Tilney could alomst feel the icy words spitting from Slades mouth as he turned and lashed mouthfuls of envious words towards him. Tilney could only frown and shake his head. He disagreed with him, completely. "whatever you say Slade" the young stag murmured weekly, his golden obrs focussing on the brutes ice blue ones.
The curious scent of the sweet mare lingered closer and Tilney caught her sneaking behind a tree. Seeing her made his hide shake, and his eyes and jaw clench shut. He wasnt sure how he could ever deal with the guilt. it was eating at him, and taunting him. After he opnened his eyes once agiain, he saw that she appeared shocked and saddned by Slades words, like she iddnt think he was capable of speaking that way. Tilney then frowned slightly as the mare drew nearer in small feathered steps to come and stand beside him.
Her body stood neck to him, her hip and shouder against his as she leaned under and supported his heavy head up. Tilney tried to step away, wanting to refuse this kindness from the mare he'd just corrupted, but his body would hardly allow him. "No" he breathed under her caring, hospitable words. "I wont allow you to be so kind right after i was so brutal to you" He whispered to her, hanging his head as the guilt stabbed viciously at his heart.
He knew that if he stayed here alone, he would die. Plus, he needed to live so that he could find a way to make it up to this young mare. He then just exhaled and looked to slade as he spoke "i need water" he told her, now asking for her care. As slade stepped off through the dark trees, The mare spoke, introducing herself as Hael. Tilney smiled the best he could and then started off, leaning on her as they followed Slade.
"Hael... your name is very pretty" He breathed and then looked to her eyes "Tilney. My name is Tilney" he spoke softly as he stepped with her through the grass. He closed his eyes, resting them as he slowly stumbled with her after slad,e replying on her to guide him. He had so many questions for her, but his main one was how long they would know if she was in foal or not. He was wordly, but mares usually kept to themselves about that kind of thing. He just hope he hadnt burdened her with a foal this young.
He soon heard the trickling of water and a slight splashing noise. His eyes opened, and he saw that they ere nearing a wide blue river. His heart leapt as they got cloer and closer, and soon enoguh he was walking on his own four hooves. His pace quickened before he got to the sandy riverside and dived his muzzle into the cool aqua. he took gulps and gulps of the cold water, letting it fill him up. His shaky legs could not support him any longer on their own and collapsed under him, but he continued drinking, then wrenching his head out of the water and laying in the river sand.
After a few minutes, The water had drenched his body, and he was fine to stand. It was like his body was re-starting. He took another few sips before he turned and stumled back over to Hael. It would take a few days for him to come around fully. They continued on, twalking through a slightly different landscape. it was so much greener here. They were asked to halt outside of a vined arch and he then sighed, wondering why they had to wait. After beeing alone for a few minutes, Tilney glanced to the young mare and spoke at a whisper;
"I cannot tell you how sorry I am. I actually think this guilt could kill me"

