I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade had calmed down at the ring of Hael's voice as she answered him back. He for now, ignored the stallion and just let his words enter his mind, but didn't respond back. He still wasn't sure how exactly he was going to use the stud in their escape but he knew he'd figure it out eventually. Slade nickered warmly back to Hael as the humans began to enter the jail once again. This time they looked like they were on a mission. They carried all sorts or rope like objects in their hands and stopped in front of Haels stall. Slade snorted in warning and pinned his ears flat back. He still didn't trust them one bit, and from the looks of the stag next to him, he had good reason. As the humans ignored his motion of warning and entered Hael's stall he grew more furious. He pressed his large head against the bars and stared towards Hael as best as he could. The humans moved all about her and laced her with ropes and bright colored ribbon in her tail. The brute grew more and more angry with everything they did to her. Not knowing captive life he didn't know if they were hurting her or not and from the look he could see Hael was giving, she was just as confused and nervous. One more loud snort exited his nares as he stamped his front hoof against the floor. He was not playing games, these humans had better leave her alone. But all in an instant they dragged Hael from her stall and headed out the door. Thats when he smelled it. Hael was in heat. How could his miss such a sweet scent? He he gotten wrapped up in the moment these past couple days, seeing all the events they had gone though, or did she just come into season? A rush of emotions filled Slade, he still didn't get the reason for them taking Hael away and they surely didn't look like they were helping her legs in anyway. Slade glanced over to the other stag across from him as another human opened up the door to his stall. It hit Slade, like a sledge hammer to the face. He knew the point of the humans dragging off Hael, and following behind with the stag. He might not have ever been a captive horse, but mares in heat are supposed to make babies, and thats just what the humans wanted. After all, this was a breeding barn. Slades blood began to boil hot, he became erratic and took it all out on the prison they locked him in. He began thrashing his legs about, front legs stamping the ground and banging into the wood in the front of the stall. His hooves began to hurt from repeatedly hitting it, but he wasn't going to give up. Slade turned around and began barrel kicking the wood. FINALLY one board came loose, now it was just for the rest. You would think with all the commotion the humans would come running, but he figured they would rather want a prize foal over a wild temperamental stallion. He continued on, his one hind charcoal hoof and one hind white hoof flying at the boards that kept him from Hael. It only really took a few minutes, but it seemed like forever. He had finally knocked enough boards down so that he could step over them and escape. His hooves were throbbing and pasterns bleeding from where his legs went though some of the boards, but he ignored the pain and launched himself out of the stall. Slade trotted down the aisle and outside to see the unspeakable happening. In the arena next to the barn he could see the chestnut stag nuzzling Hael and seeming to speak to her softly. His emotions raged as the stag wasted no time in mounting her and doing his business. Slades heart seemed to change every color and emotion it possibly could within those few moments. He felt bad for Hael, he knew she wasn't ready to endure such a thing. She ran away when he had only just touched her jaw! He knew that he had feelings for her, yet was confused as to if they were potential mate feelings, or more of a fatherly figure feeling. of course, she was much younger then he... Slade experienced complete rage, betrayal, depression, hate and love in those moments. He just stood there, unable to move, unable to react as the deed was done. He could tell Hael was in so much distress, but there he was, frozen in his tracks unable to move.. So many thoughts ran through his head. /How could Hael let him do this. Did she want him? Did she like him? Heck, maybe she even knew him!... WHY!?.. / Whatever reason, Slade couldn't bring himself to believe it was her decision. And he thought that if she has known the stallion she would have at least told him so. Thus, more thoughts filled his cranium quickly. / Its HIM. HES THE REASON FOR THIS. He will regret the day he came across me forever!!/ His emotions began to rage and he felt himself starting to come out of his frozen state when suddenly one last thought hit his brain. /He did the deed, she took it.... BUT THE HUMANS MADE IT HAPPEN./ With that thought he watched as the humans struggled to control Tilney. He saw the stag break free and gallop off into the woods. /Good. If he ever comes across me again, I'll kill him./ Slade thought as he watched the humans regroup and rush over to Hael to take off her leg braces after she collapsed. This was his moment, his moment of heroism. Slade dashed off at a full on gallop towards the humans. If ever there was to be a vicious mauling by a horse, this was to be it. His blood was pumping in overdrive and head filled with the murderous things he could do to them. Even if his feelings were confused as to where he stood with Hael, he felt like was his duty to protect her and he would do that at all costs. As he approached the fence to the arena he soared over it with ease. He never had jumped that high before but didn't even think about it as he flew. Payback and blood was on his agenda. Slade was like a whirling mess of black and white as he approached the humans. He reared and struck out