Personality: Lillyan is a very gentle soul, caring of others, and encourages them to a certain degree. It is uncommon for her to pick a fight or even to participate in one. Although, she can be mischievous or playful when around stallions or other playful mares like herself. She can be a little impulsive and reckless at times, but Lillyan knows the boundaries of when something is appropriate or not and is not shy about reminding those around her. This mare is one that should not be judged by first glance, she will definitely give some surprises if you do.
-Loves: Warmth of the sun, playing around, enjoying wonders of every new day -Hates: Those who cause unnecessary problems, lies
History: Daughter of Liang and Molly, Lillyan was born during a most inconvenient time in her parents’ life although they still loved her with all their heart. It was during the transition between winter and spring after a large snow storm had ended, her sire was looking for a source of food and clean water that was closer to their shelter. During one of his trips out, Molly began to give birth with only Nila as her company. Thankfully, Liang’s absence that day was shorter than usual and he returned during the third phase of Molly’s foaling process. Lillyan was born with no problems but finding enough food and water for them to live off was difficult. Nila, come to find out, was technically Lillyan’s aunt because Liang was her older adopted brother, but since they were only a year a part, Lillyan had grown up considering her more as a sister than an aunt. By the end of that season, the four of them were skinnier than usual but they survived. Lillyan grew up without many troubles after that. Liang had found a valley for them to live in that had enough food, water, and shelter from the elements, humans, and other equine with ill-intentions. There the sun was warm and the air was fresh, every day held a fun adventure for Lillyan. She would play with the other foals that were around and race the birds that would take her challenge. The foal would always attempt to get Nila to join in the games but she would always decline. It confused the young foal but her mother would console her and tell her to leave to her father. Liang would talk with Nila often but nothing ever changed. Lillyan never gave up though, she was persistent to include Nila and once she even got her to join her for a little “rough-housing”. Lillyan lost of course, Nila was built differently than her, stronger almost. However, that mattered not to the chestnut patterned foal, she was just happy that Nila played with her. This small feeling of bliss did not last long when Nila decided to leave the small niche of peace that they lived in. Although both Liang and Molly said that Nila was too young to go out on her own at three and a half years, she still decided to leave them. The grulla coloured filly spoke with Liang in private before her departure and then took off. Lillyan ran after her but stopped at the mouth of the tunnel that led out of the safe haven, calling to her and asking her to stay. Nila only gave her a moment’s glance and said her last words before venturing out. Her father came and got her not too long afterward, Lillyan has not seen or heard from Nila since then. The following year, Lillyan emerged from the valley as a mare. The physical aspects like her coat pattern and colour were similar to her mother’s, lovely and sleek but her body’s structure and build was similar to her father’s, resilient and tone. Her parents had a hard time letting her go but they knew it was time and gave her their blessing. Since then, Lillyan has explored over many acreages before arriving at Avernia. Listening to the birds chatter, she decided to stay and find these horses of the “pure” or “light” herd in hope to join them.