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade stood and listened while the mare's voice danced into his ears. As she spoke that her journey was not of which he thought Slade couldn't help but keep a straight face. The way she acted a bit offended on the topic made him believe that it was something that was a touchy subject for her, and that maybe he might not want to push too many buttons in that direction. Though, sometimes, he felt like being a button pusher, and right now, he needed a good stress relief. A smile grew upon his previously emotionless maw as he listened to the rest of her words. He quickly added in his thoughts as soon as she finished her sentence. "Well, if it is to be such a horrible thing, to stay here for just a little while, I do suppose you could find your information somewhere else aye?" he said with a half smile, twinkle in his eye and a small chuckle following behind. He adjusted his stance and flipped his forelock again before adding more to his previous statement. "Though, you seem like you want the infomation bad enough, and like you said, you've been alone for a while, so whats better then the good company of another otherwise bored or lonely equine for a day or two?"
Just then, an idea popped into his head as the first snowfall of the season was upon them. Snow began to trickle down from the heavens and landed on the equines and everything around him. This equine hated the cold, but loved the snow it was much like a love hate relationship between them. Ideas then began popping into his head. Slade wanted to have some fun, no he needed to have some fun.. A devious smile tugged at his lips as he flicked his head and tail and trotted off deeper into the herd lands as his voice rung out taunting Bones. "Catch me if you can then, Bones." He dashed towards the middle of the lands and ducked behind an apple tree. Such a silly place to hide, the leaves had fallen the tree was bare and left Slade exposed. He quickly snorted at himself and dashed off towards the tall pines on the north west side next to the waterfall. His legs carried him over the ground smoothly as the snow kept falling from the heavens. This time of year as long as it was snowing he was happy and content. He loved the way the snow laced everything in white. As he moved swiftly across his land he took in a deep breath and just enjoyed life. His snow white mane lapped at his black and white neck and his bleached tail followed behind like a waving banner in the wind he created. Slade was beginning to come to peace with the war that had been waging within himself over all this Hael and Tilney drama. No doubt, he always liked to have a hand in drama of some sort, made for an interesting day, but tomorrow was his birthday and all he really wanted was peace. Slade stopped short as he came to the tall pines beside the falls, he took another deep breath of the fresh crisp air and paused to watch a snowflake land on his nose before picking up a trot into the pines. He halted in the middle of them where he was hidden, but could make out figures in the distance, and just watched for Bones. After they both had some fun, he would tell her news about the Fear stag she had been asking about. Though, with the new he had it was probably best to get Bones in a happy state of mind as well. Eyes fixed on the herd lands as Slade watched...

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
'Do as you please Hael. Bring him, follow behind me then. Not like I seem to matter much to you anymore anyway. So tend to him, make sure the one who ripped the innocence from you stays alive, but I won't have a part in it beyond giving him a temporary place to stay.'
Slade's words stung Hael's mind as he spoke. She knew he was furious, and she knew that he just didn't understand. It would be hard, talking about her past and the reason why she told the stag to 'just do it', but if she wanted Slade to trust her, she knew she'd have to. But for now, she was silent, taking his words in like a stabs in the heart. Maybe her taking care of the weak stag was too much, but she knew she had too much of a heart to just leave him.
Hael struggled to keep the stag up with her smaller body, but knew that she had to. He seemed hesitant at first, and that really wasn't surprising to Hael, considering all that has happened. She smiled at the stag's words upon telling him her name finally.
'Tilney. My name is Tilney'
"That's a very odd, but unique name. I like it."
She forced a smile, her icy blue eyes glistening as she glanced over to his golden ones, trying to fight back the tears and hurt of Slade's words. Hael halted as Tilney drank, pleased that he had more strength, and still forcing her simple smile.
'I cannot tell you how sorry I am. I actually think this guilt could kill me.'
Hael immediately lost her smile at his whispered words. Her face became dull and expressionless, lost in Slade's previous words. Even though she knew what she said was right at the time of the breeding, she couldn't help but trap Slade's words in her mind.
"I told you to do it. Do not be sorry, and do not have guilt."
She spoke in a hush whisper, stressing her words but keeping her face expressionless. Even though she was still young, she felt changed after this experience. So much happened so fast, she was overwhelmed. She felt sick to her stomach. She dropped to the ground, folding her feathered legs underneath her as she waited for Slade's signal. She knew there was another mare here; she could smell her, but for right now, she felt so physically and emotionally drained.
At the sound of Slade's voice, confirming that the other mare was safe and there was no harm, Hael unfolded her legs and lifted herself, stumbling but standing once again. Her icy eyes changed from Tilney to Slade's and she could just barely hear the words exchanged. A sick pang of jealousy hit her stomach, and rage filled her eyes as she watched, eyeing the other mare, obviously more pretty than her. She gasped at Slade's demeanor and flirtatious words, feeling hurt and betrayed, even more than she already was.
"He's not even yours, Hael. He doesn't love you, remember? After all that you did, you think he would love you?"
Tears escaped her eyes at her thoughts, knowing the voices in her head were right. There was nothing she could do, so she dropped to the ground, nibbling listlessly on the dead grass below, feeling small snowflakes hit her nose and camouflage within her pelt as she watched Slade flirt and play games with the other, better-looking mare in front of him.
"See? He's already forgotten about you. Silly Hael, thinking you and Slade would be together forever. So young, so naïve."
She laid her head down, pretty much forgetting the presence of Tilney, and for once letting the voices in her head speak and scream in her ears, feeling the weights on her heart grow heavier and heavier by the moment.