at the first one, nearly missing his head, though he wasn't worried, he'd rough them up a bit first. The second human then came beside him and began cracking him over his pelt with something, it stung like mad and made his pelt crack open. This only pissed off the brute more, as he spun around aiming his hind end at the man and with a well timed barrel kick, turned out his lights forever. The mans body crashed against the white fence next to them and lay motionless in the dirt. Now left the last man who called himself Fred. Slade had special plans for him. No, it would be too easy to just kill him. He wanted to torture the man like he tortured Hael. The stag lifted his front hoof and stamped the ground before him as he moved closer to the human, you could see the fear in his eyes. Slade took it in and used it as fuel to his already raging fire. The stag then reared once again and came down with his hooves on top of the man, pinning him to the ground. Slade held one hoof over his back as he leaned his nares down to the mans face and snorted as loud as he could into his ears. He wanted to make a point. The stag then followed up by rolling the man over onto his back so he could look Slade in the eyes. By this time the man was screaming for his life, in pain, hurt and scared. JUST like he had done to Hael. Slade then slipped his lips back revealing his pearly white ivories and lashed out at the man, grabbing the scruff of his jacket and whipping the man across the arena, throwing him also into the fence. Slade then focused his gaze back to Hael besides him. She was still on the ground and he felt and overwhelming bout of concern come over his body. Had she watched the whole thing? Had he scarred her for life? He was only trying to get even with those who hurt her and getting even with the stallion would have to come later, but he was sure it would happen. But before Slade could do anything else, he had one last mission to do. The walls that held them in, he was going to take them down. He quickly trotted over to the rails and barrel kicked at a few planks so they at least had an escape route. When he was satisfied he trotted back over to Hael and collapsed by her side. Every part of him was aching, including his heart. His legs were torn up and bleeding due to the force needed to break the wood and putting his legs right through some of them. His pelt was also bleeding where the human attacked him with the lashing whip. He tucked his legs under himself to lock away the pain and gazed his blue eyes into Hael's icy eyes. He could tell she was crying and the look on her face screamed innocent. The stag could only forgive her from here as the bond was growing awkwardly between them during every crazy moment they endured. Slade could only help but say 6 words with a smile and comfort in his voice before he dropped his head and neck across Hael's shoulder and rested until they both had enough strength to move on.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
--My verdict has come in.-- --It says I'm guilty for my sins this time.-- --I thought I could escape,-- --but then I finally felt the weight-- --of my crimes.-- --This is passion, it's not love.-- --Infatuation never ends up right.-- --At least I won't be alone tonight.-- --'Cuz I don't wanna be alone tonight.--
Hael didn't notice Slade until he came barreling through the fences. Overwhelming emotions crossed through her skull, and at this point she really didn't know what to think or feel anymore. His violence and actions against the humans scared her, leaving her silently watching him with a stone-cold blank stare. She surely didn't feel innocent anymore, even though she was young. After everything she and Slade were put through, she felt like she had experienced it all.
What happens if you get pregnant with the other stag's foal? What would Slade think? What would he do?
So many questions popped through her head as she laid motionless on the soft ground. A warm, moist feeling brought her back to reality as she felt Slade's body next to her, feeling the blood from his pelt and legs meet her thick coat instantly. In a sense, the feeling was soothing, but Hael almost immediately became worried again, running her icy eyes down his cuts and legs. She couldn't help but feel like it was all her fault again. Slade risked his life for her more than once, and to her, that was a debt that could never be repaid.
Hael wondered what would happen if they actually did achieve to escape. Would they try to forget all this? Would Slade forget about her, having to save her multiple times and getting annoyed? What would happen if she had that other stag's foal? Would Slade leave and forget about her? All of these questions made Hael even more queasy.
Slade's deep voice ran through her ears with ease, dancing like music through her skull. A simple question, really, but it contained so much more. Hael felt as if she absolutely had to join his herd now, seeing that he had saved her so many times. A quick, sudden, unexpected flash of fear appeared on her face, but was soon pushed away, a genuine smile pulling at Hael's pink lips in excitement for leaving this horrid place. With shaky legs, she stands, steadying herself and lowering her head under Slade's to help him up. He was in the same position she was, with legs bleeding, weak body. Her face was full of worry, pushing the thoughts of what just happened to her to the back of her brain and focusing her full attention on Slade and escaping.
Realizing that she had forgotten to answer his question, she turned to face him, her eyes gazing into his, full of emotion for the stag in front of him. A whisper escaped her lips, and were the last words she spoke until they were off sight and back to freedom.
"I will do anything for you, Slade. I will join you. You have my word."

