She said a silent goodbye to her parents and friends; she left a rose beside her father and mother while they slept, and she left. An impulsive decision, that was; she would later regret not at least saying goodbye to her loved ones. Not a day goes by that she does not hope for the well being of her herd and family, but she will never turn back.