His golden eyes watched the young mare as she spoke, telling him to not be guilt because she had told him to do it. "Even so, You didn't know what you were getting yourself into... neither did I" He whispered quietly and looked away, ashamed "you..." he stammered "You were in so much pain, and I didn't do anything about it. I was just scared of what they'd do" Tilney whispered to her, though her eyes were on something else.
He turned his head to see Slade dashing around through the snowflakes with some other mare. He didn't know who it was, perhaps a herd member, or a mate, or a stranger. From what he had gathered, Hael and Slade were more then friends. Then who was this mare? Obviously Slade needed to sort out his priorities. He had two people waiting by the entrance while he frolicked and carried on with another mare? Really, Tilney already despised that stag enough for spitting on him, but now he thought him a bit stupid and heartless as well.
He glanced to Hael when he heard movement beside him, and saw her laying on the ground. "Hael!?" Tilney spoke and dipped hi muzzle down to her fetlocks and gentle nudged them. She certainly didn't look well. "Are you in pain?" Tilney spoke to the young mare as his feet. He looked up to Slade with a slight glare and then exhaled, seeing Hael pick herself up and move off.
He followed closely behind, walking beside her through the herdlands. His pace was tremoured and careless. he was exhausted and still quite parched. He saw tears pull from her eyes at the sight of Slade once more with the other mare and frowned, sending another glare up to him. Hael had lowered herself to the ground, laying in the dead grass. She as obviously heartbroken, and he could understand why. He sighed and said
"do you love him?"

'Even so, You didn't know what you were getting yourself into... neither did I.'
Hael chuckled to herself at this comment. As much as she wanted to keep her past to herself and never share it, she knew she had to for Slade and Tilney to understand. It was the least she could do, after everything that she caused. With her face grim, she spoke in a deep, hushed tone.
"But that's the thing. I did know what I was getting into. I know fairly well."
She turned her head to Tilney beside her, her icy eyes glaring into his with a small portion of anger and sadness in her voice.
"I was born there, Tilney. I grew up there. I know exactly what would have happened if you didn't..."
She trailed off, embarrassed to even say the words, even though it happened. She turned away, once again letting her dull gaze turn to Slade and his happiness. She wished that mare was her. She wished she was running around, chasing after Slade happily. She wished none of this ever happened, She could blame others, but she knew it wasn't right. It was all her fault, and that was hard to deal with. She led Slade there by stupidly running away, getting him caught. Though she couldn't control the human's actions, she knew what happened would happen eventually. After all, it is a breeding farm.
"I'm fine Tilney. I've experienced worst."
Hael snapped back at him, surprised at her own reaction. She never spoke to anyone like this, but with the anger and sadness building up inside of her, she felt like she was going to explode. A frown appeared on her pink lips as she glanced back up to Tilney.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to..."
Hael sighed and watched, lost in thought, knowing she hadn't provided enough information to satisfy Tilney, but not wanting to provide any more. She laid her head down in the dead, wet grass, not minding the slow snowflakes that melted in her pelt, not minding the cold, not minding anything. She felt dead, even though her body shook from the melting ice running down to her skin.
'Do you love him?'
Hael was genuinely surprised at his question, leaving her speechless for a moment, not sure of how to respond. She turned her head, staring directly at Slade with racing thoughts. Did she really love him? She appreciated everything he did for her, but they really didn't know much about each other, plus he was furious with her. Not knowing what to say or feel, she mumbled a response.
I.. I don't know. I don't think he loves me, so..."
And for a moment she thought if staying in this herd was even worth it anymore.