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade had closed his eyes after dropping his head and neck across Hael's shoulder. Within a few moments the blood running from his legs and pelt had stopped flowing and already began the process of drying. Soon this would all become an old memory. Well, most of it at least. That always depended on if Hael would take, and actually produce a baby. Then everything that had happen on this very day would be reminded to them everyday they all saw that foal. As the brute rested many more thoughts ran though his mind. He still didn't know where he really felt with Hael, feelings wise. He was still quite confused but in all reality they had gone though so much together yet really only just met. Another thing that popped into his mind was how would he /really/ feel if Hael did have a foal from that stag who couldn't keep himself off her. Only time was to tell, he decided. Though through all the events that had occurred, he knew one thing. He did not blame Hael for any of it. Soon he could feel the mare begin to move beneath him. He hadn't really been able to read her emotions on the whole ordeal due to relaxing his eyes for a bit but either way he knew he was sure to find out how she felt. Slade began to shift too, releasing the weight of his head and neck off the mare so she could get up. His eyes began to open as she stood. They caught a glimpse of red on her pelt, yet he didn't think she was hurt, that was when he noticed it was his blood; must have rubbed her a little too closely. Once she was standing his eyes focused on to her better. The sun was shining from behind her bright white body and it made her pelt glow. Slade couldn't help but let a rush of emotions run though his bodice, she looked soo... beautiful. A slight smile tugged at his velveteen muzzle as he gazed at her above him. Soon the mare opened her maw to speak, and finally give him an answer to the question he had been waiting so patiently for... /Slade I'll do anything for you./ Rang though his listening devices as she finished her sentence. He was happy, of course, but the way she said it almost slightly bothered him. He didn't want her to make a decision because everything that had happened. He wanted her to make whatever decision she desired, this was about what she wanted and not him. The stag was feeling somewhat back to normal. Pain was only a small thing for him he never really let it bother him so with it pushed behind him he rose to his hooves to stand beside Hael. His soft muzzle stretched out to her pelt as he began to lick the small stains of blood from her coat. He couldn't have her walking around like she had just been in a battle, and he for sure wasn't going to let his blood taint her pristine white hide. When finished he smiled and nudged Hael to follow as he walked over to the fence he had broken and walked through it. They were on their way to freedom once again, back to the herd-land in which he had just claimed and cherished. Before continuing on much further though he stopped in his tracks and looked behind him to Hael, speaking in a very sincere tone he added. "Herd life is a choice many wild equine face Hael. It is a choice that is simply up to the one asked, not those doing the asking. I don't want you to feel trapped with me simply for everything we have gone though, I want you to stay with me, if YOU want YOU to stay."
With that he turned and walked on, she would have one last chance to choose, and deep down, he hoped she really did want to stay...

The golden spotted mare was trotting through the forest, her attention not on the trees she was slipping through but on thoughts of her brother. She had just talked to another equine who had said some more about him, where they had last spotted him. She felt like she was searching for a ghost, and a sneaky one at that. Everyone she talked to warned her about him though, how terrible he was. She just couldn’t believe that, she could not be related to someone that…evil.
The path she travelled led her to an opening, her blue eyes taking in the surroundings. It looked like any other opening in the woods, but the smell made her nostrils flare. What was that? It was the smell of others, a stallion at least. This must be someone’s herd land, it was marked as so, but no one was here to claim it. Smell was the only contributing factor to her thoughts, there wasn’t much else here. Had the herd already moved on? Or did they leave for a much worst reason?
The curious mare could not leave though, her mind now focused on who had been here and what they were like. She wondered how many there had been, where they had gone. What if they knew her brother? It was for these very reasons that she had to stay and wait for their return. The scent seemed semi-fresh, so the others had not been gone for too long.
Bones knew she was probably trespassing on someone’s clearly marked territory, but she had to stay and see who was here. If anyone would even return. Just staying for a bit would not hurt anything. She wanted to meet others, she needed more information. And a small chat would not hurt anything. As long as they were friendly. She hoped they were friendly. The curious equine stayed around, smelling and investigating the land. Whoever had picked this for herd lands was smart, it would be good.

Standing weakly at the edge of the forest, young Tilney watched what unfolded over at the farm. The patched horse had broken out of his stall, jumped the fence and then killed the two humans keeping them captive. He watched for a few moments, turning his head away every few moments, questioning if what Slade was doing was right. It was so violent. When he looked at Hael, his blood ran cold with guilt. H'd finally caught site of her, laying there, motionless on the earth. Had he done this to her? He felt like he'd committed the worst crime in the world. He took a few leaping steps forwards and called out to them. From where he was standing, so far away, it looked like she wasnt getting up.
Seeing the motionless bodies of the humans laying on the ground and against the now slightly demolished round yard, thoughts crept into his mind. This stag was Haels friend, possibly even her mate. He didn't know. Whatever relationship he had with her, it was more then what Tilney had with her. Maybe Tilney was next on his kill list? The thought made him creep back to the treeline. He wouldnt sick around to wait and see.
He waited only a few more moments, seeing Hael stand and the two embrace. that was enough to know the two didnt need his help escaping. Right now he needed water. With the last of the strength he had in him he turned and started at a beating canter through the tall green trees, his hooves colliding with the leaves and grass that lined the forest ground. When water was in sight, he stopped to take in his pure enlivenment for the fact that he finally had water. he'd gone almost a week without a single drop. though as he took another step, his thick blood could no longer keep up with him, and he dropped to the ground, almost completely unconscious.