Tilney looked down to the cremello feme beside him and sighed when she spoke to him of being born there at that breeding farm. He frowned and shook his head, lowering himself down to the ground beside her. "you must of felt trapped" the young stag muttered to her and then looked over her healing fetlocks and sighed. He had come out of this, pretty much unscathed apart from all the dehydration.
Can I ask you a question?" He murmured quietly, not knowing what she felt about speaking to him. "When will you know if you... will have a foal or not" He whispered, cautious as he spoke. He was always trying ot find the right words though occasionally they never came. "Also, I hope you know that I'm willing to do anything to reconcile for what I did." Tilney told her, his green gold eyes looking into her blue ones.
He looked over at Sade again with dissapointment and exhaled "Do you need anything?" He asked her, looking back to her with a small sigh. Hethought of the possiblity of a foal once more and frowned, pushing himself up onto his feet. He was scared now. What if she was expecting a foal, and it was his fault hat she was now burdened with that? plus, he laos would have that responsibility of looking after it, or would he? would she let him into their foals life?
He then stepped away, walking back to the stream to take some more sips of water. He thought deeply to himself, sighing heavily. He wondered what would happen from here. He followed his tracks back to Hael nd stood beside her once more. "Should we find shelter for the night? He asked

Bones paused as he spoke, listening intently at his words. After first she thought he was angry with her hesitation to stay, but his half smile and little chuckle made her relax. It wasn’t that she did not like him or this land, she just thought she needed to move on. She never did stay in one place for too long anyway. Once he was done speaking a small smile turned up the corners of her lips. “I shall stay for two days, this place is pretty nice…and your company is welcome,” She said softly, adding the last part in on a whim.
The mare glanced up as it began to snow, her smile getting a bit bigger. She loved the snow, it was beautiful and covered everything. It was by far her favorite season, as long as it did not get too cold in the night. It wasn’t like she had anyone to stay close to and get warm with. This day was really turning out to be great. She had made a new friend, was finding out information about Fear, and it was snowing.
Bones watched him in fascination as he trotted off, his words making her ears perk up. Follow him? Like a game of chase? A large smile brightened her facial features before she ran off after the stallion, just happily trotting and frolicking in the falling snow. Laughter bubbled through her lips, catching up with the stallion and nipping playfully at the stallion. “Now you must catch me,” She said happily before she turned around and trotted off.
The scent of other’s hit her nostrils then, causing her to pause for a moment. When she saw the crying mare on the ground though she instantly became concerned, glancing up at Slade with worried eyes. “I think there is something wrong with your herd members…” She mumbled as she stood there. It was very clear that the mare was upset about something, but the random glares she had managed to catch from the large stallion there clearly gave her the impression that he did not like Slade.
The brindle mare frowned, what exactly had she joined for two days? What kind of crazy thing did this herd have going on? She knew that Slade had seemed rather preoccupied, upset, and even mad earlier, and by the light colored mare’s tears she had a feeling they were somehow connected. Were they mates and Slade was using her to prove a point? Had she created drama for herself without even knowing about? She was just feeling uneasy right now, and did not trust the ones around her anymore.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
'You must of felt trapped.'
Hael sighed, reminiscing about her past with her mother, though she really didn't want to.
"I was too young to understand that. Only until I went back was when I realized the chains that were around every horse there and me at the time. But I had my mother to protect me there. She made everything.. Nice and peaceful. Like that place was meant for us, and that we were supposed to be there. I guess I don't blame her for leaving me anymore.."
Hael's eyes glistened with pools of salty tears. She knew she couldn't really be mad at her mother for escaping that prison anymore, but still wondered where she went after. Even though she still didn't trust Tilney, after everything she went through, she felt the need to vent, and he was there.
"She took after some stag. He was big, like you and Slade, but.. I think he was dark. He had this look about him.. And then my mother left me out in the woods to join him. I don't know where she went.. But I wandered until I found Slade, and he touched me and I just.."
Her voice was shaky as she spoke, lowering her head in defeat at what she had done to Slade. She paused, waiting for Tilney's words to save her from her wretched thoughts. Whispered words entered Hael's ears as Tilney spoke again, cautious and quiet. Surprised, she unfolded her legs and lifted herself more gracefully, trying to put out a confident front, though inside, her spirit was broken.
'When will you know if you... Will have a foal or not?'
Hael stood beside him, shivering as the melted ice dripped down her pelt and back down to the frozen ground.
"I don't know. I've never... I've never done anything like this, or went through anything like this. So I'm not sure..."
She was confused on how to tell, as much as he was. She had no idea how to deal with possibly being pregnant, and she had no idea how to deal with possibly having a foal and no mate. Would others look down on her for it? To her, her future and her foal's future would be grim. She shivered at the thought of telling others her 'maybe' foal's father and how she became pregnant, in the future. Her thoughts were interrupted by Tilney's gentle words.
Hael snorted, turning her icy eyes to Tilney's and focusing intently on him.
"Now listen here. I don't expect you to stay even if I do have a foal. What happened, happened, and it's all my fault. So don't stay because you feel guilty, and don't stay because of what you... Did to me. I will be fine on my own."
The words came out in a harsh whisper, and were hard to say. She really didn't know if she would be fine on her own. She hated to be alone, and now that Slade was furious with her, she didn't know if she should stay or leave.
"You don't have to take care of me."
She told him abruptly, responding to his question in a flash of a second.
"Tilney. I'm thinking about leaving. Leaving this herd. Even though I just got here, I don't want to put Slade through anymore. I've already put him through enough... I don't know what to do."
For once, she reached out to a stranger. She was at a complete lost of words, and a complete lost of thoughts. She stepped forward swiftly, ignoring his question about finding shelter, and making her way to the strange mare. She had no idea what she was doing. It was like she couldn't control her actions or body, and she had no idea what she would say. As she closed in on the mare, words escaped her vocal chords abruptly, surprising even herself as she stood face to face with the stranger.
"You should feel lucky! Slade took such notice of you right from the start. He'll make you feel beautiful and pretty and all sorts of things. Then he'll ignore you, without even wanting to understand. You're just another pretty mare to add to his books!"
The words were harsh and angry, and they echoed throughout the land as if she was screaming. She decided to take out all of her anger on this strange mare, as if she had anything to do with what just happened, and immediately, she regretted her words. Her face fell once more, a slight tear escaping as she looked at the other mare with a pained expression and walked back to Tilney. Without even glancing at him, she took a spot underneath a pine tree, already starting to become covered with snow, and collapsed, facing away from everyone else, hoping to stay unnoticed from the world, and hoping that the anger and sadness would just fade away with sleep.