The youthful stallion lay settled in the leaves and clover, The memories of what had happened that past day whirling through his mind like distant dreams. He wondered what would happen when Slade found him? would he kill him? There was no way he could even get up, let alone fight. He was also wondering what Hael thought of him. He wondered if she thought he was just a young stallion who couldnt help himself, and couldnt welcome the opportunity the humans had giviven him any more. or the truth; that he genuinely didnt want to do it. He'd only done as she'd said in the end - He wasnt going to do anything. Infact, his plan was to fight back. He wished he could explain this all to her, and to Slade.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Slade's words echoed throughout her skull in a warm, loving song. She was glad that he could, in a sense, read her mind and read her thoughts, but scowled at herself for being so obvious about everything. She followed Slade out of the place, taking a couple glances around, remembering the place where she grew up and reminiscing about her mother. Hael shook her head as Slade spoke more, coming back to reality at his sweet, velvety voice.
'I don't want you to feel trapped with me simply for everything we have gone through, I want you to stay with me, if YOU want YOU to stay.'
A genuine smile revealed on Hael's lips at his words, so meaningful and bold to her. She couldn't help but be fully dazzled by his speech and the way he spoke. Though she was young, she knew that her heart was with Slade. And though she hadn't experienced true love, or any kind of love, as matter of fact, she was willing to throw her spirit, body, and soul into him and simply be his. In her eyes, the age didn't matter. True, she was still young and naïve, full of innocence, and she wondered if Slade was thinking about that; the age difference, but it really didn't matter to her. All she knew, was that she was with Slade, by his side, and already in his heart, a small portion at least.
Hael's mind was racing with happy thoughts about the future and being with Slade, and at the thought of a foal, her expression changed. Once happy, her face was now dull and deep in thought. She couldn't escape the fact that she could have a foal with another stag, but she truly hoped that the breeding wouldn't work, and maybe it was too early a start in her heat. Realizing she was still in heat, she clamped her tail down, scared that another stag would come and do the same thing. As her thoughts raced, she grew unaware of her surroundings and promptly tripped on her feet, causing her stumble and fall foolishly to the ground, fully embarrassed. Once on the ground, a scent whirled to her nostril's, a scent she had smelled before, a scent that she could definitely recognize if she saw the other.
"Hello?"
She cried out, stumbling back to her feet, her icy eyes glazing over the trees back and forth. She was frightened and afraid, but oh so curious on who and what this scent might be.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade walked along as Hael began to follow him. His insides began glowing as he got a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, It was unusual, like the first time he met his ex... He shook his coat and tried to think about something else, after all they had gone through and now these feelings for her.. it was leaving him confused and he couldn't really have that right now. Right now he needed to have a clear mind for everything to come. That stallion that bred Hael was out here somewhere and that bothered him enough. Plus he didn't know how his land claim was holding up since he had left for so many days he could only hope it was still his land for the claiming. The stag walked at a steady pace while he kept turning his head behind him to check on Hael while she followed, he couldn't help but smile before he let his sweet and almost charming vocals sing out. "So Hael, I guess its you and I to battle the world together eh? Glad you decided to follow, in fact, I'm very glad." He stopped to look into her eyes, but as he turned he noticed her fall to the ground quite clumsy and when she regained her footing, he heard her speak... Suddenly, he let his mind clear as once again it became fogged over with the thoughts of Hael and his land. That was when the stench reached his nares. Out of complete anger erupting inside him he reared into the sky and struck out his front legs across the air before dropping to the earthen ground with a thud. The stench, one he remembered, was of the stag who took Hael's innocence.
Slade had known he would show up sooner or later, but really thought later. However, he was ready to deal with him now, whatever it took he would get even for Hael's sake.
The brute tipped his nose into the air in inhaled deeply, seemed like it was coming from the north, right towards his claimed land. A rather loud snort echoed though the trees as he released his anger within his bodice. Suddenly, the thought of Hael popped into his mind. He had to protect her at all costs, not only was she a dear friend to him, but also now his herd member. Beyond that, this was one battle he didn't want her to witness, he had done enough to scar her brain this far.
Slade looked back at the sweet heart warming and innocent mare, but tried to keep the overwhelming emotions hidden as he spoke. "Hael, stay here." He didn't want to worry her, but didn't want her to follow either. With those short words he was off, trotting through the large pine trees towards the other stags stench. The night was growing near as the sun began to dim over the horizon, Slade only had a little bit of time to finish this before complete darkness was upon the forest. Not to mention the bitter cold it was becoming over night. As he grew closer he slowed his pace a little to a shorter strided jog, Right then, he laid eyes on the brute, he was plastered on the ground and looked completely helpless. He looked weak, fragile and almost sick. Slade knew he didn't even want to fight an uneven battle, what pride was there in that? The stag was already clearly suffering and because of that Slade was proud. He was getting what he deserved for doing what he did to Hael. Slade paused while he looked over the stag from above, he wanted to badly to just crush his skull in, but knew that his suffering was a better punishment for his actions. With those thoughts among Slade's brain all he did was purely opened his maw and spat on the stallion before his voice rang out into the crisp cool air.
"Filth. Nothing but Filth. I hope as you lay here you think about what you did. Let your actions be a constant reminder of your pain."