The brindle mare was standing there and waiting for Slade to do something, and she was lost in her thoughts. She really didn’t know what to expect from this situation and had no idea what was going on. That made her uneasy and made her want to disappear for a moment, just let them deal with their own problems. This was clearly not her drama though, this was their own. Bones was quickly snapped out of her reverie when she heard the harsh words of the crying mare.
Bones flicked her ears back, quite surprised and taken aback. She had not asked for any of this, she barely even knew anything about Slade. “Now excuse, I understand you are obviously hurt, I am sorry about that. But I caused you no harm. I simply stumbled across these herd lands and met Slade, he was a kind stallion that I made friends with. It is nothing right now and no such ideas were in my mind,” She mumbled, keeping her voice calm. She was trying not to be angry and harsh with the mare, but her words were hurtful when she had just showed up here.
The mare watched as she trotted off just as easily as she showed up, like nothing had even happened. Like she hadn’t just yelled and gotten mad at her. It was ridiculous. She trotted over to her, she was not done with this yet. “I am very sorry for whatever has happened to you, but I just happened upon this place and have no idea what is going on here. I understand you are mad, but my advice is to take it up with the one you are truly mad at…” She murmured quietly, her voice soft and trying to be kind to her. Bones was not an angry mare, she would rather help and listen then be angry.

Tilney was taken aback by Haels harsh, cold words. He enever imagines he'd find her talking like this, though then he knew he couldnt expect kindness after what he had done. He looked away, standing awkwardly beside her, feeling incredibly hurt for a few moments. She continued on, growling at him like he was stupid to offer his help and his kindness. He was used to people taking advantage of his goodnature, as well as snarling at like she was doing.
When she stopped this the slight outburst, he then looked back to her when she spoke of leaving. his expression changed, to a scincere look of sadness. He hoped that she wouldnt give up that easily. "I dont think you should, Hael" He spoke to her "You need the saftely of a herd, with or without a foal. Especially with a foal" Tilney told her and thne looked away once more, expecting a volley of harsh words to come his way.
The pale mare beside him stood and shook the ice from her glistening coat and then headed over towards the brindle mare on the hill, near Slade. "Hael" Tilney murmured "Hael, i dont think you should..." He traield off when he saw the young mares hostile stance. When he heard the vicious words trail from Haels mouth he sprung out at trott, running into the river water that sepparated him from Hael and the other mare. He stopped in the river, seeing that Hael had already finnished her outburst, and turned on her heels and came barreling back towards him.
He backed up and walked back to where he had been standing before, Hael shooting right past him and burrying herself under a nearby pine tree. Tilney wandered over to her and sighed, then hearing footfalsl behind him. He turned his head to see the roan mare crossing to speak to Hael. "Excuse me, miss, but I think that that would be unwise" He spoke. Right now was not a good time to speak to Hael. However the roan mare seemed to continue on past him anyway.