With those words he turned to leave the stag but paused ever so slightly, something in his mind wondered if he would respond. Though it was probably in the stags best interests to not respond, it just might only fuel the anger within him...

His bronze coat shimmered in the setting sun. He had no idea what he'd do now. Would he be able to reach water? or would he just stay here and probably die? He forced himself out of his sleep and looked up at the golden trees. his slender form scattered amongst the fauna was now struggling to continue his breath. His eyes closed once more, almost drifing into a sleep again before a panging scent hit his nostrils. His green eyes flicked open and he looked out around him, wondering who was near.
He recognised one of two scents; it was the young females scent. At least they had escaped. Though he was still worried about what that stallion might think, and what he might do to settle a score. Tilney knew that if they came any closer, that stallion would want a fight, and he was in no condition for it. He tried standing, but his legs were nothing but floppy limbs cast off his body. He slumped himself up off a tree, leaning up to watch the darkening forest around him
After hearing the stags heart stopping snort echo throughout the frontier, the scent grew and became more and more vibrant by the minute. Tilney stiffened and braced himself for what may come. He could hear racing, angry hoofbeats and just sighed. he hated fighting and conflict. he never agreed with it. he didnt udnerstand how he thought this would change anything besides satisfy the stallion - and that would make him selfish.
Soon the pale black and white stallion arrived between the trees like a ghost. Tilney didnt move an inch, he just stayed frozen, watching with his green and golden eyes. As the stallion came closer, and stood over him, Tilney braced himself once more for a thud to the head or a barrel to the ribs, but nothing came but a sob of spit on his face, and cold harsh words. The stag turned, and began stepping away. Tilney raised his head and looked at him closely with his amber eyes
"She told me to do it" the young stad whispered through a choked throat "'Just do it' she said 'We wont be able to leave until you do' is what she said to me." Tilney told the brute "I never wanted to do that to her, but I agreed; the only way we were going to get out was if..." he trailed off and then looked coldly at the stallion who had just spat on him and called him filth.
"And look... here you are" Tilney spoke with a devious smile.
He looked away from the angry stag who stood before him and then looked ahead of him, sighing deeply before he pushed his fornt legs ahead of him, using the tree to help him onto shaky feet. he coul barely stand, but maybe it was enough to walk to the water.
"I ever imagined having a foal this way" he whispered miserably

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
'Hael, stay here.'
She was confused and frightened at what Slade would do to the other stag, but did what she was told. With her head down low, she tried to pick up any noises coming from where they were, trying to understand what they were saying, but she could only hear the trees and the gentle wind pushing them around. Soon, shadows appeared and the sky grew dark, chasing away the light and warmth of the sun.
Hael's body started to shake, cold and shivering from the night, and nervous and afraid of being alone in the dark. She moves her feathered legs, following Slade's trail and scent, and when finally noticing him and the other stag, stopped behind the trees, hidden from sight. Hearing Slade's harsh words took her back in surprise. She never even thought Slade had a mean bone in his body, considering he took after a strange mare to save her.
'"She told me to do it. 'Just do it' she said. 'We wont be able to leave until you do' is what she said to me."'
Hael snorted in surprise at his words, afraid of what Slade might think of that. True, she said those words, and for what she knew and saw growing up, other horses weren't allowed to leave. At that point and situation, she just wanted to get out of that arena. She was weak and scared at the time, and even though what she said was true, she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt run through her body and cover her face. She felt bad for the stag, so weak and so helpless. It reminded her of herself not too long ago.
Stepping from behind the trees, Hael walked right past Slade without a glance and straight to the stag, struggling to even stand. Placing herself beside him, she positioned her hip below his, curling her neck under his and by his shoulder to help him stand.
"You look miserable. Let's get you somewhere warm."
Her icy eyes searched for his. She wanted him to know that she was okay with everything that had happened, and that she knew that he only tried to help. Switching her gaze back at Slade, she became serious, her face covered in a guilty, desperate expression, all the while searching Slade's face and body for any actions or flinches.
"Slade, we need to get him somewhere warm. He's too weak to even stand. I presume you have a spot on your land?"
Hael asked innocently, hoping Slade would help, but knowing that they all were walking on thin lines. True, Hael had a big heart full of love, but she was often too kind to others, letting them run her over and hurt her, just like her mother did. But Hael being Hael, she knew she had to try and help the stag next to her. Waiting for Slade's response and hoping for the best, she turned back at the stag next to her, realizing that they still hadn't gotten each other's names yet, even after all they had been through.
"My name is Hael. What's yours?"