Hael turned to hear the mare's footsteps coming up to her, and she instantly became nervous. She knew what she said was wrong, and she knew immediately that she had to apologize. She was so surprised at the harsh words that escaped her lips. She didn't think she could say anything like that, and to a stranger. She snorted at the mare's apology.
"Don't apologize to me, and don't feel guilty for me. I know what I said was wrong, and I am truly sorry. I didn't mean to attack you; I don't even know you, so sorry. You can leave me now."
She turned to the mare, steadying her shaky voice to speak.
'I understand you are mad, but my advice is to take it up with the one you are truly mad at.
Hael's eyes passed to Slade again, then shook her head. There was no way she could talk to him right now. They had both hurt each other, and she knew that she was too emotional to speak to him. She was jealous, and she didn't know if Slade was doing it on purpose to hurt her more, or if he just wanted the other mare. She thought that he had loved her, but now, she didn't think so at all.
Just then, she had a thought. All of this anger and sadness and jealousy was overwhelming, and for a second she wanted to try and make Slade jealous. With a pouting expression, she glanced over at Tilney, beckoning him to come over.
"Tilney, come lay with me, please."
She knew what she was doing was wrong, but she had to get Slade's attention either way.

When the pale fae before him apologized to the roan, Tilney let out a short lived sigh of relief. Hopefully that silenced the quaffle forever. He looked to the unknown bridle whostood between Hael and himself and prayed that there would be no such conflict ever again. He hoped that she would now leave, feaful that if they ontinued to talk about it then Hael would just get upset again and a similar episode would unravel.
He wondered why this mare thought it fine to stumble into a herdland and start prancing with the leader. It troubled him to think that people could be so trusting.
He looked up to Slade with the same glare he had previously looked with him at. He wondered why he was suddenly dashing around with this stranger. He turned his head when he heard Haels soft words and stared at her for a few moments. was she serious? He didnt want to dissaopoint her however. He felt like he had to do everything for her now ,after what he had done. He stepped towards her, and squeeed himself between her and the pine tree, nestling herself around her.
He leaned his bronzey head over her whither and snuck one more glance at Slade. He looked around at the dark forest around them and exhaled. it was so late, and he wondered why he had not slept yet. His coat was protecting him from the freezing temperature of the snow.

Hael watched Tilney as he squeezed between the tree she was under and her, quickly feeling the warmth of his body pressed against hers. It felt soothing to her, and soon her chills ceased and was replaced with fuzzy, tingling chills of warmth. She breathed a sigh of relief, laying her smaller head on the cold ground and shifting to move her body closer to his. She felt a pang of relief, being so close to him and feeling his body revive hers. For a second, all of her thoughts about Slade disappeared, and she was cascaded in Tilney's warmth. She shook her head, knowing all she was doing was trying to make Slade jealous. She wanted Slade to pay attention to her, and she wanted Slade to come and fight for her, not like he hasn't already. All she wanted was Slade to shift his attention from the prettier mare to her.