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. The words that rang out of the stags maw shot like fingernails on a chalk board down his ear drums. He really couldn't bring himself to believe that Hael agreed to the madness that had happened, that Hael TOLD him to do it. All of these words hit him like a knife stabbing through his heart, which only made him grow more cold and angry. Still turned away from the stag, he could pick up the smell of Hael growing closer, yet he did not want to see her right now. Slade in a way felt betrayed. As the stag spoke 'and look here you are' Slade spun around and snapped back with arrogance in his tone of voice. "I escaped on my own, I beat down the jail on my OWN with no help to you. So don't even try to think you helped anything at all. Hael was just stolen of her Innocence in a matter of meer minutes after meeting you. I do have to say, thats probably a new record for fastest foal conceived that I've ever known. Congrats on your accomplishment." Slades words were cold and icy as his heart also seemed glazed over. Apparently the stag had not noticed all the dried blood upon Slade's legs indicating that he had put up quite a fight. Soon enough Hael appeared. Slade merely ignored her and let her do as she pleased. Apparently she wasn't as bothered by the act of the stallion as he was. It was wrong and uncalled for, in his mind and heart a stallion should never steal something like that from a mare, it just wasn't right. Force breeding or even if Hael HAD agreed, still it was wrong she was young and probably didn't know much better, but either way Slade was betrayed by his best friend and now herd member, and this piece of filth stag before him. Neither one did he want to speak to, or even look at right now. The emotions were boiling inside him and he knew he had to just step away before fireworks blew between the trio.
Shortly after Hael's arrival with his back now turned from both of them again, he could hear Hael's voice. She was talking nonsense of the stag needing help, and suggesting to take them back to his herd. That right there went against every rule in the book. Slade just came in here and tried to make the stag feel like the worthless rapist that he was. Until Hael marched in and got all mushy for the stag and suddenly wanted to help him. She undermined him and that was enough to push him off the edge. Slade kept what cool he could and took in a deep breath before turning slowly to face the two equines behind him.
"Do as you please Hael. Bring him, follow behind me then. Not like I seem to matter much to you anymore anyway. So tend to him, make sure the one who ripped the innocence from you stays alive, but I won't have a part in it beyond giving him a temporary place to stay."
Slades words were still cold and heartless. It wasn't that he didn't care, he did care, but not for stags who do such a deed. Theres ALWAYS another option ALWAYS. No matter what situation you find yourself in life, Slade had always believed that fate could be changed and what happens, happened for a reason... but this, this could have been prevented, something could have changed and he really felt like the stag could have had another option... anything but take something so precious away from a young mare. One mare whom he didn't even know at that! Through all his anger he tried to push past it, but really couldn't. The hate in his mind and heart for the stag would probably always be there, and the disappointment in Hael was now resting there are well. With a shake of his head he walked on. He didn't really have much more to say to either of them and in the back of his mind he knew Hael would take offense to what he said but that the same time, these two equines were pretty likely to be sharing the life of a foal together in nine short months and that put Slade on the outside looking in to what could have been. It hurt him, but the act of the stallion hurt him the most whether Hael told him to or not that was a very fine line to walk, and he walked it. Slade continued moving toward his herd lands with the feeling that the pair was following as he didn't really bother to pay much more attention then that. As he grew closer to his lands his pace slowed. He could smell the scent of another mare growing stronger... It almost seemed... It was. The scent was coming from inside his held lands. With an irritated snort Slade gave the ground a quick paw letting Hael and her mystery man know to stay outside for a moment while he delt with the intruder. His stones were put into motion at a brisk trot as he moved through the vine covered entrance and into the lands he called home. In the distance he could see the bodice of a champagne colored mare, from afar she looked quite beautiful and his heart almost leaped. After all the emotions he had running through him today, mainly anger, he was ready for a change of heart and to snap out of the dark place he was in. A small yet almost chilling smile creeped across his muzzle as he neared the mare, yes, she was quite a looker. Slade stopped only feet before her with a jolt as his mane and tail slid forward with his sudden stop in movement. Without much hesitation or thought his maw opened to release his vocals. "I see you have stumbled across my lands, Miss. I do believe introductions are in order then. I'm Slade lead of the herd that resides here, and who might you be?" Instead of his previous cold heart and chilling words, these were rather soft and kind, somehow this mare was slightly taking his attention off all that had blown up around him these last couple days and he quite enjoyed that. He hated having to be mean, he hated having his emotions just snap, but he still believed it was the only way he would ever be able to handle a situation like the one he was placed into. Now Hael and the stag were out there, right outside his lands waiting to join him. Just the aurora and vibe this mare was putting off was not that of an envious. He was acting on a whim and a hint of good luck he was so hoping to finally have as he opened his maw to release a loud whinny for Hael and her companion that it was indeed ok for them to enter. After his whinny his attention was placed back on the mare as his opticals looked over her while he waited for her response to his words. This could be the dawn of a new day..

Bones had stayed at the herd grounds she had found for a while, waiting for whoever claimed these parts to come back. No equine would claim and mark such great land to just abandon it later. That did not make sense to her. Though her curiosity was raging about who might have lived here, she always had that nagging sense that she needed to move on to find Fear.
When the mare was mindlessly eating the grass beneath her and her mind was wandering, the scent of another filled her nostrils. Had the owner of this land finally came back? Or had someone came to take this land? She threw her head up, ears perking up as she stared off in the direction she heard the other creature coming from.
A large stag appeared, dark in color, and for a moment she was intimidated by his large and handsome presence. What if he became angered that she had intruded in his territory? Maybe she had done something wrong, maybe she had crossed a line she had not known about. Though the paint stallion was eye catching, she could not let his good lucks trick her before she decided if the situation was safe or not.
Her blue eyes stayed fixated on the stallion, and the longer she watched him the less intimidating he seemed. She began to relax, he seemed welcoming. He seemed to have a friendly air around him once he had laid eyes on her. His words confirmed that he seemed to be friendly, his deep voice welcoming and even happy. It cleared away any doubt and fear that she might have had before.
“Hello…my name is Bones. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve been waiting, hoping someone would return to these lands so I could meet them. I hope I have not upset you…” She said easily, her soft voice trying to hold back the excitement of meeting another. She loved to speak to others, meet interesting new equines and befriend them. She was always curious about others, and of course she was curious about her brother.
At the sound of his whinny, her ears perked up and she took in a deep breath. She knew she did not smell just one horse. She thought she had smelt the faint scent of a mare, but had not been sure. Did this dashing stallion have a mate with him? Maybe even a small family? By his looks and his charming voice, she was sure that must be it. “Are there others from this herd as well?”
The mare was too curious for her own good, she asked too many questions and she talked too much. Horses got bored with her easily, and sometimes even irritated. She could not help it though, her lips often spoke words before she could even think about it. She did bite her tongue when it came to asking questions about Fear though. She found that he was sometimes a touchy subject, and she liked to breach such a subject after she talked to the other for a while.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade began to try to relax he knew all the stress of everything that had happened the last couple of days was never good to be lingering over a lead of the herd. All horses who resided here would be looking up to him for leadership and guidance and if his mind was filled wit jumbled thoughts then how could he give just that? Slades mind then began to race with so many questions and mixed emotions but he quickly shoved everything away for later. Right now he had to deal with the mare standing before him. She was pretty, no doubt, but his emotions couldn't really decide whether he would enjoy to company right now, or if he would rather just be alone.
He shifted his weight and gazed toward her as her vocals rang through his listening devices. They swiveled atop his head as he listened to her, and looked for sounds of Hael and the stag. The females voice however, caught his attention, she seemed giddy and almost happy to have come across another equine. That didn't bother Slade, infact he was leaning now towards company anyway, would keep him talking and his mind off everything else at least. Maybe this mare wouldn't be such a back stabber at least. Hael's actions just left him so confused and hurt in a small way.
The brute tipped his head as she said her name was Bones, though he waited for her to finish. Once she was done talking he couldn't help but ask. "Bones hmm? Thats quite an interesting and unusal name. Though, I like it!" He said with a half smile growing across his maw. His blue eyes gazed for a moment into hers. Slade could tell she really was pretty harmless and really just stumbled upon the land, there was no other alarms setting him off to indicate that she was lying anyway.
Following that he saw her fidget but a moment, probably smelling Hael as she spoke at the same time, confirming his guess. Slade let out a small sigh and answered back slowly, almost glum. "Yes, there is one other. She is helping an injured stag into the lands for a temporary stay while healing I suppose." He wanted to talk about it, get it all off his chest, but Slade was more a brute of privacy. He believed that what happened between others, especially something so crazy and personal, belonged between only them. So with that, he kept his mouth shut on the topic. Instead, he changed the tone of the conversation. "So there Bones. Have you looked around? If so, what do you think?" Slade's voice was inquisitive and almost charming, he really did just want to know another equines opinion on his beloved home. "And also, may you just be passing though or looking for something a bit more... permanent?" He really deeply hoped she'd be looking for a home to stay, with the drama lately it would be nice to have another horse around to kind of loosen the tension, and with Hael tending to the stag he really wanted to almost avoid that area all together. He knew he would end up having to confront the both of him, but he was more of a stag whom if he was in the human world, would punish most horrible crimes with the electric chair. Still, in his mind, he couldn't overcome the fact that Hael told him to do it, and that the stag sunk low enough to actually comply. Though now, his mind was focused on just having a gentle conversation with this new mysterious visitor.

As Bones watched the stallion in front of her, she felt that he was uneasy or that his attention was somewhere else. He even seemed stressed. She was usually good at feeling other’s emotions, and right now she was worried that she had walked in at a bad time. She did not want to intrude on him or any of his herd members if they were dealing with something.
As he talked though, he seemed interested and that calmed her. Maybe she was simply over reacting and thinking too far into it. Yes, that must be it. She had not talked to another equine for quite some time, and the excitement had simply messed up her judgment. A smile crept up on her lips when she heard his comment about her name though.
“Yes, it is quite odd. It’s grown on me,” She murmured softly, trying to repress the memories of the all the skeletons she had grown up around. They were not pleasant thoughts, and she hated when the memories forced its way through the walls she had placed up. She was sure, at one point, her mother had given her a real name, but Bones described her more than anything else ever could.