I knew you were trouble. when you walked in.. Slade stood in the pine trees looking out as Bones tried to find him. Suddenly a wave of guilt came over him as his eyes caught Hael and Tilney speaking in the distance. Hael never seemed to ever speak that much to Slade, and it hurt him. She had every right to speak to the stallion, infact there was a very high chance that she was carrying his foal. That was the mere reason why Slade began speaking to Bones, and trying to have some fun with her, just to get what could have been out of his mind. He had feelings for Hael, and it was safe to say he was starting to love her, quickly. Though, the minute Tilney bred her, the whole book changed, everything changed. If Tilney was going to stay around then it was his duty as a man to raise that foal with Hael, he had created it. That was something that Slade couldn't get into the middle of, even if it hurt his heart. Though, as he looked on, he knew he had to explain all of this. His hooves however seemed to be trapped, stuck in place as he looked on. With every word Hael curved with her mouth even though he could not understand, he sighed. She seemed to have conversations much easier with Tilney then him. Now and then he would get a glare seemingly right through his soul from the both of them, it hurt. Slade didn't even notice when Bones did come up and find him, at this point he almost completely ignored her until he felt her playful nip, but his eyes were still fixated on the new pair... the stag with Hael. Slade completely ignored most of the words Bones spoke, so many battles were going on in his mind as he began to conjure a large speech for all of them. It would make sense of the situation and explain everyone's actions. Only lead of a herd for a few days and already it was going horribly, a giant clusterfuck at that for lack of better words. Slade let out a giant sigh as Bones stood beside him. Then he watched as Hael got up and came to speak to Bones, the words he heard from Hael pretty much ripped out his heart and trampled it. With those feelings, he realized, he had loved Hael, just never did tell her. Though now that everything was changed because of Tilney he was afraid it was something that could never be. He felt horrible now for speaking with Bones and trying to lighten his mood, to Hael and Tilney that didn't see that, they saw a stallion with no regard to emotions of others. Clearly, it was time to speak up and clear the air. The large speech within Slade's head grew better and better as his stones were put in motion after Bones left to go speak with Hael. He had to take care of this now, end the hurt feelings, end the feuds and the misunderstandings. He just only hoped everyone would understand his words, put aside what had happened these last few days and just genuinely listen to what he had to say with an open mind. As he neared Tilney and Hael he could see them tucked up close to one another. It was like a knife to the heart as only days ago that was him next to Hael, but he knew he'd have to get over it, this could be how life was supposed to go and he would just have to move on past what could have been. Now close to the Trio, Slade cleared his throat and stood tall, though if you really read into him, you could tell he was hurting and crumbling inside. As he opened his maw his voice was strong and clear, you could tell he had something important to say, and wanted them all to hear it.
"Please, lets all put aside our differences. I need to speak with you all but I don't want mixed feelings getting between what I have to say. Say what you'd like to after I finish, but for now I would just like to have the respect of everyone of you listening to what I say with an open mind. I know I have hurt you all in some way and no matter how many times I say I am sorry, you may never accept that, and I understand it. But please, just listen.."
He stopped. His eyes still fixated on Tilney and Hael snuggling. He just couldn't seem to shake her from his mind but expected it would take a while for him to get over his feelings. Though he felt it was something he had to do, for the good of the herd but most importantly, Hael was carrying Tilney's baby, NOT his... a small sigh reached his lips, almost unnoticeable as he waited for everyone's reply and attention before he continued on with all the words he really wanted to say, already waiting at the tip of his tongue.

Take me to the stars. ------------------- Don't ever let me go. -------------------
Hael watched as Slade drew near, instantly jumping up from Tilney's warmth and shifting her full attention on Slade. She had hoped her snuggling with Tilney would get Slade jealous, but to Hael, he just looked sad and broken. She listened as he started to speak, feeling more horrible by every second. What had become of her? This was not the Hael Slade knew. It seemed her whole persona changed, and not for the better.
It was like the whole world revolved around Slade and everyone else wasn't there. The lines around him were a blurr, but her cold eyes followed his lips as he spoke, as if in slow motion. He was completely mesmerizing, tantalizing, and she knew then that she had to tell him how she felt. She had to tell him everything. She hated seeing him hurt, and she hated herself for purposely doing that to him. She just didn't feel right.
Hael glanced over the strange mare beside her, feeling uncomfortable that she was there and hearing Slade's speech. She definitely didn't know what was going on, but Slade spoke as if she really wasn't there. Hael knew it was important. The anger and emotions had drug on for just too long, and she could hear his strong voice, knowing there was so much more behind that.