The mare was brought back to reality upon hearings Slade’s voice again, and this time she knew she heard something in his voice as he spoke of the other herd members. Or one herd member and a…visitor. She assumed these herd members were what caused his earlier distress, and she had to hold back from asking a bunch of questions. It was none of the mare’s business.
“Oh your herd lands are very nice, I am sure you are very proud to stake claim to such a nice place,” The mare complimented his territory, as it was a very nice and idea place for a herd. She was quite surprised someone had not claimed it before him. She was surprised by his next words, and was not sure how to answer. She had a brother to find, but the company of other’s was intriguing.
“To be honest, I guess I’ve never really thought about it. It’s passed my thoughts, to find a permanent home. Right now though, I’m sort of on a journey,” She murmured, not really sure if she should bring It up yet. She had still not gotten over the shock of his sudden question. She figured it would come up, it usually did, but not that soon. He only knew her name. She took a deep breath and asked her nagging question though, “Have you ever heard of a horse called Fear? I’m looking for him…”

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade waited as the mare answered back, about his inquiry on the name of Bones. He half smiled and nodded while she spoke but didn't chime in at all yet. It was indeed quite a different name, but hey, to each is their own, whatever floated other peoples boats was their own business. For the most part at least. He shifted his weight as he stood before her and listened intently as she opened her maw to speak yet again. Her vocals sounded sweet as she almost rambled the words on, he could tell she was very eager to talk and probably had not seen or had company in a while. Thus, she was eager to talk, even to a stranger such as Slade. She had commented this time on his herd lands, and how she did like them. Please, he released a smile across his maw, yet still waited to answer back, he could tell she still had more to talk about, and still one more question of his to answer, he waited and then listened as she spoke. He made note that she was on a journey and then when she asked about a stag named Fear he hesitated. That must be the journey she was on, and go figure, Slade did have a bit of information on the stag. Only a little however. Though, he answered back in order of her answers. "Why thank you Bones. Indeed, I like it here as well. The apple trees just blossomed last month and produced the most delicious apples I have tasted in a long time. The creek over there has excellent cool waters even in the summer. Really quenchs the thirst, and the waterfall keeps flowing water coming in all winter long. And that hill up there" he spoke, while flicking his head toward the hill on the north end of the lands ".. is where I stand for most of my day, and watch over the herd. Well most days, when they don't go galavanting around...." He stopped, almost biting his lip and shut up. He needed to just let go of his anger and appoligise to Hael soon. His actions were pretty harsh, but he still stood by what he believed, in any case for any reasons, what the stag did to her was wrong. Either way, he had no reason to be talking to any other equine about the matter, it was between the trio. Still, stuck in the back of his head was the thought of Hael having that stags foal, it just utterly bothered him. Slade shook his head quickly and moved on to the following words Bones spoke. "Ah, a journey eh, and I suppose this journey has something to do with this Fear stag, ,mhmm?" Slade chimed in, almost charming and seductive with his words. "I'll make you a deal there Bones. I'll tell you what I know, if you give it a day or two here and see how you like it. Possibly consider these lands your new home, eh? If you don't like it here, or don't like me, then you'd also be free to go, just give it a shot?" He smiled and flicked his head flipping his forelock from his blue eyed eyesight. He hoped she would take his offer, in fact, they both had something to offer each other.

As Slade spoke of his herd lands, she could hear the pride and happiness in his words. She could tell how much he treasured this place, though she felt like he had claimed this place not too long along. His words formed the images of all the places he talked about, as she had been to all of these places while waiting, and could even see him going about the things he talked about.
This time while she listened she knew she heard something in his voice, like he was holding something back. The mare was curious, that was an understatement, but if he wanted to speak about it he would say it. She could not ask, that would be rude. And she could not leave a bad impression now. They had just met after all and she was still trying to get a feel for this stallion. She did find herself tensed at the words about Fear, his tone suggested something else. It was clearly not like that. He was her brother, she just wanted to find him.
When the stag said he knew of him, her interest peaked immediately. Maybe this information would be the information that let her find him. His trade though, she did not know if she could do such a thing. She did not have the time to stop and wait anymore, she had already been here for far too long waiting for them to return. The golden mare could only think that the more time she spent here, the more space Fear made between him and her.
“It’s not that kind of journey, it’s not anything like that actually,” She said quickly, wanting to clear that up with him. His seductive tone, to her, implied that maybe she was looking for him as a mate or a long lost mate. Which she was not. “If there is no other way I can get the information from you, I guess I could stay here for a day or two. The company would be nice. I’ve been traveling for two years and sometimes I don’t see others for a long time,” She mused easily, again she was rambling on as she got nervous. Her voice even seemed somewhat happy at the thought, nice company for a few days and information about her brother.
Bones was not sure of this stag yet, what exactly he was looking for and wanting. He invited her to join rather quickly, and that seemed strange to her. She figured someone who placed such a high value on their herd lands would be a bit stricter when it came to letting in members. He was charming though, she liked that, and he was quite handsome. The mare had to admit that she would not mind having him for company the next few days.
